Attended a private wedding party at Al Wadi! The service was attentive. The restaurant is super clean and the decor in the restaurant was the perfect ambience for a wedding event! The hummus, tabbouleh and lamb chops were really exceptional.

Great spot! Had a dine-in dinner on a week night and there was plenty of space to distance from other tables. Service was as excellent as the food. The za'atar served at the beginning of the meal is such a fragrant treat! The Prix Fixe for Two was plentiful, and we enjoyed the assortment so that we could try many different dishes. The tabouli satisfied my craving for something fresh and savory. The baklava dessert was the perfect balance of flakes and sweet. Can't wait to come back! It's a great before/after the Franklin Park Zoo and Arboretum nearby.

First time here at @alwadiboston and what a wonderful Lebanese dinner experience we had! We got the Al Wadi for two and were completely stuffed with leftovers to take home First, we started off our feast with a deliciously comforting bowl of chicken soup. Next, we had an array of appetizers: pita and hummus, tabouli, and stuffed grape leaves. The pita was freshly baked with a great bite to it. the hummus was deliciously creamy, made with tahini sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil. Made fresh with parsley, mint, wheat bulgur, tomatoes, onions, lots of lemon juice and olive oil, it was hands down the best Tabouli we've ever had! The stuffed grape leaves were pretty tasty, with rice, spices, and lemon juice. Next, out came the main course of chicken kebabs, kafta kebabs, and baked kibbeh. I personally loved the chicken kebabs, as they were well spiced and juicy with every bite. I did not like the kafta kebabs which were made of seasoned ground lamb only because I personally don't like gamey meat (if you like lamb, you'll love these). The baked kibbeh was made with ground beef, cracked wheat, and pine nuts. A very interesting dish, again if you like gamey meat, you'll love this. Finally, we ended the meal with dessert: baklava and namoura. The namoura was tasty with an interesting texture, made from semolina flour and yogurt and soaked in syrup. Saving the best for last, I had the best Baklava I've had in awhile, each bite of layered pastry was deliciously light and crisp, filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with honey/simple syrup. I've always thought of baklava being too sweet to ever enjoy, but like I said this was the best baklava I've ever had. The sweetness level was light enough to enjoy all the different elements of the dessert, the layers, textures, and flavors. Just divine! Please check this place out!

Love the atmosphere !!!! Great food Staff very friendly The cocktails are so good Highly recommend

Delicious authentic lebanese cuisine. I've been meaning to come here since I moved to the West roxbury neighborhood and I'm so happy I finally did. They have most amazing bubble ganoush, falafel, kibbeh kras, lamb kabobs and mix grill entrees and The baklava the lebanese ice cream and the kenfeh desserts were amazing. I'm just mad that I didn't get to come here sooner. Very satisfied.

There are countless delicious Mediterranean options here! This is one of few places where when I look at the menu just about everything sounds mouthwatering and worthy of a try. Just make sure you save room for all the dessert. Rather than ordering an entree we decided on trying as many appetizer (mezza) as possible. Here's the summary of a few noteworthy items myself and my family tried: Jawaneh (tasty chicken wings marinated with garlic, cilantro, lemon juice and olive oil): it's got bite but is oh soooo good and addictive. Never had such flavorful wings before. lentil soup: creamy, smooth, and hearty. It was a big hit with my little girl. Kibbeh krass (beef dumplings stuffed with minced beef, a hint of onions and pine nuts served with a chilled yogurt sauce): absolutely delicious but packed with protein and is super filling so don't let the size fool you. The yogurt sauce is epic and I wish there was more of it. Samak Tajine (baked sea bass topped with tahini sauce and mixed nuts): visually interesting dish and also both delicious and hearty (and healthy)! In addition to the good food, the hostess and waitress were friendly. The dining area as spacious, and clean. If you haven't tried this place you're missing out!

Ordering was at the counter and the person was so friendly and patient with our questions. We initially only ordered the chicken shawarma and moussaka and Dubai chocolate cup (no matter what, this is what I needed!). As we ate, we realized the food was good and we'd like to try other items. So we got a mulberry juice and a flatbread - 1/2 zaatar and 1/2 cheese. Everything was tasty. Some specific points: the chicken shawarma is more like a kebab than the shaved chicken I'm used to, it would be nice if they offered both. The zaatar can be a little tart and that's where the cheese balances it out. The mulberry juice is sweeeeet but great for a hot summer day. The moussaka came out cold which I was a little surprised by. The Dubai chocolate was fantastic, the only downside is that it's tiny haha. I could've eaten one more. It's an airy bright place and they also have seating outside. Parking is convenient. I'm sure we'll be back.

Currently closed till 7/2024 according to Yelp…read more But late 2022, we finally got the chance to try Fairouz's $43 Mixed Grill Plate (chicken, beef, shrimp (4 count), lamb, kafta (ground beef and lamb), served with rice, salad (simply lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes, and two portions of oil based dressing), garlic dip & hummus dip), to go. Everything came well packed, with the salad in a large plastic clam shell, two little sauce containers of each dip, two ziplock baggies of pita triangles, napkins, plastic ware, all sitting on the aluminum foil covered tray of meat and rice. Since I had been enticed by Bea's photo of this dish, I was a little disappointed at the lack of grilled vegetables. But there was salad and upon reflection, the menu made no mention of such veggies, so perhaps there's been changes over time? The rice received props from this household, and wonder at how it was flavored. The meat, though medium to well done, was tender enough, and the lamb lacked that gaminess that the non-lamb-eater among us so dislikes. The kafta and shrimp were the most strongly seasoned proteins of the bunch, and the shrimp rather juicy. Both hummus and garlic dip were good, but the garlic is indeed strong with the latter, so spread with a light hand. You can always add more to taste after all. The worst that could be said was that I wished that there had been more tomatoes in the salad, and if only they had not split the pita triangles. Pitas without their pockets are rather tougher to enjoy as self made mini sandwich bundles of all the good flavors and textures. I hope they see this and reconsider.

They look like they've changed their menu to be more Mediterranean focused, to cater to more communities. I'll say, among the Persian community in Boston, no one really talks about Stardust, which is strange because they're pretty legit. The quality, taste, and delivery timeliness were all top-notch. I'm thinking maybe their location isn't as accessible, but I'd definitely recommend them as a Persian food option for delivery or takeout. The space is small and intimate but the portions are large and the flavors "inspired." You can order off the menu or create your own. We came for the Gyro experience - but the menu is quite expansive and worth returning to explored more fully. I asked for my lamb-tenderloin gyro "Greek & Spicy" - which is laden with both Tzatziki (strained yogurt, cucumber, garlic) and a red spicy sauce. Normally, I prefer my gyro enclosed in a thick soft warm pita, but Stardust uses a thinner pita - which appears to accommodate a larger serving size while holding it all firmly together, without it falling out in a messy puddle. So I'm willing to overlook this bread issue. All in all, the star is the food, as it should be, and it doesn't disappoint. Allen is a very well-read and international citizen, who is engaging on all things Persian culture and cuisine. Strike up a convo and see where it goes.
