Came here during H street fest because my friend boasts about their pizza. It a doughier base, think focaccia, which isn't bad but something to note if you like a thinner pizza. Indoor dining was suspended, I think because of the H street festival, so you could only order at the window. They had 6 tables outside and a bench for seating. I want to say the tables could sit at least 4-6. I ordered a pepperoni pizza - 3/10 - I'm not sure if they made a bunch of pizza beforehand and passed it out as people ordered but my pizza was cold and chewy. After hearing my friend rant and rave about this place I had high expectations and was a bit bummed out, especially considering it was a cheat day haha. I'd be willing to try it again just to see if it'll be better on a non festival day but I wouldn't make it a return destination.

It was a heavy pizza but enjoyed it with the rosemary and ricotta in it. I also ordered their Cosmopolitan that was quite tasty. A good spot for some good pizzas.
The Little Grand is about a 20 minute walk from Union Station, and the location and interior is kind of a vibe on a lightly rainy evening. We were able to get a booth without issues this past Wednesday and was in-and-out within an hour. They're known for their SMOTHERED ONION pizza, but unfortunately, I don't like onions that much. ROUND: PEPPERONI - 21 The pizza was topped generously with pepperoni and some fresh basil. Looks wise, it was a beautiful pizza with the perfect amount of char and ingredients were scattered randomly but evenly. The pizza dough is a sourdough base, which isn't my favorite, but I still enjoyed it. However, the pepperoni was super greasy, and after two slices, there was enough oil spilling on my hand and onto my arm. Overall, the pizza wasn't riveting, a lot more oil than there is flavor. Overall, this was a mediocre dining experience. If I were to come back, I'd definitely get a different pizza option.
It's some good pizza - atmosphere is cool and service is good but not stand out. It's about the pizza. I'm sad they're taking a break from the square pizzas so we didn't get to try. What we did get: - Smothered onion, added meatballs - 5/5 crowd favorite - Mushroom - 5/5 not a fan personally but loved by everyone else and is refreshing change from the red sauce pizzas (obv you need to like mushroom) - Veggie - 4/5 still great but just not as loved as the others!
The vibe in here is pretty cute. It is quaint so get there early to get a seat. They don't want to seat parties less than 4 at tables so they'll push you to the bar. The pizza is good but, in my opinion, not worth the hype. The drinks, however, were great! I loved the sangria. I also love that you can see the kitchen. Overall, just wasn't wowed. Would likely only go back if I happened to be nearby and really wanted some pizza.
The little grand is a pizza spot on H street. With so many food options in the area, I'm slowly making my way to trying as many as possible. I got the potato pie with pepperoni added on. Here are my thoughts. The crust is sourdough crust, I thought the crust was very good and cooked perfectly. A nice char but not too much. For the toppings, the cheese was tasty as well as the ricotta that was added on top. The pepperoni had a nice crunch from cooking in the oven. I personally didnt really like the potatoes on top. They boiled potatoes and then placed them on top of the pizza. I was expecting the potatoes to be crispy similar to the pepperoni. The oregano on top of the pizza was a nice touch since it added in extra flavor to the pizza. I don't think I would get the potato pie again, while I like the idea of unique toppings the texture of the potatoes threw off the flavors on the pizza. Other than that, it's a pretty good pizza. It does get a bit busy on the weekend but they also offer take out and delivery.

It looks like they have outdoor seating, but it was too cold for the winter. Their booths appeared to be reservations only, but it wasn't a long wait for a seat at the bar. I got the sangria, which was really good, and we split the evergreens salad as well as the smothered onion pizza with a meatballs add on. The salad tasted like a normal Caesar salad. Their pizza is sourdough based and it was delicious! They also have a 22% service gratuity automatically added, which I felt was a bit steep. Having said that, our bartender was really nice.
Tucked away in an alley off H St, The Little Grand is a cozy spot and a solid place for a dinner date or with friends. I ordered the 12 inch potato pizza, which was a solid meatless option, and enough to feed two people. I probably wish there was more spice but it was a good meal that filled me up. I ordered takeout this time, but the service was great.

Cozy pizza shop located off of an alley on H Street . There is some outdoor seating. Inside there is bar seating and a few tables. I wanted to sit at a table, but there is not much seating inside. If you want a table you are limited with the time you have available. I ordered a potato pizza which is a white pizza base and added some pepperoni. The pizza was pipping hot! The crust was perfectly crispy on the edges. The flavor of the potatoes were cooked through and added a nice texture to the pie. The rosemary was also a nice touch to the pizza. I believe they have specials on Monday and Wednesday. I really wanted to try the square pizza but that is only served on Wednesday for dine in only. I will be back to try some other pizza options. read more
I'd heard good things and so I had to check it out; I'm glad I did. Probably the one downside is parking, either street or garage, but you will pay. Staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. We ordered a potato, and a smothered onion (with pepperoni). While both were good, the potato was truly a star and one I would probably order on every visit. read more
The cutest little bar that I'm so happy I finally tried! We ordered the white pizza and I think it might be the best pizza I've had in DC..no joke. It's quite tiny (part of its charm) so expect a wait or make reservations in advance. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back! read more

Finally, a delicious pizza place in DC with a to-go option. The crust is perfect, the sauce is a bit sweet but tangy and the toppings are high quality. I've been disappointed in pizza options since I moved here until now. Just give it a try! read more

The little grand is amazing!!! It's cozy, small, and tucked away in an alley. The staff is kind and friendly, and were able to fit our group in as a walk in on a Saturday evening. The pizza is SO delicious, hot, and light. The mushroom pizza especially blew me away. read more

Beautiful interior, recommend coming on Monday for a half off happy hour and BOGO half off pizza too! The sausage and peppers pizza was great and I'm excited to try more of them in the future read more
Had pizza dine in here and loved it. Pizza amd service were great. Love that they have give you a choice of water or sparkling water when you are first seated. Dine in area is nice, charming and quaint. Definately will return. read more
Don't miss out on this cute alley pizza joint. Finding it is a little adventurous. It's on 7th and when you see the Industrious sign turn left. Inside is beautiful. Not what you'd expect. I'm a New York girlie so I like foldable thin crust. This was perfect. Crispy crust, flavorful red sauce and a nice cheesy top. Absolutely doesn't need toppings. Serve was really friendly and didn't mind that I sat outside. ( I'm tired of AC) Drop by! read more

Such a great hole in the wall, when we got there the hostess was super kind and he found a seat for us right away. The food was so delicious I have never had flavors like that but they came up with the most unique flavor palettes. I had a sangria that was delicious forgot to get a picture of it and they had home made sodas that were delicious as well. read more
My friend told me about this little gem. A cute hidden pizza spot on H street. A group of us had a reservation here but I was late, but the staff were warm and friendly. The pizza was delicious with fresh ingredients and the drinks were the perfect balance of potent and tasty. I will definitely be back. read more

Cool little hidden local spot. Found it on Yelp but couldn't locate it. Decided to park in the area and while walking back to the Main Street to see what else was in the area, asked a couple in their yard and they were able to direct us. They said the pizza was really good. It was b ery small but cool. Large comfortable outdoor area. Our 1st food spot so not sure or happy about a 22% Service Charge. read more

We were out running errands in the city and decided to turn the day into an impromptu date night. I was in the mood for pizza, so we searched for something nearby and stumbled across The Little Grand. What a find! It's a cozy spot, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you can. We waited about 30 minutes for bar seating, but didn't mind one bit--we were able to enjoy a round of cocktails and appetizers off to the side while we waited, which made the time fly. We started with the bar meatballs and the fresh ricotta. The meatballs were a 10/10--absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. The ricotta was fine, but I think I was hoping for burrata, so it fell a bit flat in comparison. I also ordered the pickled veggies and really enjoyed the variety of veggies they served--great for snacking and a nice contrast to the richness of the other dishes. The cocktails were just as impressive--balanced, flavorful, and well-made. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and devoured nearly the whole thing, leaving just three slices because we were stuffed. The crust was crisp, the toppings generous - very cheesy, and the overall flavor hit all the right notes. We'll definitely be back. The Little Grand is perfect for a casual date night or a fun outing with friends--great vibes, great food, and great drinks. read more

Been meaning to come pass here all summer and we finally made a stop. Little grand is small but cute and quaint. It has a nice size bar for the dining room to be on the smaller side but it's absolutely a cute vibe and not overcrowded in the least bit. The booths are comfy, all around nice decor and finishes. Idr what he had for his beer but I had the Aviation cocktail. It was a good 8/10. I thought it would've been more purple but it wasn't. I enjoy gin cocktails a lot so it was nice to try something new. Both of the pizza pies were delicious. Hot, gooey cheese, and very flavorful. The crust was just right, not dense or anything. We will definitely be returning! read more
We had been on the hunt for good pizza in our area since moving to DC and TLG has hit the mark! From the cocktails, to the salad and of course, the pizza, we've found a local gem. The space is very small and people literally line up at 5 PM, so be sure to go early or reserve a table ahead of time. They also have some outdoor seating if you don't mind just grabbing your food and dining al fresco. I 10/10 recommend the ever greens salad, it's like a ceasar and simply delicious. I also got smothered onion pizza with pepperoni and I think about it at least once a day, it's that good! And you can't go wrong with their cocktails. I'll definitely be a regular here. read more
We have been wanting to try Little Grand since their opening. When booking for reservations, they only take four or more, so we assumed it was going to be packed on a beautiful Saturday summer night. We were wrong - most folks were outside dining and most folks were at the bar. The restaurant interior and reno was beautiful. Def my kind of spot. We kept it simple and tried their cheese pie and meatballs. The cheese pie was delicious, flavorful, and reminded me an abridged version of a New York style pizza. The quality was impeccable. The meatball was a nice addition but don't think it was special- the sauce was fantastic though. Would come again to try diff pies and hopefully this place does happy hours or by the slice! read more

I must say - one of the best pizzas I've ever had! If you love a thin crust, and all the right portions on a pizza go here. We ordered to go, so I can't speak on the customer service. I will note - it was a little hard to find the location, due to it being tucked in an alleyway. Overall, you'll catch me eating here again! read more

If you've ever been to All Souls, you know the folks in charge can do no wrong, and as expected, they have set a new bar for spectacular pizza joints in DC. The place has a nice aura, packed away deep down a side alley in the Apollo building with a bright red neon light adding a nice glow throughout the space. It is small but incredibly beautiful, dim lit with lots of green and gold tones. They have a nice mix of tables, plush corner booths, and bar seats. Like All Souls, the under-bar area is covered in soft leather for added comfort for anyone with longer legs. You have to love that attentiom to detail. The menu has tons of great pizza options available in round or square sizes. The square is a little larger and thicker, while the round seems better if you are dining solo or don't have a big appetite. While we debated long and hard over what to order - it all looks so good - we opted for the classic pepperoni for our first visit. If you want to be more adventurous, they have one smothered onion option that looks amazing, and a really nice looking seasonal option for the fall. There are 8-10 listed, but you can also create your own adventure from a long list of tasty ingredients. Despite their expert level cocktail abilities, the menu has rather few cocktail options, but they do have some classics that pair perfectly with pizza. I had a martini, a gin variety with a twist. It was great. One of the best martinis in town. It is served super cold and very refreshing. They have plenty of beer options, and even an after-dinner section to add some serious Italian cred. A nice averna or cynar after the meal is a perfect digestif cherry on top. Bonus points for the sweet to go window. We can't wait to get back as soon as possible. read more
In an alley just off of H Street NE along 7th Street NE is a tiny, well-designed pizza bar. Park along H Street NE for a few dollars and walk up to the painted brick shop with two neon signs that read "The Little Grand" and "Pizza pick up." After picking up two pizzas and enjoying two cocktails while waiting, here's my experience: 1) Drinks: There are five cocktails on the menu ranging from $12 to $15. Since it was hot out, I ordered two rounds of the St. Germaine Spritz with cava, St. Germaine, soda and rocks with a twist. It was well mixed and very refreshing. They have sparkling, rose, white and red wine by the glass and bottle, after dinner drinks (vermouth, amari and brandies) a mocktails and Athletic Brewing Company non-alcoholic beer, Coca-Cola products, and still/sparkling water. 2) Food: Their main thing is pizza and they have seven different kinds from cheese to white pizza to seasonal supreme. They come in two sizes. Both are 12 inches, but the round one feeds 1-2 people and the square feeds 2-3. I ordered a square pepperoni for $30 and a square cheese with vegan sausage as an add-on for another $30. It took three people, three meals to finish both pizzas! They also have other food like salads, meatballs and bar food like nuts and olives. 3) Space: It's small, but beautiful. There's bar seating and several booths along the wall. The entire space is classy, but intimate and inviting. 4) Service: The owners are very kind and try to get to know every patron without being overbearing. After all, their menu reads "Hot Pizza. Cold Drinks. Warm People." They do all three well. 5) Neighborhood: It's just off H Street NE so slightly less busy, which is good. However, it's still close to many great spots like Solid State Books for books and beer, The Wydown for coffee and Copycat for more great cocktails. The Little Grand will become a neighborhood haunt. After just a few days open, they are on the way. read more
A winner in my book! The Little Grand is a cute, snug, well-furnished alleyway spot with a well-worn community charm that doesn't betray how new this place is. We got the vegan cheese pizza -- and, having had many vegan cheese pizzas (most bad), I can tell you that this one ranks pretty high up there. The pizza had a divey oilyness that fits the vibe of the place, yet still feels slightly higher-end. The tomato flavor could've been a little richer, but I really liked the crust. The service is excellent -- we had a 15 min wait and both the hostess and waitress were excellent communicators throughout the process. In the future: I would love to try their drink menu and their salads. I hope one day they'll consider letting you order by the slice, too. read more
Our new favorite neighborhood pizza place!! Worth the few minutes it took us to find the correct alleyway! We were able to snag seats at the bar after waiting a few minutes, during which we were able to order two great cocktails! The space is small, with limited seating, but so so worth the wait to have the cool, cozy vibe that The Little Grand has. We split a pizza and caesar salad for dinner and it was the perfect amount of food. The PIZZA!! Yeah, it really is that good. We loved it. We also loved the salad! We'll be back! read more
