Nope!!!! This aint it. I expected so much more. I assumed the closer to NYC the better the pizza would be; wrong. I got a pep & sausage slice. It was burned. The sauce has absolutely no flavor, just tomatoy. The pep was placed after it was ran through the warmer. I asked for extra sauce just to get it down but I couldn't. I got it double sliced and barley ate the 1st section. I did come at 1:45am. So, maybe that's why but this was the worst slice I have ever eaten. I cant comment on service. I ordered to go.

Greek Salad with house Italian. Lots of toppings but they all went to the bottom after mixing.

Got into DC late and was looking for pizza delivery. Came across Pizzaro on door dash with I believe a $0.00 delivery fee. Ordered a medium pizza with mushroom, pepperoni and pineapple. The pizza was great! The crust was soft and chewy and all of the toppings were fresh, especially the mushrooms. The Greek salad was very good! In the photo you can't tell but there was a ton of feta and olives that settled to the bottom after mixing. Their house Italian dressing was very good, just wish I had more. They also gave us what looked like a freshly baked roll. Overall great food and great bang for your buck!!

The only reason I rate this as GOOD instead of GREAT is because no parking by restaurant so be prepared to walk a couple of blocks...and the interior of the restaurant is less than desirable. (messy, small and cramped) SOOOO take it to go or get it delivered. The jumbo pizza slice is bigger than your head. With it only being $5-6 it's a great deal. Not to mention it's made fresh to order. We got a jumbo cheese slice and jumbo sausage and pepperoni slice- perfectly sauced and seasoned...even the dough was tasty. They do serve other menu items there, like kabobs and whole pizzas.

Nice little shop for a late night pizza. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and we wings. Our wait wasn't long. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pizza was delicious. Good greasy takeout slice. The wings were oven roasted and tasted delicious. Some of the roofed didn't match up with the advertised price but overall it was good

Amazing Food and Service!! The owner is so nice, and the place is dog friendly! The texture of the bread is perfect and the Supreme Pizza wasn't salty at all! The Wings were SPECTACULAR, tender and flavorful. This is my boyfriends new favorite pizza place!!!

I ordered food for delivery to my office. The food arrived 20 minutes later than the 45-minute quote given in email. Slice.com fulfilled the order. I ordered these items: :::chicken kabob platter without grilled vegetables $13.99 :::cacik side (yoghurt dip) $5.99 The chicken kabob chunks were large, flavorful, and marinated well but less juicy than what I'm used to at other restaurants and took some jaw force to bite into. The bed of rice was really what struck my taste buds the most--hot, yellow, soft, tasty, flavored well, and not clumped together. Forget the chicken; give me a biodegradable container packed with this rice and more of this rice! The side salad was a mix of leafy green lettuces and a good portion. There was a tiny plastic container of tangy vinaigrette, which overpowered the salad. A small amount of cacik came with the main dish, so I had so much cacik! The cacik appetizer was overpriced but it did come with two huge fluffy pitas and a two-inch-high round container. I ate half of one pita and suddenly felt overstuffed with carbs. The cacik had a strange consistency--gritty, not evenly mixed, and mediocre in taste. The delivery person called me when he was downstairs and was friendly when he handed the food bag to me. I would order from this restaurant again and choose a different entree and appetizer.

We stopped by to get some pizza and wings and definitely enjoyed our meal! It didn't take too long for our food to be ready after ordering to go. The pizza was great and the wings were flavorful! Would go here again for sure.

This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... I would've expected it to be incorporated into the main dish. It was kind of bland and a bit lukewarm, so I don't know that I'd order that again... but I would definitely order this again!

I paid $5 for a side of zesty naan topped with different spices and really wish it came with the dish just came with it. While I was tempted to order the falafel, I couldn't justify shelling out another $5 for another upcharge and spend $10 on them for a total of $26 for just an entree - when these 2 upcharges should have been included in the entree by default. Warm, tender, and comforting, with the richness of the butter and sweetness of the jam making them hard to stop eating. The blue crab deviled eggs were another wonderful start, creamy and rich with the delicate sweetness of the crab and just the right amount of savory flavor. The rib eye was exceptional, beautifully cooked, incredibly tender, and full of that deep, beefy, slightly smoky flavor you want from a great steak. I also loved the grilled okra. The grilling gave it a wonderful char and smokiness while still keeping the freshness of the vegetable. The prawns were another standout, tender and succulent with a slightly sweet, briny flavor that paired beautifully with the rest of the meal. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, and every dish brought something different to the table. Between the beautiful al fresco dining, the incredible food, and Ellie's outstanding service, this was one of those dining experiences you remember long after the meal is over. The lamb was super tender and the combination of flavors were amazing. The tots were also seasoned well. It also came with a tasty creamy dipping sauce. I sampled a carafe of red wine, a cheese plate, the delicious (free) bread basket, the black bass grenobloise, and trout amandine. The carafe was perfectly fine; I'm not into wine enough to judge. The cheese plate ($6.5 per piece) was an okay size and came with some honey, jam, marcona almonds, and four slices of bread -- the bread was different from the white and cranberry-walnut in the main bread basket; this one was a smaller loaf, sliced thin, with some grains and apricot (?) in it. There are apparently 11 different cheeses to pick from, which the waiter had to recite to us. A small, printed cheese menu would be welcome here. We only heard about 5 of the cheeses before we decided to just pick some, because who wants to listen -- and remember -- the spiels about 11 different cheeses? The Black Bass Grenobloise ($34) had pomme puree, capers, and lemon. It was ok but I preferred the trout. The Trout Amandine ($36) had toasted almonds (lots), haricots verts, lemon brown butter. It was a classic rendition and it was great. Service was friendly, if a little slow.

We ordered it medium rare, which our server specifically said was also the chef's recommendation, but it arrived somewhere between medium and medium well. More surprisingly, it was one of the toughest steaks I have ever eaten. At $49, that is unacceptable. The mashed potatoes were equally disappointing: bland, not buttery, and nothing like the rich French pommes purée I expected. We also ordered the carrots, but they never arrived. At least we were not charged for them. The crème brûlée was good, but a good crème brûlée could not redeem the meal. The service was attentive and polished. That said, a couple missteps that should not have occurred took this review into the negative realm. Let's start with the positive. This appears to be a great new addition to the neighborhood, and I hope it is supported. The appetizers were delicious and nicely presented. The pistachio feta with grilled pita was tasty and interesting. The halloumi with orange marmalade was as well. The hostess was engaging and friendly. The atmosphere was calming with a touch of casual refinement. One of the entrees was delicious (the scallops and grits). I'd order all three items mentioned so far, again. The negative. The second entree was the short rib. It was tender and.... Wow, way too salty. A shame because it was otherwise well cooked and nicely plated. But whoa. When the hostess came by, my girlfriend kindly said it was a bit salty. I "refined" her answer and said she was being nice, but it was very salty. The hostess went to note this for the kitchen (a positive for her), and because we are on the first floor outside the kitchen window I heard the conversation. The chef responded that he knew what had happened. Earlier when preparing the short rib someone (in his words) blasted it with salt. What this tells me is that they knew they'd made something close to inedible but served it anyway. At the end of our meal we had leftovers of the two apps and the short rib. We asked for a bit of extra pita to take home and they provided. Then the bill arrived. Not only was there no adjustment for the inedible short rib, but they charged us $2 for the pita. The least they could have done was just given us the pita. Ah well. Those two missteps; 1) serving a known and improperly prepared entree, and 2) not doing something to make good when reported, have led to this sadly negative review for a place that could and should have gotten a positive one. Hopefully someone there will see this, and the experience and review will be a learning opportunity that will help them thrive.
