I love pizza. I love jumbo pizza but this wasn't it. I've had a lot of pizza in the Adams Morgan area and this didn't do Jumbo Pizza true justice. There is something off with the dough, I think the recipe is off. I thought maybe it wasn't cooked fully so when I had leftovers again and air fried it, the cheese was starting to burn but the pizza base was never right. This may be a one-off situation. It is halal which is great but next time I'll try to go elsewhere.

Pizza was meh but the lemon pepper wings.... So good. They're very big and juicy and perfectly crunchy. Def one of my top wings which is shocking.

The sauce and cheese are garbage. But the dough is good. Fine for drunk pizza. Bad for a sober meal.

There was no Parmesan cheese on the salad, and there were 2 croutons in the salad. Pass. Perhaps it would be good as compost. There was no tomato soup delivered. Instead, there was an extra tub of Mac n' cheese, which was tasteless. The hummus was good, but the wedges of pita bread were hard, possibly a week or two old. Disappointing, but it's okay to serve crap food to people restricted to the hotels in snow-bound DC.

These are the classic characteristics of traditional smoked chicken wings. The tenders on the other hand are good however not as crispy on the breading as I'd like. I believe they are trying to accomplish a soft breading which is OK however theirs is a different kind of soft breading resulting from the batter/flour and frying process. Borderline soggy. These tenders are very tender and would be exceptional if they'd change their flouring and frying technique. Overall a good chicken tenders that I'd purchase again when ordering chicken wings. I don't think I'd travel here exclusively for tenders. As far as sauces are concerned, I tried the Smokey Buffalo, Alabama White BBQ and Honey Mustard. Would like to have some traditional flavors available for the traditional palates. Overall a very good experience.

This is definitely a hole in the wall-type restaurant. The exterior isn't great, and honestly the inside isn't much either. There's no place to sit, you come to order your food and go- but the service and quality of the food more than make up for it. We ordered an XL order of soy garlic wings (20 pieces) and a M order of honey spicy (10 pieces) and it was more than enough for 6 people. The crunch and flavor were TOP. I heard great things about the honey lemon pepper wings only after we placed our order, but unfortunately we didn't get to order any. I also have to shout out the employee that took our order. He was so friendly to us and also threw in extra sauces and Oreos when he saw we were celebrating my bachelorette. That extra touch of customer service made our visit here memorable. I'll be back to try the honey lemon pepper soon! - Ambiance: 3/5 - Food: 5+/5 - Service: 5++/5

Don't take it from me...if you're on social media you'll see that food influencers have travelled from afar to rate these wings. And even they were in disbelief how amazing these wings were. The honey lemon pepper is not just a unique sounding flavor but the taste execution is something else. If you haven't tried KoChix don't walk...RUN! Service is always nice and they get orders ready fairly quickly for a fried wing joint. Ambiance isn't much to write about. Kind of your standard takeout place. We got the wings and stood outside and enjoyed them. The weather was nice. Bring plenty of paper towels and water to rinse your hands off.

Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. The fish sandwich was somewhat oily, and the coleslaw had a tangier flavor profile than I personally prefer. While the chicken had some enjoyable flavor, the seasoning and coating appeared to vary between pieces. The texture was also different from what I anticipated, as it was quite tender and fell apart easily, and the coating slid off giving it a texture that seemed more similar to roasted than traditionally fried chicken. The seafood basket also presented a few concerns. The shrimp seemed slightly overcooked, and the cod did not taste as fresh as I had hoped. In addition, the honey butter rolls did not seem to be at their freshest, as the texture was somewhat firm. Definitely frozen! I think it's safe to conclude that the rolls are store bought dinner rolls that are simply tossed in the oven for a few minutes and brushed with butter. I understand that experiences can vary, and it's possible that dine-in service differs from takeout. However, based on this particular order, and the price I would likely consider other options before ordering from this location again.

This restaurant is exclusively for the second version. I don't come here often because I respect myself. But when I do? Oh, it's a whole event. The smoked wings are everything, the ribs hold up every single time, the smoked chicken is to die for, and that potato salad has absolutely no business being that good. Bonus: one order feeds me for like three days. Three. Days. The portion sizes alone deserve a five-star review. This is my naughty place and I am at peace with that.

The wings were seasoned just right and honestly didn't need sauce. If you want one though, go with the cilantro ranch. The BBQ sauce wasn't sweet or smoky, I'm still trying to figure out what the flavor was. Also, I got 9 drums and 3 flats, which was a little off, I'd prefer a 6/6 split. Online you cannot do all flats or all drums The spicy greens are meat-free and I even called both to make sure. had good flavor, but they were more sweet and spicy to me not just spicy. Service / Timing: The cashier wasn't very welcoming. No hello, no thank you, nothing. That definitely stood out for these prices. Value: Pretty pricey for what I got. My total was $27.55 for 12 wings and greens. HIGH Highlight: WINGS. Wrap-Up: Despite the service and the price, the food was good. I will be back for the wings!

I hadn't been in over 10 years, but after another spot in the area completely frustrated us, we ended up at Stan's and instantly remembered why this place has survived for decades. Remember the old TV show Cheers? That's the vibe. Everybody seems to know everybody. You head down those steep, borderline life-threatening stairs into this underground pub and immediately walk into organized chaos in the best way possible. The place was packed. After-work crews, regulars, friend groups, people eating, drinking, laughing, and minding everybody else's business all at the same time. It was LOUD loud. The kind of loud where you have to lean in to hear your friends. At first, it looked like there was absolutely no chance we'd get a seat, but the staff stayed on it and worked hard to make it happen. It took a while because this isn't the type of place where people eat and leave. Folks settle in, order another round, and stay for hours. Speaking of rounds, the bartenders do not believe in weak drinks. The pours were generous and then some. Now let's discuss the real star of the show: THE CHICKEN WINGS. Every table seemed to have an order. Every person walking by seemed to have a basket. Everyone knows you come to Stan's for two things: strong drinks and those famous chicken wings. They absolutely lived up to the hype. After about a 45-minute wait, we finally scored seats at the bar. Unfortunately, we got summoned to another spot before we could fully settle in, but that's okay. Stan's, don't worry. We'll be back very soon. DC legend status: maintained.
