The food and customer service was absolutely great! I came here to visit family and was my second time in this place. We sat outside in a warm day in May and "Gabe" was taking care of our table . He's great and welcoming . He gave us lots of good recommendations for drinks and food . Very nice and charming person with great customer service. He checked on us regularly to make sure everything is taken care of. Food and pomegranate martini were amazing and tasty!

It's not our first time in here ( we are coming back for a couple of years now), and I actually was sure that o reviewed it before Today we came back there to celebrate our daughter's birthday ( as she really likes their food ) For the kids menu choice they have 3 garnishes of your choice. So, let's get to the good and not so good points , as for me It's a modern steakhouse with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Service is usually quite fast. There are all the time famous on the menu and the specials which are changing. Not bad cocktails, the wine list includes some pretty good italian wines. The only problem I have ( not always, but several times) is the steak doneness Underdone can be easily fixed, but overdone -is ruined( but I had it only once) For special occasions ( we had bday) they took off the bill the ice cream my daughter chose. We also got a cute card signed by the staff We had a good time, and more that probably will come back

Greetings! We just flew in from Chicago and it was time to find THE place for dinner. With so many places to choose from, we didn't to miss a local treasure and wind up at a place that was a swing and a miss dinner in NOVA. Burton's Grill and Bar was ANYTHING but a disappointment. It is my pleasure to share that it easily joins the ranks of places that I want to write about because it is a place that I think you should know about. The packed dining room and lively scene was easy to spot from the car. Our concerns for a wait were justified when we were told that it would be thirty to forty minutes for a table. Normally, I'd wait, but we needed to eat...Fortunately, there is full menu service at the bar. Sitting at the bar was the move! Suggestion: sit by the end close to the open kitchen and enjoy a great team cooking up a storm. Careful attention is given to food allergies and sensitivities...this focus could be beneficial as needed. Bathrooms are well-appointed and spotless, both qualities I appreciate and a sign of a well-run organization. As we took our seats at the bar, Somer warmly greeted us and smiled ear-to-ear as he walked by heading to the kitchen. Few gestures by waitstaff anywhere made me feel as welcome as I did in that moment. Kudos! Our server, Cougar, set us up for a great meal. After a few questions about choices and his recommendations, we placed our orders. I appreciated his polished guidance and knowledge of the menu. A Zombie Dust on tap and a Cougar-crafted Tito's-based blueberry and hibiscus lemonade got us underway...both well served. The side salad I ordered was the sign of the greatness yet to come...homemade honey mustard dressing carefully tossed into a wonderful salad was on point bite after bite. Crisp, fresh, flavorful...highlighted by bacon, blue cheese, red pepper, and cherry tomatoes. A standout salad like this shows great attention to detail... Entrees were two winners that were exceptional in every way: Short Rib Grilled Cheese and the Crispy Fish Sandwich. The Burton's website isn't wrong when they state their fare is made from scratch. Both choices were not only exceptional in their preparation, all of the details on the plate were of equal caliber: Fries, pickled onion, brioche, and presentation. The Braised Short Rib Grilled Cheese was full of fresh flavor served on a perfectly toasted bun, quality meat, and just the right amount of cheese. The au jus on the side perfectly paired. The Crispy Fish Sandwich was light years ahead of any fish sandwich I've had in recent memory. A huge portion of haddock perfectly coated waits to draw you right in on the first bite. Flakey, juicy, tender, and perfectly prepared in every way reminded me just how great a fish sandwich can be when you're closer to the coast. Fish is so easy to get wrong and I was fearful of my choice coming up short. I was elated that my oft-understated dish proved to be an exceptional dinner selection. While Burtons Bar and Grill can take pride in the food they served me tonight, I'd like to end by saving the best for last in my commentary: The Waitstaff. Samer, Cougar, Lindsey, and Jasmine: You each hit it out of the park and made every effort to make my meal wonderful and memorable. An organization can only go as far as the people who bring a restaurant to life. Your heart and commitment to high-quality service came through loud and clear...well done! There is so much more to explore in the menu that I hope to return to Burtons Grill and Bar in the future. UPDATE: We're hitting Burtons again for dinner for night #2...another sign of a winner! Until next time...tk

My friends and I decided to try out Burtons for dinner and it was pretty good. We sat outside on the patio. I enjoyed the vibes of the patio, but it was a bit dark at night. I ordered a margarita to drink and I asked our waitress if they had flavored ones. She said they could make me a mango one, and the mango margarita was amazing. We split the bread service, which I would highly recommend. I really loved the herb and garlic butter for the bread. For my entree, I got the chicken piccata. The sauce was really good and they put plenty of capers on the plate, which I appreciate. I will say the chicken was very bland, it didn't taste seasoned at all. I would definitely come back, I just might not order a chicken entree again.

Burtons grill and bar was so amazing because they brought me exactly 19 broccoli my sever was amazing he was so nice and kind broccoli was late negative points

We're long-time customers and are big fans of their consistently relaxed atmosphere, upbeat service, and delicious food. We haven't been in a while due to the birth of our son, but returning here reminded us of why we love coming here. Although we won't be up at the bar anymore, it's nice to know things are just as nice in the dining area. Keep doing what you're doing. :-)

Really enjoyed this place. Feel like they do a good job adhering to restrictions. We got the delicious zucchini and cauliflower appetizers which was amazing. we got the harvest bowl and veggie burger to split which was good. The fries I would highly recommend!

Delicious food. You can't go wrong ordering anything here. The staff was attentive and helpful. One small downside was that a few flies were buzzing around my group once our food came to the table. Otherwise, I would highly recommend based on the food, ambiance (musical playlist was on point), and the service. There were also free parking spots in walking distance around the restaurant.

Started with an espresso martini, a smoked Old Fashioned, and the fritto misto to share. Everything was really good. Then we split the lamb burger and the shrimp risotto for lunch. Both were excellent, although I think the risotto edged out the burger. Our server Mike made the whole experience. Before he even brought us water, he showed up with a bowl for Onyx. Come on, that's an instant five stars in my book. We ended up talking wine with him for a good part of the afternoon. He had us sample a few different pours before we landed on a Nebbiolo we loved. Later, after another conversation about wine, he brought over a taste of a white we'd never even heard of because he thought we'd enjoy trying it. It never felt like an upsell. It just felt like talking with someone who genuinely enjoys wine and likes sharing it with people. Relaxing patio, great food, excellent cocktails, and genuinely memorable service. We'll definitely be back, and Onyx probably will too.

The food was beautifully presented and the wine pairing was superb. Definitely recommend having them pair your wines. The grilled shrimp was a great start. The sparkling rose made the shrimp taste even better. The goat cheese ravioli was probably my favorite savory dish of the evening. The sweet sage-maple syrup-tomato sauce was fantastic. The Sancerre was pleasant with it, although I thought the ravioli itself was more impressive than the pairing. I had to order bread so the sauce wouldnt go to waste. I ordered the lamb medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium, and initially it was somewhat underseasoned. After adding salt and pepper and getting some of the thyme from the plate into the bite, the lamb became significantly better and worked better with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The creamed spinach underneath was delicious on its own, but I didn't enjoy it with the wine. Interestingly, the absolute highlight of that wine pairing was the braised garlic. The sweet, mellow garlic and Châteauneuf-du-Pape were wonderful together. Dessert was the highlight of the entire pairing. The lavender ice cream was outstanding, the Chantilly surrounding it was light and delicious, and the strawberry sauce wasn't overly sweet. The Sauternes was excellent with the dessert, particularly with the fresh strawberry. This was the pairing where the food and wine truly made each other better. Even though I was one of the last diners of the evening, I never felt rushed. My server was very attentive and social which I love. It was very romantic and yet comfortable enough that dining alone wasnt awkward. I'd happily return.

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is a very, quite spacious and very welcoming. It's right next to a lake and so the setting was lovely. We had an indoor/outdoor room with doors that opened to the outside. I had a raspberry lemon martini with a sugared glass rim. Very nicely presented. They have a very varied menu and they also have a large gluten-free menu. We both had the lobster bisque as a starter and then we both ordered the fish tacos. The soup was filled with lots of lobster meat and was delicious. The fish tacos were made with cod and the waiter mentioned that the slaw had some habanero chile in it. I asked if it was spicy and he said it might have a slight kick, but was not spicy. He was absolutely correct and in fact, if he hadn't mentioned the habanero I would not have picked up on it at all. It was really good. If you order bread, (and you have choices on type), you are charged I think a dollar per order, but that is donated to help people who are food challenged. We were full from our dinner, but we could not pass up an order of key lime pie for dessert, which we shared. It was a hard choice because they had a special dessert which was chocolate peanut-butter pie. I wish we could have had both. Their other desserts also sounded great. By the way, a portion of their revenues from desserts are also donated to help those who need food assistance. I was very impressed that they do that. I want to mention that the wait staff was also great. Friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing. I can't say enough about Sweetwster Tavern. If I find myself in this area again, I will definitely be back.

For a weeknight, this restaurant was surprisingly busy, which felt like a good sign! Dinner started out with trying some of their appetizers. We got the Tex Mex Egg Rolls as well as their special Burrata appetizer. The Tex Mex Egg Rolls came with four tasty mini egg rolls filled with smoked chicken, corn, black beans, onions, peppers, and jalapeño jack cheese. They were served with a creamy avocado dipping sauce that added a cool, refreshing contrast to the savory filling. Overall, these were a light and flavorful way to start the meal. The Burrata special was also pretty good. It came with three crisp breads, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, extra virgin olive oil and drizzles of balsamic glaze. I loved the buttery, creamy burrata paired with the juicy cherry tomatoes. I also liked how the basil pesto and balsamic glaze gave a bright, herby flavor. For my entree, I opted for the Wood Grilled Chicken Breast. Two generous pieces of tender grilled chicken were served over angel hair pasta tossed in brown butter sauce, alongside roasted cremini mushrooms and green beans. Interestingly, I got a lemony flavor in the brown butter sauce, which was unexpected but surprisingly delicious. I especially enjoyed the roasted cremini mushrooms. These were earthy, meaty and full of flavor! Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner at Sweetwater Tavern. From the flavorful starters to the hearty entree, it was a satisfying first dinner in Dulles. I'm glad I took the hotel receptionist's recommendation. Locals know best!

Nothing exceptional but good quality, good food And a fair amount of steak in mine for $16. I wish I could say the same about the service or lack there of provided by the two young female servers. For starters, they have zero communication skills. They drop things at the table and just stand there without a word. I did not receive the Vietnamese coffee that I ordered until I asked for it nor was I asked whether or not I wanted it with whipped cream - there's was no description on the menu so I wasn't aware it came with whipped cream. When we placed our order we asked for extra cilantro and received no cilantro at all. Once the runner delivered our food no one came over to ask how everything had turned out, if we needed anything else etc. The lack of communication, lack of attention to detail and quite frankly complete lack of personality turned a pleasant afternoon meal into a disappointment. Wife, 2 y/o, and I never been to a Red Lobster so didnt really have much to go off of. The interior was a "dated", after seeing the Red Lopster interior change on TV, i was hoping to see the new interior, so that was a bummer. Ms. C was our waitress. We had the corner area, probably about 7 tables? It was around 1145 so not many guests were there. Our child has allergy concerns so before we ordered, Ms. C brought the allergy booklet out and confirmed all our orders the Shrimp, lobster, salmon, potato and broccoli. Jambalaya shrimp and sausage. She recommended not to give our kid the biscuits (allergy concerns) so instead brought out fruit for him. Not requested but such a generous offer and showed her above and beyond care for our kid. Our big concern was the food being salty ( as most Cajun seafood places are). Food wasn't salty, perfectly seasoned, juicy lobster and shrimp. Salmon wasn't overcooked, Orzo rice was amazing. Ms. C was attentive, genuinely caring, and professional. We are a Red Robin or Texas roadhouse fan. But this Visit put Red Lobster on our top list. Family of 3, Lobster shrimp, salmon, Jambalaya, biscuits, fruit, great service for under $70 for a sit down restaurant? in this economy. Rare. We will be going there again. Thank you Ms. C for a great experience.

Even though I reviewed this Red Lobster years ago, I never got around to updating it. When I first…read morewrote the review, our daughter was working for Red Lobster. I made the mistake of reviewing the one in Fairfax when our daughter had given us coupons to try some new non-seafood items that Red Lobster was introducing at the time. I made another mistake by mentioning she worked for Red Lobster -- never mind, it wasn't at this particular location. Yelp removed my review. Well...she hasn't worked for "The Lobster" in years now. So I can now update :D Red Lobster came very close to going out of business. They closed several of their restaurants nationwide. The one in Sterling was never on any lists for closures. We would go from time to time. Recently, Red Lobster has started adding new entrees and side dishes. When I saw that they were now offering seafood boils, I wanted to try one. Neither of us had ever had a seafood boil, but we grew up knowing about them We were here on a Saturday for an early dinner and were surprised to see how many other customers were there. As the evening progressed, even more came in to eat. Good to see that! Our server was friendly, polite, and efficient. We each ordered a seafood boil. I got the Mariner's boil, which has crab legs, lobster tail, a dozen shrimp, corn on the cob, and potatoes. My husband got the Sailor's boil, which has 2 dozen shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, and potatoes. There are 3 dressings available. We both chose the original one, which was garlic butter. It took a while for our food to come out but, no problem. We were served cheddar bay biscuits that were fresh out of the oven so we didn't feel like we were starving. When our boils came, our server shook the bag to make sure the sauce was evenly spread around. The bags came in what looked like a pie plate. I had thought ahead and brought along some disposable kitchen food prep gloves for each of us. Thus, we were able to dig right into our food. As I'm not a fan of shrimp, I gave my shrimp to my husband. My boil still had a generous amount of crab legs, plus a lobster tail. The crab legs and lobster tail were properly cooked, as was the corn on the cob. We both agreed that the potatoes could have been cooked a bit longer, but they were still edible. The corn on the cob was sweet and flavorful. My husband said he liked the sausage that was in his boil. Overall, we both enjoyed our meals and were glad we gave them a try. Hopefully, they will stay on "Red Lobster's" menu. As for ambiance, it's still the same old seafood restaurant vibe. And, yes, we will continue to go from time to time.

I'm not even kidding, it was 40 people with no reservations prior, they showed up with a wedding cake too lol. The staff was running around like chickens with their head cut off. The wedding party kept bumping into our table and other patrons table, needless to say we were all super annoyed, . I mean I get restaurants need business but to take 40 people without reservations on whim like that was definitely bad judgment on management. We couldn't even hear ourselves talk, it got so loud. Would I come back , I honestly don't know, but I can say the food was good, especially the leche the tigre

They also have Peruvian breakfast on the weekends which is hard to find. Doesn't get better than their w/ pan con chicharron with the salsa criolla. Doesn't get any more authentic than here (& my Peruvian husband agrees!)

MY 2 STAR RATING IS NOT ABOUT FOOD TASTE, QUALITY AND FRESHNESS WHICH IS VERY GOOD ON ALL FRONTS at…read morethis location (**for the hibachi teriyaki grilled chicken which is the only entree we ever get here**) The 2 stars is for the ever increasing prices of this place and the continued shrinkflation happening here (and at the other Sarku locations I'm sure). I read my last review of this place over 2 years ago and chuckled. Even back then (just coming out of covid) I was complaining about these same things - price increase and shrinkflation. And to think I thought $22 for 2 teriyaki chicken meals was too much! This weekend I paid $19 for ONE, count 'em ONE, chicken teriyaki meal, granted with double meat. What in the world was I complaining about 2+ years ago, amiright?! lol Then why keep coming here, you ask? Well, sometimes you have to cave in when the teriyaki craving hits you. We come out to the mall eatery when we're in the area running errands. The eatery has surprisingly rebounded and appears to be reconstituting its offerings although the mall itself, post-covid, remains a sad and sorry shell of its former self. #sadface Back to Sarku...No complaints at all about the taste, freshness and quality of the teriyaki chicken. A container full of sizzling, piping hot and fresh grilled meat right from watching it get expertly grilled right before your own eyes - CAN'T GET MORE FRESH THAN THAT. The "chef" working the grill honestly is a pro. We remember him when he first started wayyyyy back in the day (well before covid) - "apprenticing" under the prev "chef". This guy is good - he apprenticed well lol. He's fast, efficient and knows how to crank out multiple orders at once. Frankly, he single-handedly keeps this place running like a top. (Give this guy a raise....or part ownership of the business because he's the one keeping this place alive and kicking.) So, NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL WITH SARKU'S FOOD QUALITY. Our go-to order now is to order 1 ENTREE WITH DOUBLE MEAT. It's definitely a better deal and IT'S ENOUGH FOR 2 PEOPLE TO SHARE - especially if you're not ravenous. Check out my pic and vid of our double meat order. You'll see what I mean. ANOTHER TIP: no matter that we no longer frequent this place much anymore (due to how expensive it's become for "fast food"), we still keep a FREQUENT DINER CARD on hand and use it when we go/order - it's worth getting a free entree for every 6 you order - so if you're not doing that (especially if you do go here regularly or order multiple entrees in a single visit), get a card from the cashier and start getting your entrees stamped and earning a free meal. The cards never expire and are not location specific so even better if you frequent different Sarku locations. As I said, we don't go out of our way to go to this Sarku or any other location because of how pricey it is. Sarku has continued to steadily jack up their prices AND have made their containers smaller and smaller and smaller (so they can make you feel like they've generously stuffed your box full of food - clever! ...not). Their other menu items might be better value but I seriously doubt it and I don't think I would trust sushi made at a fast food carryout joint anyway. So, for all these reasons, we only go when we're in the area of the mall AND have a craving for teriyaki chicken.

I started with a couple of drinks, and let's just say the bartender had a generous pour--if you know, you know! The cheesesteak rolls were absolutely spot on. They were so good I almost ordered another round. For my entrée, I had the salmon with grits. Not everyone knows how to make good grits, but they did a good job. The salmon was cooked well, and the entire dish was delicious. Overall, it was a great first experience. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu.

I rate restaurants within their category and concept. I am not comparing a neighborhood breakfast…read morespot to a Michelin star dining experience. If a place consistently delivers tasty food, solid execution, and keeps you wanting to come back, that earns a top rating from me. Ted's Bulletin absolutely does that. We have been to the One Loudoun location several times for breakfast, and it is consistently a great experience. That kind of consistency matters, especially for breakfast service where some places can be hit or miss. One of our favorites has been the huevos rancheros. They serve it on tostadas, which gives the dish a great crispy base and a really satisfying texture. It is flavorful, hearty, and always hits the spot. We have also had their homemade tater tots, and they are excellent. Nicely fried, crisp on the outside, soft inside, and clearly done with care rather than feeling like an afterthought side dish. Their French toast is another strong option and always enjoyable. If you are in the mood for something sweeter, it is a very solid choice. We have also tried the breakfast cinnamon roll. It is definitely generous in size. It is decent and worth trying, but it can be a lot, which is probably why we only order it occasionally. For the kids, the hot chocolate is always a favorite and something they genuinely look forward to each visit. Overall, Ted's Bulletin continues to deliver tasty breakfast food, dependable quality, and a family friendly experience that keeps us coming back. Easy 5 stars from me.
