However, the customer service and the food were 5/5 stars!!! We made some tweaks to our orders, which were correctly done and the food looked amazing and well presented, so service ... highly appreciate. The food tasted so fresh and healthy. The prices were not too bad for the quality and quantity either. The grain bowls come with a lot of substance and flavor, so I highly recommend them. This place has to be on the top of your list if you are visiting Boston. I ordered a Baked Falafel flat bread wrap, Grilled Halloumi Mezze, and a drink. I added a side of Babaganoush with my wrap. This place hit the spot with all the flavors and is definitely place I'd return to. The wrap was a bit on the smaller side so I'm glad I ordered a side. I couldn't help myself. Ordered two days in a row. ~ Halloumi m'anoush was good, but I like the za'atar one better. And the halloumi shines more as an add on to the fattoush salad. ~ The lentil rice bowl is pure comfort food- tasty, warm, very filling, but healthy. It includes a scoop of Armenian salad (mix of tomato, cucumber, parsley) but if you are feeling like veggies- go with the salad instead. LOVED the labne with berries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds. ~ The labne is thick and creamy, berries fresh, and the grape molasses nice and tart. I tried the lentil rice bowl ($12) with red lentil kofta (additional $5). The bowl was tasty and balanced, although the spicy red pepper was rather sour. I appreciated that you can customize the bowl; the hummus was rich, and the fattoush was especially refreshing and delicious! I also included walnut harissa but couldn't find anything like it in the bowl; if the red pepper part was supposed to be the harissa, it was sour and had a different, more coarse/chunky texture than any harissa I've had in the past. My order was ready on time, but the lid wasn't fully closed when I opened the bag. Overall, not the flavors I was expecting, so I'm hoping this was a one-off. read more

Anoush'ella is a casual Mediterranean spot that's good for a group or for dining-in on your own. There's plenty of table and bar seating when you first walk in and in the back. It's a conducive ambiance to catch up with a friend or meet someone for the first time. The decorations inside are eclectic and tie the place together well. The location is really close to the Boston University Medical Campus & Boston Medical Center and is easy to find. There's lots of street parking nearby that uses the ParkBoston App. The service was okay. After you walk-in, there's a large menu with the names of the dishes on the wall, which is near the kiosk to order your food from. There's limited options for a mediterranean place and they don't really do customizations. However, the staff bring the food to your table after you order. The food itself didn't taste very good. I ordered the Za'atar chicken (wrap) and my friend ordered a bowl. Both of our dishes had flavors that were incohesive, the ingredients felt mid, and I wish there was better use of texture. However, for the price, I was okay with what I ordered. I wouldn't go back to try another entree, but their dessert menu looked intriguing. read more

Came across this spot while searching for Armenian spots in Beantown. I ordered the zataar wrap and lebne with lahmejoon on top. Both were amazing. Labne was real flavorful and meat was cooked perfectly. the zataar wrap was really good as well. Had olives and cucumbers in the wrap. Even with olives removed ( i dont like olives) it was very flavorful. I wish i had met some armenian people that worked there while i was there but didnt. The zaatar is a fake cheap imitation. The bread is not authentic, and the combinations on the menu make no sense. Not recommended.

Got the kofta, baba ganoush, and rice pudding. Taste was 5 stars!! I had eaten middle eastern food but this one blew me away and was slightly different, the kofta had some sort of green sauce that was amazing, the baba ganoush was garlicky, and the rice pudding was amazing. I recommend you try the rice pudding. My one caveat was that the portions were small, like way smaller than I expected, so four stars. read more

Food: HANDS DOWN one of my FAVORITE restaurants in town. Everything is so fresh, filling, but not too heavy. Their spicy cauliflower burger is AMAZING, the pesto sauce that goes with it, the burger itself... YUM. Also their mezze is incredible, you simply CANNOT go wrong with whatever you choose to get. Not to mention, the bread that comes with it... literally AMAZING, if you have leftovers you can take that home, microwave it, eat it with peanut butter or whatever you like but their BREAD omg I could get seconds of that and still finish it lol. Also food is pretty fast whether you go for lunch or dinner heheeee. Location: I love the South End! It's in a really nice street and usually not too packed. I ordered anoush'ella through the Yelp app and my friend picked it up for me during our study break. This hearty Mediterranean bowl was worth it and more! I ordered the lentil rice bowl with overnight braised beef and I would order it again in a heartbeat. If I lived closer to this location, I would try something different on their menu every week. The bowl was well balanced and flavorful - the sauces were herbaceous and complimented the soft and tender meat. The lentils were also cooked well and the labneh was a nice cooling element against the crunchy, spicy garlic. Not only is this bowl packed with flavor and texture, it is good for two portion sizes (and one if you are really hungry!) The wife and I have decided we are going to try a new restaurant every two weeks and this week didnt disappoint. I really enjoyed this place, a solid 4.5/5. Let's start with the ordering experience. Go to their website and look at their menu. It is straight forward compared to the yelp online ordering menu, where its confusing and counterintuitive. The wife and I decided to drive there and order in person because we only looked at the yelp online ordering menu and thank goodness we did. I believe the owner took our order and he was very helpful and patient. He explained everything and made sure my wife's order was dairy free. He even suggested us go up to the food line to help us make our decisions. I eventually ordered the toasted couscous with beef and chicken. I just couldn't decide! Plus it doesn't help when you are hordering (hungry ordering). It was 3.50 for each protein. The chicken is slow cooked pulled chicken breast generously seasoned with Mediterranean spices. Most Mediterranean restaurants use dark meat so this was a pleasant surprise also the chicken wasn't dry, so props to them. The beef was prepared the same way, I think by themselves I preferred the chicken, but the beef went well with the many assorted sauces/dips the bowl comes with. If I had to complain, the salad dressing had too much citrus or vinegar. My wife really enjoyed the walnut harissa, I only had two bites :/... the price of love... moving on to her order, she got the sabich as is (did not add a protein). The lavash bread was toasted on the flat top giving the wrap a nice crunch. Im a firm believer in toasting wraps prior to making them. So Idk if she was just hungry or her wrap was that good, but she didn't say one word until her plate was empty. Her rating is 5/5 read more

I came to anoush'ella while visiting Boston, and boy do I wish we had them in Atlanta! I would be here once a week, every week, guaranteed. We found anoush'ella after a long day of exploring Boston. We'd walked all around the Copley area, the library, down Commonwealth and through the Common, down the Esplanade, and after all that activity we were much in need of a nourishing meal. Anoush'ella was highly rated and nearby; plus, we happened to be craving some mezze. The restaurant is close to a fast casual format--you order and pay at the counter and then they bring the food out to you. I personally prefer this style of dining because it combines the informality of counter service with the convenience of having your food brought to you. I find having to pay attention to hear my name called a bit stressful, especially in bustling restaurants! The menu for dinner (we didn't look at the brunch menu at all) has a wraps section, bowls section, mezze (both hot and cold), and sweets. They also serve drinks both alcoholic and non, but we weren't drinking that night so we didn't try any. With the bowls, you can choose either a greens base or a grains base, and add a protein if you like. I went for the lentil rice base, which comes complete with Armenian salad (a cucumber tomato type), labneh, and pepper/walnut harissa. I also added some chicken za'atar because I was SO hungry, but the bowl itself without the chicken is so filling and complete that on any other day I might not need the extra protein. We each got a cold mezze on the side, so we had baba ghanoush and labneh with their saj bread. My dinner buddy had the sabich. The saj is incredible, and I am obsessed with their labneh! Their mezze portions are so generous that despite how hungry we were and how I hate leaving uneaten food, we actually couldn't finish every single bite of the mezze. Each part of my lentil rice bowl complemented the others with their flavors and textures. I felt so nourished by this meal. Gluttons that we are, we also ordered their rice pudding, topped with syrup and fruits. They don't have a big dessert menu but this is really all you need. We got the platter for two, as well as a side of chicken. The platter featured cold mezze, and the employee was very flexible about making substitutions for us. The walnut harissa was my favorite part of the platter - hearty, with just enough spice to keep things interesting. But honestly, every cold mezze we had was great, we cleaned the plate! The restaurant is a fast casual setting, maybe slightly fancier than a Cava; there are seats/booths in the back for a more sit-down experience, compared to the bar and communal table in the front. I had their food for the first time at Timeout Market, and got the cod wrap (probably my favorite thing from here so far) and a dip platter which were both amazing, but I went into the actual location and got their fattoush salad with chicken, and it was also very very good! The server at the register was very helpful in helping me pick what I would like, and it wasn't too busy inside. You order your food at the register and then sit down, so it is a great place for a more casual lunch or dinner with some friends (or by yourself like I did!) I sat down and studied at a table next to an outlet and they didn't say anything, and it was a pretty good study environment tbh. Anoush'ella has great Mediterranean food though, and I highly recommend it. read more

Our experience was with delivery which by the way the reviews look, is a very different experience than dining at the place. It shouldn't be that disparate for eating in a location and delivery which is why my husband and I were so disappointed. I had come home from a long day of work and was starving. We ordered for delivery yesterday. The delivery wasn't the issue, if anything we got our meal way earlier than I was expecting. That came with a cost, given we were missing several items. We paid for extra bread and there wasn't bread to be found. The brown rice bowl which cost almost 20 dollars on its own had a spoon of the two dips that were supposed to be included (not at all a shareable or good amount). It was mostly a bowl of just rice and hardly anything else. The portions of the hummus and eggplant dip for delivery were tiny as well. The only thing that was sufficient was the chicken zaatar wrap. No utensils or plates provided, even though they were requested. We had to warm up our own bread at home to eat with the food. We enjoyed the flavors of the meal but would absolutely never order from here again. The only way would be to try to dine in, but again, it shouldn't be that disparate. read more

A cute restaurant with light fare, all decent to good. Would be a good local spot, but not worth a special visit. The kenefe was warm and tasty, and probably the most filling, being cheese filled flatbread. The fattoush with haloumi was mostly a romaine salad, and almost 4$ for four smallish chunks of haloumi seemed on the pricey side. I preferred it to the tabouleh with lentil kofta, though, as the kofta didn't have much flavor, and the tabouleh was mostly lemony in flavor. The best item we tried was the halva. Although halva is too sweet for my personal preference, it was really good in the fruit and flatbread combination, so if you like halva, you should definitely get it! read more

The time for pickup ended up being longer than originally quoted, but that might be Grubhub's fault. I ordered the kofta m'anoush. It was delicious and the lab was fresh, but the portion was really small. It was nearly $12 and definitely not worth it. My boyfriend felt the same about his sabich. Good but overpriced. We also got labne. He got the blueberry power bowl and I got the rice pudding. He liked his but as mentioned in other reviews the portion is really small. Not only was mine small but you can see it was grossly runny and the rice was hard and overcooked. For $6.50 I expect more. I don't think I will return. I liked the kofta, but the portions were not big for the price and I'm really upset over my crunchy yet liquid rice pudding. With so many places in the area, try elsewhere. read more
