Our food was so fresh and delicious! I enjoy places like Sweetgreen ( ie Cava, honeygrow etc) because your meal is made fresh to order in a cafeteria style bar. It's easy to see all your choices and it allows for easy substitutions or adding extra. Despite it being a Friday night with a concert nearby it wasn't too busy, and we were greeted promptly-the food prep workers waited patiently for us to make our choices. First time I've ever had Sweetgreen and will never be my last! Walked in before a concert for a salad to go. Love the shroomami bowl! It's my go to order every time. Sometimes I like to customize it if I'm feeling like changing it up. The standard version is already vegan. While only a few salads and bowls are vegan by default, most of the bowls and salads on the standard menu can be easily customized to be vegan or vegetarian, and if nothing fits your interest, you can always build your own bowl! The world is your salad here! Like most sweetgreens this location is primarily built for ordering and taking it to go. They have a great system if you order on their app for pick up and you can even schedule a certain timeframe that you would like to pick up. You can sit inside at the couple of tables that they have. But it is a relatively small area for dining in. They also have 2 to 3 outdoor tables when the weather is nice that you can sit at. Overall, I really love this sweetgreen! Came here on a Sunday for lunch and there were only 3 other people eating - definitely a grab and go place as many people came in for orders and left soon after. We decided to eat there though and got in line to order our food - the person working behind the counter wasn't the friendliest, but she was patient and efficient nonetheless. We got our food within 5 minutes and were eating pretty quickly after. They also give you cups for water if you ask up front. The food itself was pretty good - it's definitely a salad I wouldn't make myself and that's one of the reasons why I got it. Definitely a mix of good flavors and overall pretty filling - I think the chicken and brussels is seasonal so get it while you still can! Having just moved back to Boston, I was thrilled to see another sweetgreen location had opened up near Fenway! Stopped by for a bite to eat before doing some major shopping at Target. This location, like others, was busy but they do a really good job of keeping the line moving. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Start with a mix of kale and spinach, add avocado, quinoa, broccoli, carrots, and sunflower seeds. Of you're looking for a new sauce, you have to order what I get: half spicy cashew and half lime jalapeño vinaigrette it is the bomb! Every salad comes with a piece of bread. The drinks are good, we don't usually get them but they're not overly sweet which is nice. Sweetgreen is usually pretty standard and good. I'm a big believer in keeping shit moving. It's a great philosophy to live by both in your life and when it comes to your body. Feeling your bowels screech to a halt is debilitating. There's a lot of names for this. I like to refer to it as a stoppage of play. If a shart is a fumble, then constipation is a flag on the play. Not fun. However, I have a very honest, blunt friend who made bottlenecks sound like a spa date. She was a no-show at a group event and I asked her whether everything was okay. With a big grin, she cheerfully goes, "I was constipated!" I loved her from that day on. I also knew her pain (or pleasure?) I'm not a huge fan of raw greens in most cases but I know it has to be done. It's like going to the DMV or visiting your granddad with the roaming hands. Incredibly, sweetgreen took this seemingly bland concept and proved that it's possible to make it delicious. The key is freshness. I ordered a kale and Romaine heart salad with a few shrimp, some red onions, and a squeeze of lime juice. Traditional thick dressings make me nauseous so I passed. Creamy dressings look like . . . yes, that. Exactly what you're thinking. Every ingredient tasted like it had just been harvested and transferred straight to my bowl. Kale, despite its reputation as a hipster colon-cleanser, is actually pretty delicious when it's crisp and fresh. The Romaine hearts were fresh too and their sweetness provided a great contrast to the kale's leafiness. Everything else was delicious too. Shrimp is good on everything and the lime and red onion gave it a Mexican pop that livened it up further. I've never had a fresher salad. I've got to hand it to sweetgreen. They built a whole business based on the salad and they made it a lot more pleasant to eat than those shitty hearts of Romaine you get in most places. Those hearts look like they're pumping shit. It's never a good thing when your vegetables look like they have the same digestive tract as a shrimp that hasn't been deveined. Excuse me, waiter. Is this lettuce or a flaccid jimmy? Garçon! I asked for a salad, not slices of Kermit. Hey dickhead, just out of curiosity, do I have to chew this or will it dissolve upon hitting my tongue? I love sweetgreen. I love making my own bowl and the pesto sauce is to die for. I usually get arugula and quinoa for the base then chickpeas, broccoli, cucumber, and bread crumbs. Sometimes the lines get a little long because people stand there and do nothing while the line piles up but otherwise the workers are friendly. Hellooooo year round beach bod! Add sweetgreen (and maybe some gym time) to your daily/weekly routine and you'll definitely see some benefit to your waistline. If you're not too creative or just don't wanna think, they have a wide variety of salad and grain bowls to choose from that will satisfy many a palate. And even with these you can customize. For instance my fave is a customized Rad Thai salad: no bean sprouts, add avocado and corn, take out shrimp (I don't love their shrimp quality personally but it's a salad chain not a seafood joint!!) and add falafel instead. Yum! Their kale Caesar is satisfying and I used to love their spicy Sabzi but my taste has changed. I wish they had softer and larger cut beets (like at Chopt - found in NYC and D.C.). Their grain bowls are heartier too if you're looking for more filling options! Lunch service is very very efficient and you can mobile order too. I'm a fan of their various lemonades and iced teas! Free wifi is nice. Service during off peak hours can use work truthfully. It can move pretty slowly but if you've got time the salads are worth it. Salad prices range from $9-15 depending on what you get. Street parking is limited on Red Sox game days but the place is T accessible from the D line (or Kenmore for a longer walk) or by bus! There's also usually parking on Beacon if you wanna get some steps in. The food here really never disappoints. As someone who really is not the biggest fan of salad, I thoroughly enjoy my meals here every time. The biggest downside was that the line on a Sunday at 1:30pm was SO long. We waited for at least 15 min to order. I got the harvest bowl, which really hit the spot for a late Sunday lunch. It has wild rice in it, so it takes a little away from the taste of kale. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the goat cheese (not usually a fan of goat cheese), but I can definitely agree that it enhances the salad, and I ate all of it. I'm one of those weirdos who loves and craves salads, and what better way - local fresh and ethically sourced ingredients, fast casual, eat there or to-go, order on the app... the list goes on. I arrived at Sweegreen half an hour before they opened on a rainy Sunday. The door was open and they let me come inside so I wouldn't have to wait in the rain. The place was clean and warm, the veggies very fresh looking. A man named Kamal asked if I was in a hurry -- he offered to make my salad for me, even though they technically were still not open. Next time though I will ask for heavy on dressing instead of medium because it felt very light and the dressings are amazing . Just had this for dinner . First time . Today was my first time here because I'm not a big salad eater. I got the harvest bowl and I have to say, it was delicious and surprisingly filling. I always associate kale with that shitty green rubbery looking thing often used as a garnish but what I ate was nothing like that. Tender and mild tasting, it was a wonderful base for the sweet potatoes, apple chunks, wild rice and chicken. I skipped the almonds and goat cheese knowing I was going to Blackbird for a donut. Hey, I will cut the calories here for empty ones elsewhere. The salad is prepared in front of you so you can customize it the way you want, including how you want the dressing (light, medium, heavy or on the side). The staff is very helpful and I think it's a shame they don't allow tipping. It takes a bit of time to get a salad together. I don't understand why there was only one person preparing the orders for a couple of people who came in and disregarding both mobile orders that should've been made already. I finally saw my bowl being made 10 minutes after the scheduled time it should've been made by and waited for it at the counter. Welcome to the neighborhood, Sweetgreen! My coworkers have been counting down the days since we saw construction wrapping up, and we were pumped to check it out during the pre-opening. I was a little flustered by the plethora of options, about half of which are vegetarian, but honestly I don't think you can go wrong here. My only gripes are that the avocado in my salad wasn't quite ripe, and the "medium" amount of dressing was enough to drench everything in the bowl. Next time I'll go with "light," and I pity those those request "heavy" -- but to each their own. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything on the menu is fairly healthy and very tasty. I really appreciate that some of the drink options are unsweetened. There's a bottle of simple syrup for sweetening purposes, which allows everyone to add just as much as they want (and see exactly how much sugar goes into a sweet drink!). read more
