The space is open and cafeteria-like, with huge semi-open kitchens behind the counter space. Air circulation was lacking: rough in a space with so much grease! Went to the Museum of the Bible which is .08 miles from this place! The food place inside was overwhelmed and required 15min wait to enter and even more time getting the food after. It is located on the other side of McDonald's. There isn't a huge sitting area so you'll either have to carry out or just wait for a seat to open up. It's not as good as a true New York pizza... but it is pretty delicious for what it is... VA/DC pizza. Just a simple pizza by the slice restaurant that will serve you hot oven heated pizza ! It's an amazing bonus if the cheese pizza is cooking in the oven and you're willing to wait for it to come right out of the oven! read more

The store doesn't look like much but the reviews were great so my bestie and I walked down from our hotel to snag some pizza and bread sticks. I love a good NY Style pizza and this one didn't disappoint!! So much cheesy goodness!! Definitely a good slice after a long day of exploring DC. The bread sticks were unassuming but still yummy, probably because they were just basically pizza crust. Went to get a quick lunch. We were greeted with an overflow of trash right by the door, counters filthy with little space to sit. We ordered and when paying the manager actually reached over the register & grabbed the Point of Sale BEFORE I was done paying and gave HIMSELF a tip!!!! He was fast. Definitely has done this before. When I asked for my receipt to see what he did, he immediately gave me my cash back, because he knew what he did!! So DISHONEST!!!! After a five-hour flight, we checked into a nearby hotel and walked the short distance here for a quick dinner. At the time, they had about six pizzas on display, which can be ordered by the slice, however, customers have the option to order whole pizzas and calzones as well. Pricing by slice is determined by whether you get plain cheese, pepperoni, or a "specialty." It would be helpful if they put a label next to each pizza with a description. Some of them are simple to identify, but actually seeing a list of the ingredients would just provide assurance that customers know exactly what they're ordering. We chose our slices, which the staff heated up before boxing, and selected a large salad from the cooler. Our total cost came out to be $46 for seven "specialty" slices and the salad. + SUPREME: I always go for combo pizzas, so this was essentially their version of one, with pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms and onion. Out of the three slices I tried, this was my favorite. + SAUSAGE: There wasn't much to this slice since it only included Italian sausage. Although the sausage crumbles were flavorful, I thought the slice as a whole was just okay. + CHICKEN PESTO: With cubes of lean chicken and a herby pesto drizzled over the top, this was a lighter option. I enjoyed the fresh pesto, but I felt like the slice needed another topping to round it out. The salad was fresh with crisp greens, onion, carrot, and cucumber. As a side note, the containers of salad don't contain dressing, so make sure to ask for it at the counter. If you're looking for something quick, this is not a bad option by any means. My daughter and I have been here before. It's convenient to where we park when we go to DC. The pizza is good. My daughter prefers the barbecue chicken, but they didn't have it last time. Regardless, the cheese pizza is really good. The location is just a cubbyhole though. We take the pizza and walk down the street to sit at a table outside of Federal building. And when I compared the estimate to the menu online it was aligned. However, upon picking the pizza up there was a slightly evaluated cost to each pizza (cheese online is $18.99 and they charged us $24.99 and a supreme online is $25.99 and they charged us $28.99). On top of the surprising inflated fees that were not agreed upon, there was a $12 packing fee. No more office pizza parties via My Own Pizza. The bill caused chaos within the office, sigh. read more

The crust was nice and thin, and the pepperoni and sausage, each of them tasted really good however in no universe for slices that small and not at all filling should the price have been $11.72. So one star deducted for price, the second half star deducted just for a space that didn't feel totally clean and the last half star for service, as it just was not a great experience. For the first time trying their pizza! Our large group of 54 Korean-American Clergy Association of NY visited the Museum of the Bible which was a great visit! We were all famished and our Gen. Sec. found this pizza place and we ordered 12 large pies to go but pressing for time to head back to NY. The generous owner gave his time, energy, heart, and d/c to make the 12 pies to go! The cheese and pepperoni pies were a hit and delicious!! Their dough was fresh, soft, a nice crunch, and had a right amount of chewiness!! I was shocked that this place doesn't have overall better reviews. Even the 3-star reviews say the pizza is good or great! I can't say anything about the space, I haven't gone inside, but several of our nights in DC my spouse has gone a few doors down from our hotel, and brought back food from this place for our family's dinner. I've been surprised each time at how fast he's back to our room with the food, they've been very quick. The pizza is absolutely phenomenal, literally some of the best if not the best that I have ever had. The calzone was also fantastic. Great pizza! This is just a block behind the Air and Space Museum and the perfect gem. Staff was great and bagged us plates and condiments, for our outdoor picnic. The sauce was sweat and the fresh dough so delicious my kids ate the crust. We got a 16" pizza to share. If you want to eat in, there are stools and counters to do so, but this is not really a sit-down family location it is set up for the on the go business workers. It is efficient with friendly staff, feed your family for a reasonable price with many options for fussy eaters. So worth leaving the museums options for delicious affordable food for our whole family. I hope my kids had a memorable experience in D.C., but only the pizza is coming up for them as their best memory, not one of the four locations we visited. You have to go in to this place expecting the right thing... which is not at all what the name has you believing. This is a by the slice place. You can get a whole pie - but by the slice places are a specific breed. Expect large slices, with extra cheese and just a bit of grease. To get orders up fast, the oven is set high, which gives a slight crunch to the pie, and also makes it better for eating while walking. Aside from Sals in Boston and a handful of NYC places - I haven't seen a by the slice place done this well. You can find better pizza in DC, but it will be more expensive... and not the same type. Operations were absolutely chaotic, but they did manage to get people in and out the door as quick as they could. My big suggestion would be to put up a menu board somewhere. read more

I unexpectedly ended up in this area over the weekend while looking for something quick to eat. I didn't want McDonald's so I stopped here. Customer service was nice. Gentleman behind the counter was kind. I ordered the supreme slice with sausage. It was nice and hot and cheesy. I enjoyed the pizza and would revisit if in the area again soon. There's street parking which I can imagine is hectic during prime hours. Thankfully I went around 9 pm on a Saturday so it was easy to find a spot. read more

Had the margherita slices and they were pretty good, maybe just a little heavier on cheese than I like, but I tend to like less cheese than most people.
