Cheap and quick pizza . Wouldn't return but if it were free I'd eat it ‍. Customer service was good.

Oddly incredible pizza. Price is insane! A HUGE slice for $3.50. Can't get anything like that in DC for the quality and price. Will return. I will say the menu is quite diverse and some of the stuff I would maybe pass on. The pizza and appetizers are a 10/10

I happened to be in the area, and I was looking for somewhere to eat lunch. Apparently, some of their food is halal, and that includes the sandwiches. I was in the mood for a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, so that's what I ordered. It was delicious and so tender as well as juicy. I definitely recommend this place for anyone in search of halal food or a good pizza to eat.

Very good pizza option. Matchbox is my standard. They are close to that level. I've gone for pickup twice now because of neighborhood convenience. I've got them saved and will definitely keep going. Same price ($19) for a large extra pepperoni as Matchbox. If they were side by side, I'd walk into the Matchbox. They were a little greasier, crust wasn't quite as crunchy, and the cheese was a bit more chewy (thick) for what I remember Matchbox being. The ingredients were really tasty. They are quick. Friendly service. Great for pickup. The inside atmosphere (from what I've seen) is really basic. This is probably more a takeout or delivery option. They have ok parking if you want to pop in to pick up. Penn is busy though. But wait! This is a positive review. I've been twice and had really good experiences. I'll continue to go on my way home. A solid neighborhood option. Oh, and they have Indian food options. It is a broader and more unique menu than just pizza. Give them a try. I know I'll be back.

Free dessert for my baby. So nice!

This might be the worst pizza I've ever had. With so much good pizza around now, this reminds me of the days when DC was a pizza desert.

With everyone walked in he ( the owner joe) would go into an explanation about the differnt styles, how they are made and the differnce of ingredients in the dough of each. It took about 5 mins, but it showed the love in what he creates. I went specifically for the deep dish. It did not disappoint. The cheese pulled was very impressive. The crust was deliscious. Tomato sauce on top. Hmmm hmmm hmmm!!! My friend had the Detroit style. The crust had like a parmesan crust and you could tell the difference between the Chicago and Detroit. I did not see the Nonna, but I did take home a small new York thin. It was good as well, but I will stick with the Chicago or Detroit when I go again.. I will be going again. The strawberry cheese cake..there are no words to describe. I did not talk at all while eating this whole meal. Back to the cheesecake. It comes in a cup, with fresh strawberry on top. Thick and creamy with a Graham cracker bottom crust. I was so waiting to try this restraunt and so glad I did. Worth the trip to DC from manassas. Definitely an experience and one I will be doing again and most definitely again.

That month I had started Uber driving, was in this area of DC, had heard good things about Wiseguy, and decided to eat here. Although I don't like paying to park just to simply eat a meal, I sometimes will make an exception for convenience and/or if it's a place I really want to go. But for the most part, I'll go to restaurant where they have free parking or at least I can find free parking near the restaurant. I remembered getting a parking spot very close and feel like I feed the meter like 50 cents in 2014 parking prices for a quick 30 minute meal. They have all kinds of varieties of slices from the standard toppings or just cheese to fancy ones. Although the pizza is fairly thin, but average for New York style pizza. I tried Andy's Pizza 11 years later in 2025, and while it was solid although not as good as Wiseguy, my real complaint with Andy's was that the pizza is very thin, where I was hungry very soon later; so a much worse value as pricing is comparable to Wiseguy. Wiseguy slices are big, and the pizza is top notch New York style. I went to this location a couple of more times after my initial August 2014 visit as I loved the pizza. Then, they opened up other locations. I went to Navy Yard one at least twice, once after a Nationals baseball game after a disappointing loss for my 4th favorite baseball team, Texas Rangers. Sorry Nats fans, but Nats are in my bottom 10 teams. I also went to Rosslyn & Pentagon City location, where parking isn't quite as bad. They even had a Wheaton Mall food court location, which I got to experience once, but they sadly closed. Every experience with Wiseguy has been positive.

I grab and use in their entirety both the orange-y hot sauce and the green sauce every time while adding hatch chiles to the simplistico burrito. I've shown several other people this place and they loved it as well. When it turns to side door they make some bomb Detroit style pizza. I truly haven't had a bad example of the style yet. I don't know if I'm selecting well or if it's maybe just low key the ultimate style of pizza but this is yet another fantastic example. It's just a small, quick takeout place for the most part, though there is some seating outside when the weather is appropriate. As such, service is generally to the point which is fine by me.

Street Parking Only & It's Definitely Hit Or Miss. I Got Lucky & Found A Spot, But It Is Metered So Be Prepared To Pay. This Spot Is Literally A "Side Door" Located On The Side Of Scarlet Oak. Super Unique Setup With Cool Lights That Make It Easy To Spot. It's Different From Your Typical Pizza Place, Which I Actually Liked. Since It Was Monday, They Had Half-Off Pizzas If You Dine In & I Had To Take Advantage Of That. CHEESE PIZZA I Ordered A Cheese Pizza & Lemon Water. This Is Detroit-Style Pizza, So Don't Expect New York Style. It's Thick, With A Generous Amount Of Mozzarella Cheese & Tomato Sauce. Honestly, It Almost Felt Like A Cheesy Bread Situation But In A Good Way. The Crust Was Buttery With A Slight Crisp On The Outside & Soft Inside, Which Was The Perfect Balance. The Ingredients Tasted Fresh, & It Was Very Filling. The Size I Got Came With 4 Slices, & Honestly, 2 Slices Was More Than Enough. I'd Definitely Come Back & Bring My Son This Feels Like A Spot He'd Love, Especially If He's Into Breadsticks & Cheesy Pizza. The Staff Was Decent, Though I Didn't Interact Much. The Overall Setup Is Interesting, A Full Restaurant Vibe Inside With This Separate Pizza Concept On The Side. Different, But It Works. I'm Glad I Finally Tried It, Unique Setup, Solid Detroit-Style Pizza, & A Great Deal If You Catch It On The Right Day. Just Have To Be In The Mood For Detroit-Style Pizza.

Premium toppings. Fresh, plentiful, great quality. We ordered both well done and received a nice crispy edge on the crust but with all the toppings it's damn near impossible to get a strong enough base to avoid bend. It's worth the compromise- trust me! Both were delicious but I'll skip the detroit crust next time, and there will be a next time. For me the detroit crust was a bit spongy and had a slight yeast taste. Not enough to ruin the experience but enough for me to choose a different crust next time. We also got the ranch for dipping - new experience. That too wasn't for me. The ranch is homemade and great texture and flavor just not what I expected. It had a heavy dill flavor...yep...dill. Again, tasty but, for me, this is more for veggies than pizza. All in all, looking forward to trying other pizzas. Check them out.
