Today's Pizza is a small takeout spot located in the Brookland neighborhood in NE DC. It's counter service. The food is made to order and took about 25 minutes to prepare. I went for the specialty pizza. I got an XL Trio with oxtail, jerk chick, and salmon & shrimp. The pizza was seasoned to perfection. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, although I prefer the sweet chili oxtail, this brown stew did not disappoint. The jerk chicken was spicy and had the right amount of kick to it. The salmon and shrimp also had a very nice flavor. Sometimes salmon can be dry. This was not too dry, but the shrimp had more flavor. Overall, all three blended well together, and it was worth the price. 5/5 Til we eat again...

My friend brought over an oxtail pizza pie for me to try. It's actually pretty good. Wish it were a bit spicier. Looking at this place's menu it looks like they have a lot of unique pie styles including a DC carry out one with French fries on it lol. I'll have to give that one a try another day. The pizza was pretty greasy, however there was a good amount of oxtail and I loved the crust. Definitely something to eat every once in a while and just glad it's right in my backyard.

Ahhhhhmazing!!! If you're in the Brookland area please support this business! I ordered on online and by the time I got to the location it was ready! The jerk pizza was seasoned well with onions and peppers. The onions and peppers were seasoned perfectly! The location is a carry out location. I couldn't wait to eat my pizza. As soon as I got to the car I opened up the box. I can't wait to try the other food options. I would highly recommend!

We need to do better! I went to Today's Pizza at Sycamore & Oak last Friday. At 4:59p, I placed an order for a slice of cheese pizza. ONE SLICE. I was initially told, "it's coming right up you can just wait here for it." After about 10 mins I took my seat. I went back up to them for my ONE slice about four times. The last time, I go up, the pizza was finally ready and she had the nerve to say she had BEEN calling order names. When I finally got the ONE SLICE, it was 5:54p. It tasted good, but never in life should it take an hour. Nope.

I recently went to today pizza to pick up a pie and I was a quick an easy transition. My wife loved the pizza. I don't remember if they had seating inside. Look forward to trying some of there other menu items.

Although the customer service was good, they get a good 2 from me. The crust was the best thing going. I got a medium pie, half jerk chicken and Oxtail. The jerk was too sweet for a pizza and the Oxtail was too much gravy and not enough meat but it was flavored. My out of town guest from NYC was surprised that it was not an eat-in establishment. We had to eat in the car. This was not worth $30 for a medium.

Small oxtail pizza 8.5/10. Oxtail was tender and tasty. The pizza was good. Went home and made some garlic butter for the pizza sent it to the moon. Amazing. Service was great was ready before the expected time. The place is small but it's very welcoming.

First let me say that pizza was HOT! I burnt my mouth cause I'm greedy. We got the 1/2 oxtail and 1/2 salmon and shrimp. They DID NOT skimp out on the oxtail or salmon. Wish the shrimp was cut up and sprinkled around the pizza more but it was still delicious. Definitely a must try! I also don't believe the area is sketchy like someone else said

As we entered the staff was super warm and welcoming. They took our order and answered all our questions with no push back. They were willing to offer suggestions and we appreciated it. This is not a sit down restaurant so be prepared to wait a little for your order. We ordered a number of diff small pizzas: jerk chicken, oxtail, bbq chicken, salmon, and curry shrimp. They were all amazing. If you are interested in diff flavors of pizza, I highly recommend trying Today's Pizza.

Found it interesting that the manager of the phone, name Chris also had quite a few questions as well being that Chris Whiting is who issued my vouchers lol Nonetheless after confirming we placed our orders and waiting at the bar in the middle to the establishment. I just opted for a water and unsweetened tea with lemon. From where we were sitting, there was another burger spot in the place that I remembered MUSH to be, & I also placed an order for some fries while we waited. There was a live band playing which some patrons were excited to see. Pretty lively on a Saturday evening. Clean...you have options. From pizza, to burgers, tacos, a seafood restaurant quite a variety. Anyhoo- our pizzas- I was pretty impressed. My veggie pizza was yummy! And the hubs enjoyed his meat lovers "beef" option. The toppings were fresh, the sauce was delicious. I could see us coming back for some yummy pizza! Happy Yelping!

So I was thrilled when one opened up in Hyattsville, not far from where I live. My partner and I have been there many times over the past few years and have always enjoyed it. But we were flabbergasted by our most recent experience. The food is as good as it ever was, but the value just isn't there. We were in on a Wednesday night and noticed a table sign for a special: two large pies and two appetizers for $60, so we ordered that. We each had one drink as well, and split a dessert. The bill came to over double that amount! We have paid less when eating in fine dining establishments. Why was our bill so high? Two main reasons: first because the upcharge for an additional topping is $4 each. I would expect that for fancy meat or cheese, but we only added red onion slices. Onions are one of the cheapest things in the supermarket, and $8 will buy a lot of onions. But I guess that's on us for not noticing that all additional toppings are the same (high!) price. Also, PP automatically adds a 20% charge in lieu of a tip. I have mixed feelings about that (and about the increases in tip culture in general). Our service was fine but not exceptional. Sadly, we will think hard before returning to PP. There are many other good pizza places out there.

Service was alright. When we walked in we were asked if we wanted a wine menu (we said no, thank you), were seated promptly, and were given our choice of water (we went for filtered tap) and were given a bottle for us to refill our glasses ourselves throughout the meal. After we got our food our server was gone for a while, and an unhoused individual came inside and started harassing customers - at first he asked for water, then after getting a glass kept asking for customers' wine.
