It's a nice small location. It's fairly small inside but there's also outdoor seating outside. We came at night, all the lights were lit up so it looks so pretty. I got buffalo chicken wings - pretty good actually Got 4 slices of pizza: we like them all!! Korean chicken - too sweet for me but hubby like it Chicken Paneer Chicken Parmesan Chicken Bacon Ranch - my favorite! I was satisfied Best part is definitely the thin crispy crust. Service: can't say much because it's a pizza place and we only order and take our food. Onto the letter W on my alphabet series, representing prior to 2018, W is for Wiseguy Pizza. The first time I ever went to Wiseguy Pizza was in August 2014. That month I had started Uber driving, was in this area of DC, had heard good things about Wiseguy, and decided to eat here. Although I don't like paying to park just to simply eat a meal, I sometimes will make an exception for convenience and/or if it's a place I really want to go. But for the most part, I'll go to restaurant where they have free parking or at least I can find free parking near the restaurant. I remembered getting a parking spot very close and feel like I feed the meter like 50 cents in 2014 parking prices for a quick 30 minute meal. They have all kinds of varieties of slices from the standard toppings or just cheese to fancy ones. Although the pizza is fairly thin, but average for New York style pizza. I tried Andy's Pizza 11 years later in 2025, and while it was solid although not as good as Wiseguy, my real complaint with Andy's was that the pizza is very thin, where I was hungry very soon later; so a much worse value as pricing is comparable to Wiseguy. Wiseguy slices are big, and the pizza is top notch New York style. I went to this location a couple of more times after my initial August 2014 visit as I loved the pizza. Then, they opened up other locations. I went to Navy Yard one at least twice, once after a Nationals baseball game after a disappointing loss for my 4th favorite baseball team, Texas Rangers. Sorry Nats fans, but Nats are in my bottom 10 teams. I also went to Rosslyn & Pentagon City location, where parking isn't quite as bad. They even had a Wheaton Mall food court location, which I got to experience once, but they sadly closed. Every experience with Wiseguy has been positive. read more

Arrived at Wise Guys at 11 PM on a Saturday. A bit of a line, but they process orders quickly. We were able to grab seats, but some people were standing to eat. First thing I noticed were all the interesting pizza flavors from Nashville Hot Chicken to Vegetarian Paneer Tikka. Pizzas are premade so you can see what you're getting. I believe 14 were on display. Once you order, they throw the slices back into the oven so they are piping hot when you get them. We ordered a slice of Korean BBQ Chicken, Mushroom Truffle, and Margherita. Got them as two-slice and one-slice combos so they came with two drinks and two garlic knots. Thin slices, but with some structure (not a floppy slice). I liked the Korean BBQ Chicken the best, it has some sweetness to it. If that's not your thing, the other two were good as well. I thought the garlic knots were fine, but the pizza was a better use of my calories. We also got an order of baked wings. I was surprised they were able to get a decent crust on the wings, despite being baked. Maybe it is because they were on the edge of being burnt, but it worked out. I also liked the flavor we got - sweet chili. It also surprisingly worked with the ranch dipping sauce. Not many food options open super late. Wise Guys is really good place for a snack/meal at night or at any time. read more

This place is part of a small local chain of pizza joint. This restaurant has a decent sized patio area on the sidewalk out front and a very small dining area. The dining area is a bit disheveled with boxes and drinks stacked all over. The staff there was nice, but I will admit my interaction with them was limited. There is metered parking in front of the restaurant and within a reasonable walking distance. I placed my order online and was able to find a coupon that gave me a few dollars off my order. In addition to pizza, they have salads, stromboli, rollers and desserts. I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a slice of Il Capo, and a slice of Korean Chicken. My order was not ready when I got there, but I did noit have to wait to long. My pizza was good. It was not the best I have had but it was good. It is similar to New York style (but much less grease) and the slices were decent sized. If you are looking to put some pizza in your life, you should definitely consider checking this place out. read more

This pizza was amazing! We had the buffalo chicken one and a chicken Parmesan one as well and they were perfect. Crispy crust, delicious toppings, the sauce was great too! My daughter had a chocolate chip cookie which was really good too. Not too sweet, which I really didn't expect! The staff is fully bilingual, which was cool! And really friendly. The ambiance is chill, cozy. You can see the staff making the pizzas, which is cool too! And the bathroom was clean!!!! Great find haha we loved it and fully recommend it! read more

I've been coming for years but their pizza never disappoints. Took my kids on President's Day for a quick treat and it's clean, the staff is polite, if not overly personable, and the pies are always amazing. Absolutely loved my mushroom truffle and Korean chicken slices and we had so much leftover! The garlic knots are still amazing but the marinara leaves a bit to be desired. It used to be better seasoned and served warm. This time it tasted like cold tomatoes. Blech. Adding garlic and Parmesan helped but they should go back to the old sauce for sure. Overall it's ok Mass Ave and 4th so parking is what it is, the indoor seating is minimal but we always find it when we need it for which I'm grateful, and the outdoor seating is only good seasonally. Where we've been staying in the city I've been seeing everyone carrying a Wise Guy Pizza box. So naturally I had to go and check it out. I know DC has several places selling big slice pizza. Wise Guy is impressive for the different variations of pizzas. The little corner pizzeria shop is a great place to enjoy a slice (or two...or a whole pie) inside or out. My wife and I enjoyed the Korean, Chicken Paneer, and the Il Capo, with some garlic knots. Since we order a slice, the pizza tasted good being reheated. But I think next time I want to get a whole pie because the people walking out with the fresh pies looked amazing. Will definitely be enjoying here soon again. read more

Ratio of cheese to crust was good but I would have loved more mushroom slices to balance out the basil pieces. My friend's Nashville chicken featured fine chicken but wasn't spicy enough. The paneer slice was actually quite spicy (and legit per my Indian friends). The pepper flavors came through and paneer chunks with a good texture. I had the Chicken Parm pizza ($29) which was 18" big. The pizza was ok. The chicken tasted cheap and was more breading than chicken. The flavors were all a bit bland; adding crushed red pepper helped. I liked the crust (medium thickness) but my friend found it bland and cardboardy. I would visit again but I wouldn't get this pizza again. Service could be improved. I ordered for pick up at 5:45 PM and the pizza wasn't ready until 6 PM. Another person was also picking up a Chicken Parm pizza at the same time; I suspect they delayed my order to make it alongside the other order. Maybe this was more convenient for them, but it wasn't very good service for me. It's also a hassle to pick up pizzas because staff doesn't man the register all the time, so if all the staff are helping other people, there is no one to ask for your pizza, even if you see it sitting on a shelf. This Wiseguy location is barebones but has the basics. There are about 12 seats inside, a soda fountain, a bathroom. They provide napkin and shakers for parmesan and crushed red pepper. read more

They have so many different types of pizza and they all looked delicious. I stopped by there with a big group. I was traveling to dc for a conference and a bunch of us decided to go here during our lunch break since it was of walking distance from our venue. As you walk in, you fall in line. They got all the different pizzas displayed in front and you choose and tell them what you want and they'll grab your slice or what not and throw it into the pizza oven to get it hot again. The line moves fairly quick but it is a small place so try not to take too much time eating so that other patrons could eat as well. I got the backyard pizza which looked awesome.. it's funny because I'm a meat person and I ordered that pizza not realizing it was all veggies and beans and what not. When I got it I was kind of surprised but it was awesome. I did not expect any spice in it but it had peppers so do not be surprised by that. True New York style pizza in a very convenient location right off the Mall! It beats out every fast food truck out there guaranteed. Don't even waste your time. You can smell the fire oven cooking the pizzas outside of Wiseguys. It's a small place and should be more of a takeout joint than a dine in. Especially if you get a whole pie like we did. New York style crust and on the thinner side. Also ordered Square slices which had a thicker crust. All the varieties were tasty with specialty slices standing out. Chicken Paneer and Nashville Hot Chicken. They have Cauliflower Gluten free crust and a Vegan Supreme slice was available also. Service was friendly and fast. DO NOT ORDER FROM WISEGUYS. We ordered 8 pizzas and 2 salads for an office party, calling the day before to confirm they could handle the order (which they confirmed). The time came and went for the DoorDash driver to pick up the order. The restaurant stopped answering their phones. Our DoorDash order managed to force a response out of Wiseguys that they had accepted a 100 pizza order after us for the same time, and didn't plan to fill ours until they got around to it. It is 1pm, and the delivery should have arrived over an hour ago. Wiseguys won't answer their phones, hasn't contacted us, and hasn't refunded my $350 credit card charge. read more

Very small location. Near the judicial district. So small seats about 10 people and that would be squeezing them in. Don't come here to sit and eat you probably won't find a spot. I can say though the pizza is good. Very surprisingly a damn good pizza. So you choose your slice and they throw in the oven to heat it up. The price is great. I was getting disappointed on how expensive everything is here and then this place is the as back home. There are outside tables but it is winter here. Pizza has plenty of sauce and toppings. Is this identical to New York pizza? No. Is it still very good? I think so! I really like how many different options they have for premade pies with toppings, which is definitely a New York-style thing. My plain cheese slice was pretty good, and I appreciated seeing garlic knots on the menu. Service was relatively fast, though the place was mostly empty because I went after the lunch rush. I opted to sit outside on a nearby bench and do some people watching. I'd definitely recommend Wiseguy if you're looking for something convenient and light in a pinch in Navy Yard. read more
