Turned out to be really good so we stopped by on a Monday night for dinner and Monday Night Football. Lots of TVs, football, trivia, good vibe and good food. The pizza is where it's at. The crust is perfect - chewy, crispy, and perfect flavor. Plus they have cup pepperoni. The cheesesteak eggrolls are ok. They were better the first time I had them. The cheese sauce is icky. I walked in there was no one behind the bar so I went back in my car and ordered online Food was not good. I ordered the four cheese tortellini with extra sauce cost $14 received tortellini's no sauce or salad came with it. No utensilsfor take out order and the pizza for my granddaughter that was like $16 for a cheese pizza. Pizza overcooked. There is no kids menu, which I understand because Just a busy bar. When I came to get my order, the bartender, the only one working there had people at the tables behind the bar at the bar and outside. Bathrooms are not clean. They are stinky and dirty and gross! That makes you wonder what the kitchen is like. This is not a review of the food because my wife and I were not able to taste any of it. Why? Well, we came in the restaurant around 6:30 last night and there were about 10 people at the bar inside and two sitting outside (that's a cool setup). We saw the bartender look at us when we came in and we sat down at a table. We were the only two people sitting at a table and the bartender simply never acknowledged our existence. We waved at him, he looked away, I stood up to catch his eye, he looked away. He kept going in the back and coming out with things for people at the bar, but simply never said a word to us. At the 10 minute mark, I told my wife I was giving it 5 more minutes and then we were leaving. Well, a customer at the bar seemed to notice us and just looked over and shrugged like she was the one who was sorry for the poor service. I could see she actually felt bad for us. Stubbornly, we waited longer than the 5 minutes before we got up and started to leave. I looked over at the bartender and he just watched us walk out the door. I never saw a server of any kind, I was thinking maybe they were in the back when we got there or on a break (at 6:30?), but nobody ever came out of the back and the bartender seemed not to care in the least, he was busy leaning against the bar, talking to customers. We went and ate at the Mexican restaurant that is in the same shopping center and the server had menus in our hands the minute our butts hit our seats and she was very attentive to us. It was nice to be appreciated as customers. This is a shame because I like Rai's Pizza next door and we could have gone there, but I wasn't giving this restaurant my business, at least not last night. read more

I came here on a Monday night football with my sister, and we sat at the bar to just chill and have a drink or so. The 5 stars goes to awesome service from 2 particular bartenders here, unfortunately I did not get their names, but one was African American and the other Asian. They were super easy-going, friendly, and helpful. My sister and I asked about specials, and they have Football specials on a special menu during games (with pretty decently priced food, and even better priced drinks). I could not decide what drink of choice, but the bartenders got me a small glass to taste the cherry Bold Rock on draft. I didn't love it, so they suggested a canned cider with real apple bits in it, which was delicious. They poured it in an icy cold glass. It definitely elevated the experience, with such a simple gesture, but excellent bartending service! PS: There is a BIG screen TV playing the main football / sports game, and several other TVs scattered throughout the whole bar (so there is something playing for everyone). I even saw a trio bring cards to play on their high top tables. The ambiance is good, with sports decor and some humorous signs posted. When we came, the night was still warm out so they had the garage-style doors up and open, so it was good ventilation and a great breeze. It's taken me a few days to find a way to write this review since this is a very popular joint in the NOVA area, but I decided to simply give an honest review based on my experience and not show any bias towards when my expectations were, nor worry how the review will be received (mostly because each restaurant has a single opportunity to make a good first impression). So, after hearing/reading more than a year's worth of hype about the Rai's cheesesteak in the DMV, I came to their newest joint, Rai's Pour House for lunch with fellow Foodie friends. We stopped in on a weekday and it was dead the entire time we were there, maybe only 1 or 2 others came in. Started with the trashcan nachos - The flavor of the nachos was decent. The chili and cheese were cold, pretty sure the cheese was probably supposed to be a warm, but the chili being as cold as it was seemed odd. We ordered the "Rai's cheesesteak" with fries instead of chips and the server told us they only have a 7" here, which was fine. But when it came out, it didn't look anything like what we've seen the Rai's Cheesesteak look like from all the other pics in social media. Having never been to Rai's, but seeing all the pics, I have to admit I was hoping for more. The amount of meat didn't even fill the bread (check the pics). The texture of the meat was 'ok'. The sub also came out with chips instead of fries. We also ordered a cheese pizza... That pizza crust was tasty! Crispy! And really good! The overall flavor of the pizza was great! Service was mediocre overall. After hearing so much hype, we all expected more, but suppose this visit was adequate. read more

The sample group I am working with is very small. But if it's truly representative, I will be going back. Can't comment much on ambiance since it was a takeout order. We ordered their cheesesteak. Two of them. Might be the best cheesesteak I have had in Northern Virginia. Lots of meat. Tasty fried onions. We got one "WIT" Cheese Whiz and one with Provolone. Yum! Service was a bit slow. Based on a Facebook northern Virginia food group recommendation, we ventured out for a cheesesteak. It's in Sterling; however, it was worth the hike over there. We had gone out there for Rai's cheesesteak but wandered into the pour house which is adjacent to Rai's. They had a large selection of beers in draft which was appealing and we were able to order a cheesesteak and a pizza with beef pepperoni and beyond sausage. The crust had a nice chew to it and flavor was great. We had ricotta on our pizza which maybe made the pizza a little sloppy so the next time, we will ask for the pie to be cooked well done. The cheesesteak was stuffed with lots of meat. We had provolone and American cheese and dang. It was great! I thought that I'd only have a bite since cheesesteaks typically aren't my thing but I easily ate half of it! There's lots of TV screens in this joint and they have happy hour prices on a Saturday afternoon starting at 3. There was only one server working the bar and the tables so the service wasn't quick. If you're in a rush, you may want to go there when you're not. The food was well worth it and I'd journey back out there for a cheesesteak again. It's worth the hike. Lots of tables. Shoutout to the Northern VA Foodies Facebook group for telling me about this place. Got takeout from Rai's pizza almost a year ago. Was interested in the "Rai's pour house" that they were building right next door at the time. Fast forward to now, when I decided to give it a try. Walked into the door and it was a seat-yourself restaurant. We were greeted upon arrival with menus at the table of our choice. It's kind of a smaller place, and actually connects to Rai's pizza next door. There were a bunch of TV's throughout the restaurant. Our server originally was a bartender. And throughout the rest of the experience we had other bartenders checking on us. They have an awesome happy hour! Their shooters are to die for, especially the Starburst one. We started out with the bacon cheese fries and the cheese pull bread. The cheese bread was to die for! The fries tasted baked-definitely something different than were used to. For an entree we shared a small pepperoni pizza and a Philly cheese sub. Their subs come with Old Bay potato chips-flavorful and awesome. We didn't have enough room for dessert. More people need to know about this place! It's in a little hidden shopping center. read more

First time here and I will definitely be back. Nice place for pizza, beer and a great time. Lots of TVs to watch your favorite game. Had a great pepperoni, sausage, and onions pizza. The pizza was very flavorful, the sauce was plentiful and the crust was amazing. Service was very good and we had a very attentive waiter who came to check on us throughout the meal to make sure we had enough drinks and food. The prices were reasonable for what we got and I will definitely go back because I want to try some of them more exotic pizzas as well as some of the other delicious foods like their wings, cheesesteak, and some of their delicious desserts that I thought about trying but was kind of full from the pizza. This restaurant also has an outside area which looks like it were the seats right up to the bar on the outside and a few tables outside. It was much too hot to sit outside and we were much more comfortable inside in the air conditioning. I highly recommend giving this place a try, you can't go wrong with a sports bar type place and the quality of the food that they provided us. read more

Ended up getting the PO-HO burger without cheese. I'm a picky eater so take it as you will but I wasn't impressed with it. The fries on the other hand were damn good. Service wasn't the best. We went around 8:30 - 9 ish and it was kind of busy and I think they only had 2 people staffed at the bar so I can see why it took a bit long. I've had the steak and cheese before and it was great. Great food, cool chill atmosphere! We have been a few times with the kids and everyone has enjoyed it. We keep talking about having an adult night out here but have yet to do it. I had the worst experience with a woman employee. I walked in confused because I wasn't sure where to pick up the pizza I ordered. Also, when I went through the door it was what appeared to be the entrance to the kitchen. It's a confusing set up. I walked around the corner and there was only the woman behind the bar. I asked her if this is where I pick up pizza and she looked at me and looked away with no response or acknowledgment. It was so rude. As I stood there a young girl walked in and I asked her about my pizza. She very sweetly said she'd go get it. At this moment the woman behind the bar yells something at me about paying at the bar register. Again very rudely and arrogant. I paid for my pizza and she gave me my receipt without a thank you. She grabbed the pizza from the young girl who was walking out of the kitchen and handed it to me. As I was leaving she yelled, "have a nice day". I couldn't believe she turned her rudeness into my issue. I was not rude. I was on a very good mood when I walked in to get my pizza. I'm still incredulous at her behavior. I hope she's not an owner. She appeared to be in her 40s. Also, it's not New York pizza. The crust was all wrong. read more
