    Caesar salad

Excellent restaurant, although slightly pricey. Im not a fan of pizza, but the dough and crust is exceptional in dc. The toppings for il bruco were refreshing. Caesar was wholesome. Out of the grazie restaurant series, this place and grazie kitchen are my favorites.

The place is super cute with indoor and outdoor seating. We had a reservation and were sat and served quickly. The wait staff was friendly. We loved the pizza the most (it was sweet) and the overall cost wasn't too expensive.

Me and my bestie came in around 1:15 pm we had no reservation and it was pretty packed. We were seated at the pizza bar (we got to watch them make pizzas) we really enjoyed sitting here but it was kind of inconvenient since they were running food next to us the service wasnt the best. Overall the restaurant is fairly small, but it's very classy. I love the open windows and they have a cool bar in the back. Me and my best friend split the bill and it came out to $24 each, which isn't bad. We definitely will come back. The pizza was absolutely amazing and so was the salmon.

Came in a few weeks ago to grab some pizza, I wish that they made it easier to order takeout. If you're looking for just pizza, it may just be easier to order from Gracie Grazie, which seems to have the same pizza offerings. We went on a crowded Sunday, asked to place an order to go. Were told we could sit at the bar while we wait, but there was only one seat available. We ordered the Drunken Love and Mistress pizzas. Also ordered the Vodka pasta to go. While we waited there was a bit of an issue with the host and another server, but the bar staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had the pleasure of working with Maryanne and she was amazing! She made us feel very comfortable and offered us drinks while we waited. If you like tequila based cocktails, the Milano sunrise is a smash! It's so refreshing and an elevated tequila sunrise. Pizza was crispy, flavorful, but we wish it was a bit less crispy and maybe a bit more saucy. Pasta was very saucy and the noodles were absolutely fresh. I'd love to give them another try and eat there in person. Was a little turned off by the ordering to go experience and wish that the protocol was a bit easier. That said, once we were set up to work with Maryann, she was exceptional and we had a great experience!

Grazie Nonna is one of the best places in the city. Come with an empty stomach because you will be bursting at the seams with great food and drinks. The ambiance at night is especially impeccable as well. Highly recommend! I would definitely qualify this as a DC staple restaurant for sure!

I have been wanting to try this spot and I am glad I came! I went out a Wednesday night and it was fully booked - glad I made a reservation! It's a cozy/nice place too. I ordered the espresso all'arancia drink which was fine, but I did like the orange and cardamon flavours. Drink came out fast. Had the Drunken Love pizza and it was definitely worth the hype! The pepperoni and vodka sauce makes it so tasty! The pizza was also bigger than I was expecting, so brought home a good amount as leftovers. Took a while to get the pizzas though. Also got dessert and I liked the budino - good butterscotch flavour that was light that complimented the crunchy and more saltier cookie! Also had the cannoli brownie which was fine, but a little denser and saltier than expected. Overall, a great stuff for classic Italian-American food and I'd come back! Maybe try another pizza next - the pizzas seem great here!

The inside of this restaurant is so beautiful and the staff was super friendly. I ordered the garlic bread and the alfredo pasta with chicken. I think the pricing of items here is a little expensive, for example, one piece of garlic bread for $9? And $15 extra because I added a protein to my pasta? All that being said, the food was delicious and I'd probably return for a special occasion.

Great food, warm service, and a cozy ambiance! I had a wonderful experience at Grazie Nonna. Our party of four was able to try a good mix of dishes -- I especially loved the Sunday Sauce pasta and the chicken parm, both packed with flavor and super comforting. We also ordered **The Mistress** pizza, which was delicious and definitely worth trying. The only downside is that the space can feel a bit crowded, even on a weekday evening, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. It's a smaller, very popular spot in a super convenient part of DC, so going at a slightly less busy time might make the experience even better. Overall, a really great meal and a place I'd happily come back to!

This is one of the better meals I've had in a while. There's no shortage of Italian restaurants in D.C., but this one stands out. We were already fans of Grazie Grazie and were excited to try this sit-down concept. We started with the Il Greco and Crispy Fingerlings, then moved on to the Alfredo and Sunday Sauce as entrees. The appetizers were a slight step above the entrees -- the potatoes in particular were excellent. Portions were larger than expected; we each had enough for a couple of meals. Sean took great care of our table. Dessert was very good as well (menu not available online). We're looking forward to returning to try their other menus, particularly happy hour.

This restaurant is perfect for a lovely night out. The dining room side has a smaller space with lovely lighting, and a DJ was playing during our visit here that really gave you that intimate dinner experience. The Drunken Love Pizza seems to be a fan favorite and it did not disappoint, and I absolutely adored the Caesar Salad here as they crumble the croutons and top it off with green onions. Perfect place for date night or catching up with friends and I can't wait to come back.

The food was great but the overall experience wasn't ideal. First of all, the place is UNBELIEVABLY LOUD. we were shouting to converse. That really turns me off from the idea of going back. Secondly, we had very spotty and slow service on our visit. The manager got involved at one point and she was great but we were definitely feeling some frustration at the slow service. Anyway it's too bad since I loved my pizza. It was delicious and good quality. My friends said steak and eggs and pasta with Sunday sauce were great too. Good deal on bottomless Bellinis for brunch.

We discovered this spot through a Yelp review and decided to stop in after a full day of sightseeing. Even though they were fully booked, the staff assured us they'd take care of us--and sure enough, a couple of seats opened up at the bar, setting the tone for a great evening. I started with an Old Fashioned, which was perfectly balanced, and we followed it up with salads. I ordered a simple dinner salad that was anything but ordinary--fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. My wife chose the Caesar, which can often be underwhelming, but this one was on another level--truly exceptional and a must-order. For entrées, I had the chicken parmesan with house-made pasta and a marinara sauce that was incredible--slightly peppery in a way that woke up the palate without overpowering it. Honestly, the only disappointment was that they wouldn't share the recipe. My wife ordered the meatballs, which were equally fantastic and featured that same standout sauce. We're so glad we decided to wait it out. From the hospitality to the food, everything exceeded expectations. An absolute gem and well worth the visit.

This spot kept popping up on my phone, so I finally decided to check it out. You can notice it while driving by, but it still feels a little tucked away. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area has heaters, which is a nice touch. Reservations are definitely recommended. The service was okay--nothing to rave about, but nothing terrible either. The menu is Italian-based, mostly pasta and pizza. Unfortunately for me, a lot of the dishes included some level of spice, and I prefer little to no spice in my food. I was disappointed to learn the restaurant couldn't make adjustments like removing or reducing spice, which really limited my options. I ordered the Orange Espresso (basically an espresso martini with orange liqueur). It was just okay. The calamari was also pretty average--nothing memorable. For my main dish, I went with the shrimp scampi, and this is where things really fell flat. It lacked flavor, and the dish desperately needed more scampi sauce. My friend ordered the chicken parm, and I tried a bite--it definitely needed salt. Overall, the experience was a bust. Nothing on the menu stood out, and the dishes I did try didn't deliver. I wanted to like this place, but sadly it just didn't hit the mark for me.

Chicken Parm was delicious and loved the atmosphere. It was a little loud inside, so would make a reservation to sit outside.

there is paid street parking nearby as well as several parking garages. I suggest reserving a nearby garage spot through spothero if you are going during peak dining hours.

No, every dish on their menu has something derived from an animal.

    Do they deliver?

    No we don’t :) yet!

What an...interesting experience…read more This bar sits on top of the Moxy Hotel, which is a sleek, modern spot in downtown DC. Unfortunately, getting to the rooftop was one of the most frustrating parts of the night. Access is only through the lobby, and the security team handling crowd control was completely disorganized. We were constantly being redirected with conflicting instructions: told to line up around the bar, then yelled at to move to the wall, then called to the elevator, then scolded for approaching it. It felt chaotic and unnecessarily hostile, like we were being managed instead of welcomed. To make things worse, IDs were checked multiple times (3-4 times per person) because there was no clear or centralized process. We were attending a birthday party that the venue itself had advertised on Instagram with ~75 guests expected at 9pm. When we arrived, we were told the rooftop was "closed" until 10. After waiting an hour in the lobby bar and dealing with the confusion above we finally got upstairs...only to find it already packed with people who had clearly been there for hours. The "reserved section" for our group was extremely underwhelming: a small space directly in front of a very loud DJ booth and a cold back corner where the heat lamps didn't work (and staff said there was nothing they could do). Service was just okay...no one was particularly friendly, but orders were eventually filled. The bar was oddly limited (only one beer option: Michelob Ultra), and some bartenders seemed unsure about basic drink requests (like a vodka soda with pineapple). The biggest issue came when we asked for the birthday cake we had given to staff earlier for storage. No one knew where it was. It took over 30 minutes and multiple staff members to locate it, and when we finally left for the night, the cake box was damaged beyond use with no remorse. Overall, this is much more of a crowded, club-style rooftop than a place for a planned event, dinner, or even conversation. The view is nice, but the experience didn't match the hype. If you go, expect a party vibe and minimal service and be prepared to navigate some very confusing (and inconsistent) security direction.

They gave us the two-hour heads up, which was totally fair. The outside seating area was closed off because of the weather, but honestly it didn't even rain. That didn't kill the vibe AT ALL though! We started with 4 orders of chips and guac and omg the guac had this perfect little spicy kick to it, chef's kiss! Everyone ordered something different and the carne asada was a total crowd favorite. My sister got the barbacoa tacos and was obsessed. We also got the elote with chips (didn't snap a pic but I'm STILL thinking about it). And there's this salad with strawberries and chicken that I was NOT expecting it to be that good. Now let's talk about the PALETA SHOTS - you HAVE to try these!! We kept ordering round after round. Also had some Espolón Blanco. For dessert we went all in with churros and tres leches cake and I have zero regrets. The DJ was killing it all night, playing r&b and taking requests! They even gave my cousin a birthday shoutout which made her whole night. The staff was on point, the energy was unmatched, and honestly I can't wait to come back. If you're looking for a fun spot with amazing food and good vibes, THIS IS IT! Highly recommend.

They have a large beer, wine, and liquor list (although not nearly as many English beers as I expected from a place called Crown & Crow). I won't deny that I wasn't a fan of either of the mixed cocktails I had, with both (including strangely a smoky drink) being too sweet. But the beer was expertly poured and the wine was a very generous serving. The prices are also more than reasonable, which is great for a DC bar. But what really elevates this place is the service. By late night, the place was jam packed. But each and every bartender was extremely friendly and they expertly worked the crowd, getting drinks served quickly (which too few places manage to do) and swiftly clearing off tables of dirty glasses. I also greatly appreciated the free goldfish that they happily dole out to the patrons. The staff made this a really good time.

The bartender in the main room was great, he was very friendly and once he started a tab for me he said I could use the other bar too, I guess he wasn't aware the bartender at that other bar already told me she wouldn't help me. Regardless, the drinks we had were decent. For small bites, they only had gold fish crackers, I wish they would have had more to nosh on while drinking. Overall, not a bad visit.
