fattoush salad w/ halloumi
Alice Z.

Food: 4/5 | Service: 4/5 | Experience: 4/5 This stall in Time Out Market Boston served up a really fresh and delicious salad. After ordering at the counter, you are given a buzzer. There are many long tables to sit at that is shared by the other stalls in the market. It only took a couple of minutes for my order of fattoush with grilled halloumi to come out. The salad was very fresh and well dressed. It had everything you'd expect in a salad: lettuce, tomato, other greens, and herbs. The halloumi was drizzled with some honey, which was a nice contrast to the saltiness of the cheese. The dish itself was quite good, but it was a little overpriced for what it is (as it seems to be the case for the other food stalls in the market).

This was the perfect lunch meal when you wanted something a bit refreshing, semi healthy, and tasty. Their lentil rice with zataar chicken bowl hit the spot. The flavor combination was great, and you feel good just eating it. They are pretty quick to prepare the meal.

Stumbled in here after the "Beyond King Tut" exhibit at Boston's SoWa Power Station. I probably never would of went here if I didn't randomly see the positive reviews searching for food. Boy was I pleasantly surprised to step out of my comfort zone and try this spot! This place has turned me onto Armenian food! I got the Anoush'Ella Kofta and it was incredible! Not over cooked, perfect temp, dough/bread is amazing, what's inside is even better - a flavor explosion. I wish I could tell you exactly what this is...but I'd rather you try yourself. 9/10 - would eat weekly if I was living in Boston.

Couscous with kofta and zhouk tahini grain bowl

YUM! I haven't gotten to try their South End spot yet, but after trying their Time Out Market location, I think I'll have to try their original location. I got the toasted couscous bowl ($14) with kofta and zhouk tahini sauce and the lentil rice with zaatar chicken bowl ($14). Both bowls came with so many different components that had their own unique flavor and texture profiles! I couldn't even pick my favorite because I loved everything. The portions were pretty decent. Probably not shareable, but big enough to fill you up. They give plenty of meat (either kofta or chicken) with the bowl. You can order from the Trillium beer garden and bring the food outside. The bowls were prepared within 10 minutes even though the market was pretty crowded and busy.

Lentil rice with zataar chicken - the lentil rice was mushy and lacked flavor. The chicken was super dry and also did not have flavor. The Armenian salad, labne, walnut harissa, and pickled turnip were really good though.

This place is located at the timeout market Boston. It's got really good Mediterranean food. The wrap is quite good. And there is this sampler which amazing. The presentation of food is amendable.

Expensive low quality food, falafel taste like stale cardboard if I ever tasted one. Cold, dense. Just awful

Got the lentil bowl and it was amazing! Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. Wish they had a place like this in LA.

It's a great family on run business. We had the hummus and appetizer or phenomenal as always great portions as well. I had them mixed kebab dinner. My girlfriend had the Kibby both were great lots of food and to finish the best baklava I've ever had in my life has always even brought a piece home from my mom I would recommend for any person when it's warm out. They have outside seating you can get takeout. It's right there a mess have you have to do street parking but you could always find something.

We ordered the Vegetarian grape leaves, Mujederra, Stuffed roasted eggplant appetizer, Salad with cashews -- all small dishes to share. Everything was tasty and well prepared. The only odd thing was when we first arrived, only 2-3 of the patio tables were occupied, and our friends were about to arrive. We were told - VERY STERNLY - that we needed to wait until EVERYONE was present in order to be seated, and until then, we needed to stand outside. I can certainly understand if they were busy, or even vaguely close to busy. But forcing seniors to stand outside the patio was just kinda weird. If it weren't for that off-putting interaction, I would have given them another star.

Currently closed till 7/2024 according to Yelp…read more But late 2022, we finally got the chance to try Fairouz's $43 Mixed Grill Plate (chicken, beef, shrimp (4 count), lamb, kafta (ground beef and lamb), served with rice, salad (simply lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes, and two portions of oil based dressing), garlic dip & hummus dip), to go. Everything came well packed, with the salad in a large plastic clam shell, two little sauce containers of each dip, two ziplock baggies of pita triangles, napkins, plastic ware, all sitting on the aluminum foil covered tray of meat and rice. Since I had been enticed by Bea's photo of this dish, I was a little disappointed at the lack of grilled vegetables. But there was salad and upon reflection, the menu made no mention of such veggies, so perhaps there's been changes over time? The rice received props from this household, and wonder at how it was flavored. The meat, though medium to well done, was tender enough, and the lamb lacked that gaminess that the non-lamb-eater among us so dislikes. The kafta and shrimp were the most strongly seasoned proteins of the bunch, and the shrimp rather juicy. Both hummus and garlic dip were good, but the garlic is indeed strong with the latter, so spread with a light hand. You can always add more to taste after all. The worst that could be said was that I wished that there had been more tomatoes in the salad, and if only they had not split the pita triangles. Pitas without their pockets are rather tougher to enjoy as self made mini sandwich bundles of all the good flavors and textures. I hope they see this and reconsider.
