I walked in there was no one behind the bar so I went back in my car and ordered online Food was not good. I ordered the four cheese tortellini with extra sauce cost $14 received tortellini's no sauce or salad came with it. No utensilsfor take out order and the pizza for my granddaughter that was like $16 for a cheese pizza. Pizza overcooked. There is no kids menu, which I understand because Just a busy bar. When I came to get my order, the bartender, the only one working there had people at the tables behind the bar at the bar and outside. On your first order you're supposed to get 20% off, but of course they didn't give it to me but that's OK because I will not be going back. You obviously did not read my review !!!

Cump vaping weed at the ba is the vibe.

Food was below average but the two dudes vaping weed (Cannabis) at the bar assure that I will never eat here again. I don't need your skank with the sketch food. I honestly don't even know how this was just completely ignored by the staff. Probably something you get a health inspector visit because of and maybe lose your ABC license for.

    Rai's Cheesesteak

It's taken me a few days to find a way to write this review since this is a very popular joint in the NOVA area, but I decided to simply give an honest review based on my experience and not show any bias towards when my expectations were, nor worry how the review will be received (mostly because each restaurant has a single opportunity to make a good first impression). So, after hearing/reading more than a year's worth of hype about the Rai's cheesesteak in the DMV, I came to their newest joint, Rai's Pour House for lunch with fellow Foodie friends. We stopped in on a weekday and it was dead the entire time we were there, maybe only 1 or 2 others came in. Started with the trashcan nachos - The flavor of the nachos was decent. The chili and cheese were cold, pretty sure the cheese was probably supposed to be a warm, but the chili being as cold as it was seemed odd. We ordered the "Rai's cheesesteak" with fries instead of chips and the server told us they only have a 7" here, which was fine. But when it came out, it didn't look anything like what we've seen the Rai's Cheesesteak look like from all the other pics in social media. Having never been to Rai's, but seeing all the pics, I have to admit I was hoping for more. The amount of meat didn't even fill the bread (check the pics). The texture of the meat was 'ok'. The sub also came out with chips instead of fries. We also ordered a cheese pizza... That pizza crust was tasty! Crispy! And really good! The overall flavor of the pizza was great! Service was mediocre overall. After hearing so much hype, we all expected more, but suppose this visit was adequate.

Pizza with beef pepperoni, behind sausage and ricotta

Based on a Facebook northern Virginia food group recommendation, we ventured out for a cheesesteak. It's in Sterling; however, it was worth the hike over there. We had gone out there for Rai's cheesesteak but wandered into the pour house which is adjacent to Rai's. They had a large selection of beers in draft which was appealing and we were able to order a cheesesteak and a pizza with beef pepperoni and beyond sausage. The crust had a nice chew to it and flavor was great. We had ricotta on our pizza which maybe made the pizza a little sloppy so the next time, we will ask for the pie to be cooked well done. The cheesesteak was stuffed with lots of meat. We had provolone and American cheese and dang. It was great! I thought that I'd only have a bite since cheesesteaks typically aren't my thing but I easily ate half of it! There's lots of TV screens in this joint and they have happy hour prices on a Saturday afternoon starting at 3. There was only one server working the bar and the tables so the service wasn't quick. If you're in a rush, you may want to go there when you're not. The food was well worth it and I'd journey back out there for a cheesesteak again. It's worth the hike. Lots of tables. Great for watching the game and having a tasty pizza or bar snacks too.

Best cheesesteak in area. By far. They use amoroso rolls from Philly. Awesome happy hour and authentic NY style pizza. Also open till 2 am with great draft beer selection!!

First, the hostess acted like we were an intrusion into her evening, didn't welcome us or make eye contact. She sat us at a booth, which didn't work, so she did seat us at a table. I asked for a vegetarian menu, knowing there was one, but she walked off, did not return. Our waiter was a young man, spoke very softly; we both had a difficult time hearing him. My wife ordered her drink; I asked for a few more minutes. That drink did not appear until half my meal was over, which I did not appreciate. And I had to ask 3 times to get the drink, including asking another waiter. We ordered salad and main dish; my vegetarian menu finally appeared. It just seemed both the hostess and our waiter did not care to attend to us. I do not know if we will be returning; and to top this all off, both the hostess and waiter called us 'Guys'. When two older women are sitting at the same table, we are ladies, or simply nice to see you two tonight. Please tell your wait staff to get this right. We like Bungalow Lakehouse, it is close to home, and the atmosphere is comfortable.

Vicky, the owner, guided me through the food ordering ensuring I wasn't ordering too much or too little. Recently both the quality of the food and the service has deteriorated. When we had dinner there in early April I had Spanakopita and Grilled Shrimp, while my wife had Grilled Bronzini. While my dinner was satisfactory the Bronzini was bland and watery. This was probably due to a grill that wasn't hot enough, and the fish was steamed rather than grilled. With Bronzini high heat is essential to obtain a smoky flavor with a crisp skin. Also, the number of waiters and servers was insufficient, and we had to wait a long time to place our order, receive our food and get the check at the end of our meal. We had dinner there again this weekend and I again had Spanakopita along with a Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken, and my wife again had the Bronzini and Beignet for desert. This time the Bronzini was over cooked and the skin was charred. She should have sent it back to the kitchen, but after waiting over 45 minutes to get our food we were both rather hungry. Beignet is a deep-fried pastry of French origin that is most frequently associated with New Orleans Creole cuisine. It is made from yeast-leavened dough and deep-fried. When properly prepared it is crisp on the outside and airy on the inside and is covered with powdered sugar and served hot. My wife has had Beignet many times at Kalypso's and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time it was awful lumps of fried dough covered with sugar. And again the waiters and servers were significantly understaffed. We had to wait for 30 minutes to place our orders, and while our waiter was polite and helpful this was unacceptable. While I understand a long wait at a busy restaurant with a large number of patrons this wasn't the case. As we were driving home from dinner we decided this would be the last time we would eat at Kalypso's. This is unfortunate, because in the past it was a very nice place for casual dining.

Although our hostess was pleasant, she was too much of a social butterfly to stay focused on tasks at her assigned tables. It took over 20 minutes to get our checks after we requested them. Meanwhile she fluttered from table to table talking to folks as if this were her house party. The food came out pretty fast. None of it was spectacular but it was what we expected from a sports bar. The mood was lively as the DJ took requests and tried to get the party going. I'm just not sure that the atmosphere and setting matched together. The hostess suggested that we got our drinks at a bar across the gaming floors as the restaurant bar was running way behind. I did and it was outside of security so I had to wait in line again to come back onto the gaming floor as the bar is at the bldg entryway before the security checkpoint.. I ordered my usual and I didn't taste it till I got to my table. It was definitely not Crown Royal Deluxe on the rocks in my cup. Nevertheless, I drank it cause I didn't want to go and fight thru security and with a bartender that may or may not know what is in their bottles. None of the food items were anything of note. I will recommend that they take suggestions from the patrons on how to make things better. It's a new casino and it shows. Hopefully I'll be able to give a better review at some point. This place has potential.

The young man at the counter took our orders, and someone working in the back made the sandwiches. We just ordered savory items, so we can't speak to how the sweet items are (although some of them sounded so good). I ordered the salmon sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with dill cream cheese, filled with smoked Atlantic salmon, spring mix, cucumber, and red onion." The bread choices are everything bagel, jalapeno, and cheesy. I chose the everything bagel and asked for no onion. I found this sandwich to be tasty, but I thought they could have gone lighter with the dill cream cheese. The bread had a nice crispness. My husband ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with paprika mayo and filled with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, fresh romaine hearts, spring mix, sweet pepper, tomato, cucumber, and red onion". He wasn't happy with the paprika mayo, as he says mustard would have worked better. Nor did he care for the sweet peppers. Now he knows not to order the default setting for this sandwich but instead to customize the toppings. They work with DoorDash, which, when ordering online, gives the option to customize one's order. There are high tables, the type that are found in bars, for those who want to eat their sandwiches there. The place is kept very clean.
