I got food for two delivered. The driver arrive after 70 mins (35-55 was the estimate). Some of our items were missing - such as the extra bread my husband had ordered. Oh, and the normal amount of bread that should have been there. He had to eat his two meat dishes (za'ataar chicken and Spice Overnight Braised Beef and Zhouk) on sliced bread. The chicken and meat dishes were cold and stale - they must have been sitting for a long time. I had better luck with my Za'atar M'anoush and Fattoush salad - which were mediocre but miles better still than what my husband had to eat. Fattoush salad lacked any distinctive taste, it was just watery. I've had such salads in Turkey, Armenia, Georgia and Greece, and it was an explosion of flavours! The Za'atar M'anoush would have been good freshly made, but delivered so late, it was a mushy mess. Also, portions are tiny - the meat ones only half filed the small bowls you get. It was very similar to a chunky romesco sauce. Of course I am raving about this place because of their falafels as it's the only vegetarian food I can eat in this genre of eateries. The falafel in their wraps are thinly crisp on the outside while fluffy inside. Sometimes I find falafel so dense inside but their falafel is light. Don't get me wrong, the wraps are definitely filling! The sauce is just enough not to empower the falafel, but still enough to drip all over ones fingers upon devouring. There are lots of annoying things a restaurant can do but a top pet peeve is not posting prices. Yes, i can luckily afford to walk in to a restaurant and have funds to cover a meal but i hate that i can't see prices up at this place. Why hide it? In general, the place is very confusing throughout. You walk in and it's unclear which counter one should walk up to (theres two but orders are made at just one, but people were queueing at both). There is free water but hidden in the back seating area, so you'll have to explore your way around. Food is brought to your table, but then you have to take your own plates to the garbage bin. We greeted the manager whom was at the register but he did not return the greeting before taking our order; pretty rude. The experience as a whole is not friendly and linear and therefore not inviting. Food was good but the experience as a whole was off putting. read more

Feeling really disheartened writing this. As an Armenian-Lebanese myself I was extremely excited to visit this place but it really missed the mark for me and was overall an awkward experience. There was no one inside when we went. The employees were not at all friendly. Walked to the bar to order and the server just walked to the register and stared at us (didn't say hi, just stared blankly). They didn't have many of the items on the menu and the menu is overall small/limited. You get drinks yourself in a random fridge where everything is unlabeled and there are no straws near where you get drinks. The food overall was good and presented well except the falafel. It tasted like it was baked, seemed more dry and mushy than anything. I would come back for the food but think the customer experience and menu options needs some serious improvements. read more

Came across this restaurant in the summer and tried the chicken za'atar wrap. I truly wonder where why I have not come here more often. I love the hearty flavors that Anoush'ella makes and balances it so nicely with pickled sides. Sometimes the pickles may be a little bit too sour as well as their ginger and thyme drink - but nothing a citrus lover will say no to! Anoush'ella is my favorite flavorful but clean and satisfying meal in Boston - perfect balance! The restaurant itself is modern and clean with a variety of seating. During the summer, there's outdoor seating so you can bathe in the sun. Inside, you can sit at the bar, at a long communal table, at individual tables, as well as a corner next to the fridges that can fit family-size parties. The only downside of Anoush'ella is that there's not too much transportation nearby for cold winter days but makes a very pleasant and easy stroll to get to in warmer weather. read more

This place is one of Boston's hidden gems! We ordered takeout from here many times in the past year. This past weekend we decided to eat in the restaurant since we were in the area. This is a casual place where you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I had my go to cous cous bowl and shared the chef's mezze platter. The portions for the grain bowls are great and you get to try a little of everything since it comes with some mezze on top. I always add a protein and end up stuffed. The mezze platter was nice and comes with their signature thin pita. We were hoping for more of the hot mezze (with meat) to show up on the pate but the only items were the halloumi and falafel. Hark, the herald angels sing, for I have found vegan Lebanese/Armenian paradise in Boston. A good time to check them out is after the brunch rush/before the dinner rush. We had the beautiful environs to ourselves and snatched up a prime corner spot at the counter avec a plethora of plates and their superb sangria that isn't too sweet (it's advertised as not sweet, hence me trying it. Sangria is too often a syrupy affair. No bueno). So. Hummus. Babaganouj. You know even when that stuff is basic it's still pretty good. But here it's next level divine, practically plush in texture and decadent in flavor. I tried the M'Anoush for the first time and I'll never be the same again. The taste and texture of that flatbread smothered in za'atar, olive oil and kalamata olives is haunting me as we speak. I swear once I bit into it, I went into a food fugue. This happens to me an average of twice a year, so this is good stuff, people. Good stuff served to us by good people. I've been to anoush'ella a few times (once being an amazing Yelp Elite event) and each time the food has been phenomenal. They serve eastern Mediterranean food which in my opinion is a fresher and mint-ier Lebanese cuisine. I fell in love with menu from the minute I saw the vegetarian variety. My favorite thing on their menu is actually their tahini coffee. Tahini is made from toasted sesame and that flavor blended with coffee was just - WOW. Meals wise my favorite dishes was the red lentil kofta m'anoush which is a fresh made flatbread topped with red pepper pasted and lentils. It has got an amazing flavor profile!
