I've gone here for brunch and dinner and have enjoyed myself both times! This is your typical Italian place, it's easy to get a reservation and the servers are accommodating of needs. It can get a little loud inside but it's fun!

Food is average and the ambiance is simple. They have a bar and plenty of seating. The food was not the best Italian in town. I did get a cake for my birthday and it was great. Service is a bit slow but he was very professional and helpful.

Cute spot. Came here after an improv show. Ordered a few items, which were all pretty good. We ordered the bread, and high was definitely dry... and didn't come with any sauce so we had to ask for marinara. Marinara should automatically come with the bread tbh. We also ordered the meatballs and they were okay. They reminded me of chef boyardi canned meatballs, small and not too flavorful. The fries were good and the fried corn balls were good. Overall, it was pretty decent. The food we ordered was okay but nothing too special. The service was okay. We came toward closing time, so I feel like the staff were in the middle of cleaning. There was ample seating both at the bar and in the restaurant. Looked like it gets busy!

Visited for the first time, due to being in the area for an event. Stopped by during happy hour, which is honored at the bar and outside. Ordered the Caesar salad, sliders, fries and pizza to split with a friend. Everything was delicious, along with the drinks. We had their versions of a mule and a spicy mezcal margarita. The service was fast and attentive. I was surprised the establishment was so empty. I will definitely return.

Delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere. We were in a group of about 15 people and we were served pretty reasonably. It took a little long to place the order, but it came quick. They do a great job for brunch with unlimited mimosa service and delicious sweet breads. But obviously at an Italian restaurant I also had to order pasta. The Bolognese lunch portion was delicious. They did charge for the fortune which I didn't notice until after we left. I will definitely be returning.

I decided to revisit this restaurant after a bad experience from a year prior. The AC was out, which was a hindrance, but the Restaurant did the best to work with our large group. Overall, I would say my opinion of the food improved significantly. I ordered one of the brunch, entrées, specifically the egg white omelette. It was absolutely delicious, I ate every bite and completely enjoyed it. What was missing, though was the service aspect. Our server was mostly absent despite our large table size and the restaurant being mostly empty. At first, we were somewhat joking about not seeing them often, but after waiting about 20 or so minutes to order, someone actually had to get up from the table to ask if we could order...and even that after that, we didn't see our server for another 15 or so minutes. This was a trend that continued...empty glasses sat empty until we could get someone's attention--we were sat in the very back so it felt like while we weren't directly being ignored, we were in a sense being ignored. So, despite thinking the food was great, service again was just an absolute huge miss for me. For how empty the restaurant, it's a little baffling why we didn't receive better service.

Stopped by Sette Osteria for brunch with friends during Howard Homecoming weekend. Forgot to take photos of the food I had such a great time. We sat inside as our group was on the larger end with 8 people. Restaurant decor was modern with lots of windows to bring in natural light during the day. Our water Oz was friendly and attentive. Handled every request we threw his way and then some. My friends tend to be demanding especially when food is involved . We opted for bottomless drinks at $20 pp I think it may be the cheapest in the city! You can choose unlimited mimosas or Bellinis. Apps we selected were arancini, and a couple of Cesar salads. Entrees were spicy rigatoni and crab cake sandwich. The pasta was great but the crab cake sandwich really surprised me. Not only full of crab meat but amazing flavor. My friends ordered an assortment of other pastas I don't recall but everyone enjoyed the food.

Authentic Italian Cuisine found in Washington, DC here at Sette Osteria! A cozy atmosphere to enjoy your meal consisting of fantastic entrees and cocktails!

My experience was amazing. From the time we walked in the door everyone showed great customer service. I hosted a friendsgiving there and had a box of gifts. They put them in a safe place until I needed them. The server was on point .... we never had to look for her. The manager was great. He had such great energy and came to check on us throughout the evening. He was a 10/10. Lastly the food was great!!!! I found my new spot.

We visited Sette Osteria on a Friday to enjoy Italian night with some good food and drinks! This was the only place that was accepting large parties and hence we picked up Sette Osteria. We started off with some complimentary freshly baked bread and ordered a Rigatoni, veggie pizza and a side of sautéed mushrooms. My friend also ordered a seafood platter, that included salmon, and shrimp and calamari. My friends also ordered a Pinot and red wine which they said complimented well with the food. Everything tasted good, the Rigatoni was creamy and had a tint of spiciness which I enjoyed! Overall, a decent place if you're looking for good food and drinks. P.S. We did not know that there are two locations for Sette Osteria, so make sure to confirm which one you're booking as we messed up a bit with our planning! :)

This restaurant…read morewas recommended to me by a colleague so I decided to make the walk from where I am currently staying. Let me start by saying that the atmosphere in this restaurant is one that is so welcoming the minute you arrive. I approached the hostess stand to inquire if there was bar seating available to which the polite hostesses provided a gentle hand gesture and oral direction to the bar. While walking to the bar area, I encountered what I presume to have been a server who was likely standing watch from a distance over his service area, who apologized as our paths met. (There was no reason to apologize, very polite nonetheless) I found a seat at the bar and was greeted by Paul. Paul was an exceptionally pleasant and answered all my immediate questions while preparing my initial cocktail during happy hour. We discussed the menu and he provided great insight which helped finalize my decision for the evening . In the meantime, bar manager Laura stopped by to ensure that I was taken care of to which I informed her that Paul and I spoke and he is making a beverage for me. For the food...the Caesar Salad is #1. I am a food snob and this salad HITS!! While enjoying my salad I inquired about their cast bourbon selection. The staff was very knowledgeable and provided a price list to coincide with their higher end selections. My 40 layer lasagna arrived some time in the midst of the conversation where Paul extended a courtesy sampling of a wine that he recommended that pairs nicely with my meal. It was perfect. I closed out my meal with an espresso type martini, at which time Paul and Laura further extended and offered me a sampling of one of the bourbons I was looking at. I cannot say enough about this establishment. I can't wait to go back and have already recommended via phone conversations to three people and I just left. The evening and encounter was more than just pleasantries with a customer, rather I felt as if I was the only one. If the owner or manager is reading this, Paul and Laura are 10+ and I will be back. Thank you so much for the best meal I have had in DC over the last 2 weeks. Can't wait to do it again!!!

Found it to be a bit louder than I would've liked but I think it was because of the spacing between tables. Came toward the end of the night and got seated and welcomed right away. I ordered the polpette, meatballs to start. They were quite tasty, but the sauce was a bit watery. Think that's just because the meatballs themselves were pretty juicy. Heard the focaccia was a hit, so asked for some of that. I was told they didn't have any left. Which was weird, because then another server came and asked if I wanted bread. I'm glad I said yes because the focaccia is very fresh and was a great addition to the meal. For my main, I ordered the vodka pasta, which was very flavorful and very saucy. I love a good, thick vodka sauce and that's what you'll get here. The one part of the pasta I didn't really enjoy was the chicken inside the pasta. I think I would've preferred a grilled chicken option instead of the chicken that comes in the pasta. That being said, this place is a gem. The prices are great and the portions are hearty. The pasta is thick, you're really coming here for fresh noodles and ingredients. If you want to top your meal off just right, you'll get the chocolate lava cake. Very delicious! Service was good and staff was very attentive!

When the dishes came, I saw that the sauces were both red and feared they would taste too similar. After one fork full of each, they are quite clearly distinct. The standout in the Neri were the shellfish for me. Even though they were small bits, the pieces tasted fresh. In the Gnocchi, the saltiness of the prosciutto, though not overwhelming, paired well with the basil sauce. I finished a little more than half of each plate before boxing it up for a small lunch the next day. The service was great and the tall ceiling and windowed dining room provided a nice atmosphere.
