An institution for 94 years, with wooden seats, painted mural walls, and open late. This is a pizza place's pizza place - as traditional as it gets, and exactly what you want. A slice is $4.00, large and filling; fresh sauce and a perfect dough crust. I am told this is a great place for late night pizza too! read more

Uncharacteristically short review, on only one item. Please give me some slack, since most of mine have several items on multiple visits. -- Pepperoni pizza slice ($5): Imagine a giant triangular breadstick that Gepetto turned into a pizza slice. That's what the dough tasted like-- a breadstick. The tomato and cheese were fairly standard; the pepperoni was very thin, light on both color and cure, but-- to its credit-- bled pepperoni nectar into the pizza. Not much flavor overall, but something in there was sweet. I could even smell it-- like a donut smell. But I couldn't figure out whether it was the dough, the sauce, the cheese, or the pepperoni. But it was sweet, like a beach pizza. Not my thing. Service was okay. Not noteworthy in either the positive or negative direction. Low key casual environment with many booths and nice murals. read more

A good way to kill a business is to not honor the prices you advertise. You have "cash only" signs over the phone, but I went in person and was charged $7 over the price displayed on your own counter. We have been buying pizza here for a long time. I understand prices went up recently, but charging more than the posted price and changing your payment policy without clear notice is a great way to lose loyal customers. Very disappointing. read more

Have gotten take out from this place a couple times and the pizza is delicious! Service is usually quick too!

One of the worst steak and cheese subs I have ever had. And on top $1.5 additional for literally two tiny bits of pepper. Really wanted to like this place as it's close to me but disappointed read more

I really wanted to like this pizza, but found the plain cheese pizza just average. My mistake was not ordering a full Sicilian pie. The Sicilian slice was perfectly delicious with a wonderful tangy sauce. Service was classic Boston pizza parlor-est, same with ambience. read more

Okay Pino's, I have slept on you and for that - I apologize. I was finally in the area and there was parking in front of their place at 5:30 so I saw it as a sign. I usually try to get pictures, but I had a light lunch so both slices were demolished. I got a pepperoni slice and a Sicilian cheese slice and also a fountain drink - Pepsi. $13 (I can't remember if it was with tip or not, but I would pay it again). The guy at the counter was nice enough and it has a cute little old school pizza spot vibe (probably because it is one). After 5 minutes, it was ready and I was headed out. I ate these in my parking spot to give reference to the hunger I was having. Can I say how refreshing it is to get slices that aren't burnt to hell? Don't get me wrong - there's the brick over and wood-fired and all that. Okay, I get it, but some places just absolutely burn the eff out of your crust just to reheat and you end up with acrid cardboard slices covered in grease. I tried the foldable pepperoni slice first and yes, it's a bit greasy but we love it. Very tasty and everything worked well; crust had a nice chew and the cheese/sauce/pepperoni all worked very well together. That Sicilian slice sent me; such a nice bite that I was cussing in my car about it (in a good way). Are these Michelin level? No. Do you want a solid slice that you won't be upset about spending money on? Stop by here. read more

I've been coming here for 40 years. As good as it ever was for a quality, nostalgic taste of childhood.

Really solid option for a pizza delivery in the Brighton area. I don't have it as often anymore, but this used to be one of my go-to places. Just about as close as you can get to New York City style slices. The sauce is always super fresh, the cheese is perfectly melted, and the thin crust is amazing. The pizza is always made with love and is served hot. Pino's is absolutely GOATED. Just writing this review makes me want to come back for a slice! read more

Ordered a steak, onion, cheese Ok, could be better Should toast roll Steak not enough in sandwich Steak cooked too long Pinnochios in Harvard square makes same type slices of steak sandwich and is much better there Sorry to say... but they have twice the steak, toast roll, cook steak medium vs well done or burnt look Been eating at Pinos for 45 ... during BC visits, Boston late night pizza slices after Maryanns or Other spots... read more

I love Pino's. I'm from upstate New York, and I spent a couple of years looking for a good pizza place. There are plenty of fine pizzas in Boston, but nothing really felt like home. When I found Pino's, I immediately noticed that it had that sort of family business atmosphere to it. In a world of corporate joints, that is something special. The pizza itself is great, too. Their circular pies are fine, but the Sicilian style is really something special. Plus, they're always quick. I've never waited more than fifteen minutes for a pizza, regardless of when I order. A wonderful pizza place that I can only hope will stick around forever. read more

Was in the Boston area and had to stop at Pino's to reminisce about my college days 38 years ago. I vividly recall walking down the hill to Cleveland circle with fellow classmates to grab a few slices. Weather it be regular style or Sicilian the pizza was hot, delicious and affordable. The walk back was always more enjoyable with a full belly. This time I ordered a Sicilian pizza with pepperoni, onion and olives and a Greek salad. Pizza was amazing as was the salad. Wish I lived closer. Give Pino's a try and create your own food memories!! read more

Wow - DELICIOUS PIZZA! Ingredients were fresh, flavorful, and in just the perfect amount. I ordered a large half margherita w/ garlic & half pepperoni w/ extra cheese pizza on a requested thin crust. The guys behind the counter making the fresh dough, kneading it out by hand, & making the pizza were super friendly & helpful. There is a reason they got an award for top 3 best of 2026 pizza! They take pride in their work & it shows! I'll definitely be back! I'd post a photo but my friends and I gobbled the pizza up too quickly! Hockey game was on inside the building and the vibe was good. read more

Disappointing pizza with mediocre ingredients, overcooked to a biscuit. It was not in any way better than Domino's.

Pinos makes great pizza. We ordered two pizza to go a large cheese and a veggie pizza both were excellent. Pinos cheese rivals any pizza out there regardless of who is getting the most votes. Like it says on the Box "you can end the quest at Pino's you have found the best! The veggie pizza was so good fresh veggies just wonderful I had two slices of eash and i was stuffed. The only Problem with pinos is that the pizza is so good you will eat it past the point of being full. YUM read more

The pizza was really good! Got half cheese - half pepperoni for my family and it was great. Service was nice, but if you eat to go you're not allowed to sit and eat your pizza, they want you to order regularly and sit. The ambiance is nice, I believe it's really authentic. read more

We lived in Brighton, near here, many years ago, and finally had the chance to check this place out. Casual spot, reasonably priced. We liked the sauce, cheese and toppings; not as much the crust - a bit like the frozen pizza type, but overall, pretty good and not too heavy. read more

Spent a good part of the summer in New York City and had my fair share of New York Style Pizza while there. If you like a thin slice of pizza with a chewy, yet crunch texture, then Pino's traditional pizza (not the Sicilian.. "Square" pizza) comes closest to New York Style Pizza. My Review is based on 2 visits that I had here. My first visit was late at night while driving home and craving a slice. The store hours state that it is open until 1am, I came through the doors at 11:50pm, and everything was closed and cleaned up. The manager and the cook was standing at the register getting ready to call it a day. I apologized for coming in started to turn around and head back out. The manager was very kind and said, "No problem what do you want?" I told him I just wanted a slice of cheese and he said that it wouldn't be a problem because he had a full pizza and asked if I wanted to buy the whole thing instead. Just as he asked, the door opened and the customer came in apologizing for being late (Owner of the whole cheese pizza I was about to buy). The manager's face looked like, "Oh crap what do I do?" I spoke up first and said that it was be okay, and I would come back another time. Understanding what had happened, the late customer said they would be happy to give up a slice (so long as they were not charged for the slice I was taking). The manager took out a slice, threw it in the oven and a few minutes later I was handed a hot slice of cheese pizza. I was happy with the gesture from all those involved, but the slice I got was a small slice. (can't be helped, the pizzas are cut by hand). To get a better review, I went back yesterday for lunch and got the number 1 combo (2 slices of cheese and a soda) for $10. The slices were definitely larger. The texture is spot on with New York Style Pizza. read more

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE!! I tipped $10 ahead of time for a 2 minute drive which I never should have done. The loser left my food sitting on the ground and NEVER called me. He lied and said he "tried to call me twice". If he had admitted that he 'forgot to call', I wouldn't be so livid. The pizza is cold, after sitting on the GROUND for 20 minutes. Please please trust me. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM PINOS, Brighton. Very dishonest delivery, and the manager said to me..."eh, we're about to close now, so call again tomorrow." The better response would be: 'So sorry, I will call you tomorrow to work this out.' Shoddy shoddy service. OH, I gave 3 stars just so that someone might read this. They get zero stars. read more

This was s the pizza of my childhood, and I'm pretty old. When I was a kid growing up in Brookline, if it was a special day, my mom would get pizza from Pino's. It was always delicious. I moved away many years ago and hadn't been there since. Last year I was in Brookline, so ordered a pizza from Pino's to take home with me. Just as delicious as I remembered. It tastes like my childhood memories, and that says it all. Heavenly. Now when I'm in Brookline, I always get a pizza. My Texan husband is now a fan too! read more

Ambiance fine, hey it's a pizza place. Service is good; go to the counter and order pizza or subs. Subs are good, as is the pizza. And they'll make it the way you want, although I like it very crispy, and twice it came out of the oven, and I asked for more heat. The subs are one price:$12. Easy parking in front. The 7-11 if your hungry, the slices are low price, and not bad. read more

Editing to add more detail. 3.5/5 Pros: -Slices available -Super crispy Cons -Credit card minimum (not sure what it is, but the employee said "I hope you have cash" when I bought one slice) -Oily -- Cheese Slice ($2.88 with tax) Large slice. Super thin and crispy, which is the best part about it. It's fairly oily. It doesn't taste that indulgent, but on the flip side I also appreciate that it's kind of light. If you're craving pizza that's not that heavy, I'd recommend Pino's. If you want to go all in, Regina's or elsewhere! read more
