    Cacio e Pepe Pizza
    Samina M.

In need of a spot to yap with your girlfriends over spritzes and pizza? Then you're in luck - Lucy is an adorable spot for the summer with flavorful drinks and tasty bites. My best friend and I came here on a Saturday evening and were able to get a nice spot outside. We both ordered Aperol Spritzes and shared a deliciously cheesy Cacio e Pepe pizza. This pairing hit the spot! I loved how the pizza was wood-fired and that the various layers of toppings all worked well together. The cheese was pillowy soft and smooth - so unique! The service was speedy and accommodating. Definitely a great place to check out to enjoy the warm weather!

Yummy food! We kept it light with their three bruschettas, fresh burrata, and the richest beef meatballs I think I've ever had don't forget to check out their wine list, too

    Carbonara and vodka pastas

Wow! This pasta was to die for! I had been wanting to try Lucy Bar for forever, and I am so glad I finally stopped by! The vodka pasta was a particular stand out, but their happy hour margaritas were also great! What an amazing place to sit outside and people watch. The staff was really nice, but my only critique is that the food took a really long time to come out. They gave us free dessert to make up for it. Otherwise, highly recommend!

What an unexpected delight! After walking up 14th street looking for a place to get a pre-dinner cocktail outside, we were out of options when we stumbled upon Lucy Bar. With absolutely no expectations we ordered a Hugo Spritz and an espresso martini. I can very confidently say it's one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had! The restaurant itself was nice and low key and since it was on the fringe of the restaurant corridor we easily got a table outside and were able to enjoy the beautiful day. Service was great - overall this place is a gem.

Found this cute gem walking around the neighborhood on a Sunday. The decor is super cute and trendy with flashy lights, plants, and vintage paintings, not to mention their giant windows that open to the street and you can sit and people watch while eating. They had an apertivo menu going where we could try multiple plates and a cocktail for $27. You don't get to choose, so it's a bit of a surprise but everything is centered around Italian. While it was fun and the food was flavorful, there was a number of heavily fried and cheesy dishes, which was a bit overly heavy for me. I'd be down to try it again since it changes every week!

Stopped by for some late night drinks. They have a very nice selection of cocktails. My fave was the pursuit of passion but also really liked their basil cocktail as well. It's a bit on the pricier side but it's DC so that's no shock. It's definitely a cute spot to meet with a few friends.'

Small italian spot right off of 14th st. Good drinks and decent food. Waitress was very polite and did well to balance the busy crowd. Couldnt hurt to visit but wouldnt rush back here with all the italin spots that can be found across the city.

Cute atmosphere - gives European. Great outdoor seating. They have live jazz every once in a while too - great date spot.

Came for a pre dinner cocktail and didn't disappoint. Cute place with great decor. We sat outside on a warm and windy evening. I got the Hot Kiss (tequila style beverage) and my friend got a fernet and coke. Sidney our sever was fantastic. Def come check this place out :)

Great service and cute atmosphere. Vibe is chill and welcoming. Food was hit and miss. The salads were incredible and the lamb pasta was tasty. However the cacio e pepe is 100% not cacio e pepe. At best it's fettuccine Alfredo with some pepper. Not a lot of flavor. The veal tortellini were pretty good but super salty. The most disappointing thing was the cheese / margarita pizza. Soggy crust and the sauce was so bland. I would likely give them another chance and order differently :)

Not saying that dining companions are distracting, but I felt like I could fully experience the flavor of both the Taglioni Neri and Gnocchi, both half portions at $10 each, better on my own. When the dishes came, I saw that the sauces were both red and feared they would taste too similar. After one fork full of each, they are quite clearly distinct. The standout in the Neri were the shellfish for me. Even though they were small bits, the pieces tasted fresh. In the Gnocchi, the saltiness of the prosciutto, though not overwhelming, paired well with the basil sauce. I finished a little more than half of each plate before boxing it up for a small lunch the next day. The service was great and the tall ceiling and windowed dining room provided a nice atmosphere. It was a cloudy and rainy Memorial Day, but I wondered what the sunlight looked like shining through those high windows. How lovely a space they have created to enjoy fine Italian dining in.

A little pricy for the portions but honestly impressed with the variety of flavors and quality of the food. Service was ok, food came out a little slower than expected. However, when we walked in and saw only a couple of tables occupied, I had a feeling it might not live up to its appearance. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Food - 1/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant is modern, clean, and well maintained. The dining room is attractive and comfortable, and it feels much more upscale than your average Korean restaurant. Service - Service was adequate. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad. The staff took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us occasionally. What We Ordered - -Galbi - At over $40, this was by far the most disappointing dish of the meal. I've had galbi at countless Korean restaurants, many of which charge under $30 while delivering significantly better flavor and quality. The seasoning was noticeably different from what I'm accustomed to, and not in a good way. For the price, it felt extremely underwhelming. -Pa Jeon - Just okay. It was a standard Korean pancake that didn't stand out in any particular way. -Tofu Stew - We ordered it mild, but it was surprisingly spicy and excessively salty. The saltiness overwhelmed most of the other flavors in the dish. -Korean Fried Chicken - Unfortunately, this suffered from the same issue. The chicken itself was decent, but it was far too salty, making it difficult to enjoy. Final Thoughts - The biggest issue for me was the value. Nearly every dish felt overpriced for the quality being served, and the excessive saltiness across multiple items made the meal even more disappointing. While the restaurant looks great and has a modern atmosphere, the food simply did not justify the prices. Considering how many excellent Korean restaurants I've been to over the years, this was one of the more disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.
