My family has been frequenting this Glory Days ever since it opened 5 or so years ago and go once every week or two. It is much nicer than the other Herndon/Restaurant j location in Fox Mill. They have had a few occasional hiccups but they have always been rectified by our waiter or manager and 95% of the time the service and food is good and consistent. Food always comes out quick and is hot and staff is friendly. I reccomend going on Monday nights for discounted burgers. read more

Big fans of Glory Days in general and since they started more than 20 years ago. Tried the new "24K Gold" wings. Turns out the wings are not actually made of 24K Gold - should probably have been tipped off by the $19.99 price for 18 of them. I'm also a "wing-snob" from eating these 30+ years ago while in college in Buffalo....so don't take kindly to "out-of-towners messing with wings. If you like honey mustard mixed with traditional Buffalo wing sauce, I guess you'll like these. A little weird tasting at first bite, but the larger issue was they were just too sweet. I'm usually good for at least 10-15 wings in a sitting. Stopped after 8 of these. Wife ate about 6, but also stopped due to the sweetness. No one should risk a sugar coma from eating wings. If you want another true and very hard to find Buffalo specialty, go for the Beef-on-Weck. Only Glory Days and Jimmy's Old Towne seem to understand the natural beauty of this sandwich. I ate at North Point Friday night after I finished working. I don't typically write reviews or report on service and food, but I felt that it was warranted this time. I have eaten at all most all of the Glory Days, and I must say that my experience at North Point was outstanding. I sat down at the bar and was promptly greeted by the bartender. She asked my name and shook my hand in order to greet me. She then proceeded to introduce herself as well as the other two bartenders, a nice touch I feel since all three would be checking in with me throughout my dinner. And they all did. My glass was never empty because they knew just when to ask if I needed a refill. I was checked on just the right amount of times. Not too often to be annoying, but enough that I was never wanting for anything. Just perfect. Calvin (I apologize if I got his name wrong as I am horrible with names) took my food order. He was knowledgable about the food and offered great suggestions. I first had a half order of nachos followed by the spicy garlic wings. The nachos were hot and delicious. The toppings were evenly spread so that the nachos never got soggy and every chip had toppings, not an easy thing to do. The wings were crispy and cooked to perfection. The sauce was spicy but not so spicy that you could not comfortably eat them. In short the food was fantastic. I am a bit of a "foodie" and I must say that the food was exceptional. I wish I lived closer to eat there more often. Calvin stopped by several times throughout my meal to empty my bone plate and give me a clean one. A very nice touch and just goes to show the attention to detail that he has. And most importantly, every time that he walked away, all the other bar guests were commenting on how good Calvin was and how great the food was. I was at the end of the bar closest to the front door so I could see the guests sitting at the bar across from me. The topic of conversation was our favorite Glory Days food choices and how fantastic the food and service was at this particular location. One guy even said that he had been there at least 4 days a week since opening because he enjoyed the wings so much. Like I said, I never really take the time to write reviews like this, but I felt that this exceptional food and service warranted the effort. Times like this, I wish Yelp allowed us to give half star-ratings... This place gets a solid 3 stars from me, & 2 from my better half. So, 2.5 stars it is. We decided to check out this place since my guy works nearby. He'd heard from a few folks who come into his office that the Glory Days franchise of restaurants was opening this new location at the edge of a strip mall in Reston. I was pretty famished from not having eaten breakfast or lunch & stopping by here around 4pm on a Sunday seemed like a good idea, so we did it. Upon entry, we were greeted with loads of smiling and helpful employees...everyone seemed really kind & I have 0 complaints about the service. It was excellent. The food, however? Not so much. Personally, I though everything I had was decent - my guy says it was because I was starving... ;) We started with the nachos from the appetizer menu & they were just "meh." Didn't feel crazy fresh...just liked they'd been quickly assembled in the back (and they came out super fast after we ordered them so, that confirmed my suspicious). Also, there wasn't any fresh cheese used in the nachos, if that tells you anything. They are worth trying once, I think. And, just know that the half portion of the nachos are what full portions would be at most all restaurants. I shudder to think of what the size of the full portion would've been. For an entree, I got the cheddar ale soup that came with a pretzel on the side. And, I would totally get this again. It's a seasonal March special & the pretzel tasted really fresh and nice (I wish it were bigger, but it was the appropriate size for the cup of soup). I also ordered a half-portion of the BBQ chicken salad, but got the chicken on the side for the carnivore sitting across from me. ;) So, I can't give a good review on that dish because I literally just had a lot of lettuce tossed with a small amount of tomatoes and tortilla strips, chives, and shredded cheese. Nothing exciting. My husband had the Shephard's Pie (which is on their March special seasonal menu), & thought it was just alright...he said it was nothing particularly delicious, but not terribly bad either. We both agreed that the lava raspberry chocolate cake (with ice cream on top) was the only thing - if anything - that we liked from the whole meal. In the end, the ambiance, spacious booths, multiple TV screens, and vast amount of adult beverages available would be the things that would draw me back. So, I'd consider coming back & giving the food a second shot - even if my husband says it's not worth it. All in all, a very average experience in the 'burbs. Sigh. Guess life out here will mean exploring eateries that are non-franchise...in hopes of finding a place that's really tasty above anything else. read more

My husband and I went here for dinner last night and watch the superbowl. The place was packed but they did an absolutely awesome job in waiting on us and service. Calvin the bartender and our server was great. The food was good. I had a burger and fries. My burger was cooked perfectly My husband had Caesar salad, very fresh crispy and just enough dressing. I am a regular for the Monday Burger special. Great burger, choice of side and an ice tea for less than $10.00. Fantastic. We always get great service and the burgers are cooked to order! The manager knows us and stops by to check on everything. The wait staff comes back unasked with drink refills. I come other days and other times. In the evening with neighbors for some beers while we watch a game. Apps at the bar are great. A quick dinner when we don't feel like cooking. I always enjoy this place. They even opened for breakfast when the NFL had the game in London! Catering! Please don't stop at the GDG website catering menu. Hicham can deliver so much more and he does it quite well. My husband had a company dinner party catered by Glory Days Grill of North Point Village Center last December. The meal and the service were excellent. A lovely carving station for roast beef (with a jus) plus chicken and side dishes made for a truly special evening. Before dinner, servers passed hot hors d'oeuvres of special shrimps and crab cakes - really delicious!! Top to bottom this joint is well organized and service is on point each time I visit. Get there early for happy hour on Thurs, or it's standing room only. I really like this place. Here's why: * the food (at least the food I've had) is excellent. My favorite is the Cedar Plank salmon, salmon cooked on a small plank of cedar wood to give it a nice smoky flavor. This is my neighborhood go-to lunch and dinner place. The service is great, a couple of servers recognize me and my friends and have even learned our standard drink and menu preferences. The food is good and they are willing to handle my pickiness about "no onions" etc. It is good quality sports bar food and a fun atmosphere especially during big games. The prices are reasonable, the daily specials - especially burger Monday and pizza Thursday are my favorites, and I love the monthly seasonal menu. My friend is gluten free and has choices here that she uses. The managers are friendly, visible, and are on top of everything. This restaurant is appropriate for families. It is great addition to our neighborhood choices. The only thing I don't like is sometimes there are a few people all smoking out front and I hate walking through that fog to get in and out of the restaurant. Otherwise, I highly recommend it! This place is always busy. Two reasons: it has something for everyone and not much else around for sports bar/ restaurant unless you go to the town center. Great place for a quick cheap family dinner or a place to watch the game with some buddies after work. The entire staff is very friendly and they always have tons of employees working. This location is certainly better than sterling or Fairfax locations for sure. By better, I mean it's cleanliness and newer. Everything's new in Reston location, service can be slow time to time and there are little things that I can point out which can be improved but still minor issues. I like their seasonal menu and beer selections for sure. Best thing they have is though their philly steak and cheese. Surprising their burgers aren't as delicious as it look or sound on the menu. Same goes for wings. I'd prefer buffalo wing factory and o Sullivan's for wings. They do have daily happy hour specials but ends early like 6 so I can never make it to try it out. Drink: The beer was fine but the Long Island Iced Tea was all Coke and sickeningly sweet with too much sweet and sour (which when ordered was requested to be very, very light on sweet and sour). I love Glory Days and especially this one. The manager, Hicham Younes, and his staff will always make you feel welcome from your greeting to your services. It's not just the average sports pub and food, there are many sensible options for those seeking lighter fare with their variety of salad options and grilled items too. They also carry a very large selection of ever changing local and micro brews. This Glory Days is also a great option for us work from home folks as they offer free Wi-Fi and seating with electrical outlets, just ask your host as you are seated and they will accommodate you. I find it a great place to get out of the house for a late lunch / early dinner for quiet, good food, service and ability to get a little work done with a change of scenery. On Football Sundays, they are very accommodating to take care of the whole neighborhood and fans. Great place to watch a variety of sporting events with your friends and neighbors. I love the burgers, steaks and salads......and the occasional :-) Oreo Slider with hot fudge! It is truly a neighborhood establishment and a real sense of community. I recently visited this location in Reston VA for the first time, and I was absolutely blown away. We were immediately greated by the manager and sat at a table in the bar (per our request). Our server came immediately, gave us the drink menu and let us have a few minutes to order. He didn't leave us hanging for too long, nor did we feel rushed. That was the theme for the whole night. Perfect timing throughout our service. He brought us our beers and let's us look over the menu. We ordered the new Asian lettuce wraps and the boneless wings with the honey old bay and buffalo sauce for our appetizers. These were great! The Asian lettuce wraps are a must try. Some of the best I've ever had for a sports bar and the wings were amazing too. The wings were nice and crispy, juicy, and very flavorful with their house made sauces. Since it was just my girlfriend and I, we ended up just ordering dessert after. We shared the molten lava cake and it hit the sweet tooth craving. Warm and moist Chocolate Cake with a vanilla bean ice cream and hot fudge and raspberry sauce. A perfect way to end our meal. So the food and service gets a 10/10. The atmosphere is great! I used to go to the Sterling location quite often and this location is by far way better. It's not dark and dingy and isn't cluttered with excessive amounts of sports memorabilia. It still has the sports decorations in a more organized and classy manner. They have patio seating and plenty of flat screen TVs all over the place, making it nearly impossible to miss any of the action. To summarize, I usually don't write this long of a review but I was absolutely blown away with everything. 10s across the board for the food quality, customer service, and atmosphere. Fun place. Their prime burgers are so good! (Although I wish instead of a pickle wedge they would offer sliced pickles to go inside the burger, not on the side). The Chef and caesar salads are good. Having gone to this establishment many times and having them mess up my order I decided to go back and try again. Their wings are awesome and my kids love them. However, once again they got it wrong on so many fronts. I walked up to the counter and watched 3 staffers interact, stand around and move around the counter. Nobody greeted me or offered to help me- or even acknowledged I was there. I could see my order sitting there. I simply asked if it was ok if I picked up my order. One of them reluctantly came over and asked if I wanted them to open the boxes to confirm the order. I said no, gave them cash and a nice tip. Came home and found the order was once again wrong. We go to Glory Days about once a week. The food is consistently good and there is a wide variety on the menu. The staff is wonderful! If you need a spot for a large group this is the place. We brought my daughters soccer team in last weekend for a end of season party. We ended up with 50 people total. They couldn't have been more accommodating. read more

I've only recently discovered this gem. It's a winner all the way around. The atmosphere is great, a TV or not for anyone. The service has been top notch and the employees and servers are personable and friendly, and I never feel rushed to leave. The food is terrific. In my humble opinion the BEST FISH TACOS in Northern Virginia. So good, they make me feel like I'm back in San Diego. Wings are delicious too. I got the Hellfire burger and it was absolutely delicious, as was the side of veggies. I also got the lava cake (without raspberry sauce) which was heavenly as always. The atmosphere in the place is enjoyable, although all the TVs and distractions probably don't make it the best date spot. My only question, though: Why is every single waiter weird/awkward? I think a good restaurant should have charismatic and polite servers. I understand getting the 'jock' type since it's a sports bar, but I think this location could hire much better people for the front line. read more
