We were in the area and hungry, so we decided to try this place. The inside is small, they have a few tables on the left side and then the bar takes up most of the right side of the restaurant. The restaurant definitely has a strong pub vibe and there were a bunch of TVs with different games on. We shared some of the pub fries with bacon and cheese and some mozzarella sticks. The pub fries were good, but they were a little stingy with the toppings. The mozzarella sticks were okay, they didn't have much cheese pull though. I got a cup of the soup of the day (broccoli and cheddar), and I really liked it. It was really flavorful, I just wish I got a bowl of it. Overall, it was a good find in Ashburn. read more

Back when I used to live in Ashburn, I'd visit here a couple times for drinks/sports to hang out. Haven't been back here since moving to Houston. Stopped back in here to check it out early this month for NFL sunday; pleased to see nothing has changed and it's still the spot that warms my heart upon walking in. For those who watch that CHEERS show, this is a bar that gives that vibe. If you're a regular here, they all know who you are. Bartenders/servers are on top of their game every day with their drinks, food orders, serving your tab, and giving recommendations/small talk. Beers are cheap here compare to the other commercial scalers; plus since it's a DMV bar, they serve complimentary jello shots when the Redskins/Commanders score a TD. Pretty cool! Bar eats here are very good. Wings are a must order, they're known for their beaver wings. I can't put my finger on how to describe the flavor; just butter, spice, some sweetness, and a touch of tang. Wings are always tender and succulent. Grill markings give it a nice presentation as well. Probably some of the best wings in the area; mark my words! Met some cool people who are regulars here or live in the area which reminds me of the comradery and friendliness of the locals here. Most are DMV sports fans with some others sprinkled in from NY, PHI, ATL, MIA, HOU, and other areas all around. It's heart-warming seeing people from all over mingle and have a good time which is what this establishment is all about. Everything about Ashburn Pub is great. They have some of the best food in the area, they open early if you want breakfast and the staff and service is exceptional. It's a small establishment, but I think that lends to the charm and ambiance of being there. There's very little character that's able to survive in Loudoun County due to high prices of real state, so having a place like the Ashburn Pub close by is awesome. read more

I wanted to try a new place so I went here for happy hour and sat at the bar. It was lively and people seemed to know each other. I tried the wings which were reasonably priced at 50 cents each. There were many sauces to choose from and I picked all flats with a smokehouse bbq sauce. They were very good: above average size, meaty and hot. The sauce was delicious. My friends and I went here on a Saturday for lunch. It wasn't crowded at first, but then the lunch crowd came in quickly! Still, the service was great! We were greeted quickly and our order was taken immediately. I ordered the French dip and subbed the fries with a house salad (no croutons) and one of my friends ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and my other friend ordered a Philadelphia sandwich with a side of seasoned french fries. Oh my goodness, everything was so fresh and super amazing!! My friend who ordered the Caesar salad said her chicken was so fresh and tender and juicy and moist!! My roast beef on my French dip was incredibly super moist and tender, and dipped in the au jus was just simply amazing!! SO MUCH FLAVOR!!! my other friend who ordered the Philly cheesesteak and just loved it!! So much that she also ordered one for her husband to go! It definitely is a quaint little pub and we enjoyed the experience very much! There are TVs all the way around and you can watch sports channels and games whatever you'd like! They do have a nice bar selection as well! Of course, I ordered myself a Buffalo Trace old-fashioned, and it was simply delicious!! This is definitely a come back to!! Food there is always very good and reasonably priced. It can be a bit noisy in evenings though but fun atmosphere for sports fans.

It was a cold, rainy night and we were looking for some comfort food classics. I had the French Onion Soup and a chicken caesar salad. My wife opted for the Fish and Chips. The food was EXCELLENT. The soup was simple and on point. Beefy. Oniony. A toasted crouton and flavorful melted cheese. Everything French Onion Soup is supposed to be, and nothing fancy. I'd repeat just for that item alone. My Grilled Chicken Caesar was nothing spectacular, but was very good, which was exactly what I wanted. Tons of cheese, good dressing, and lean grilled chicken. My wife's fish and chips was a huge amount of food. Two very large planks of a mild white fish, served over seasoned fries. Beer batter on the fish was great! We couldn't finish it all. This place is a sports bar. It can be loud. We were there on a Sunday night, and it was noisy, so don't expect to have intimate conversations. That being said, it was nice to be able to watch a game and zone out with some great food. Definitely would go back! read more

Well okay Ashburn Pub, I see you!!!! I have never been here until today and I can totally see what all the hype is about. Plus evidently on Fridays (at least this Friday) they have half price wings (bone in only) til 3 pm, so I don't mind if I do!!! The place is small but it has a nice feel to it!! If you are looking for a local spot with a hometown friendly feel. The place was packed to say the least. The french onion soup is a good look. Nice big chunks of onion and the cheese was melted to grand perfections. I know what you are here for, those wings were everything you could hop for, imagine and dream of!!! When a place has their "signature" wings you kinda gotta try them. So I went with a pound of wings (which is about 10, flats and drums mixed) half Old Bay and Half Double Down. Old Bay is old bay so you cant really go wrong with those, flavor was consistent. The execution of those Double Down wings, oh I am a fan!!!! If you like a hint of sweetness and a hint of tang, these wings are for youuuuuuuuu!! They will have you licking your fingers clean and I mean that!! I know you are wondering what them tots do........ Good, they are some good tots. Dusted with parm and pieces of bacon, I think next time I will get them loaded for the full experience!!! Our waiter was super cool, he made sure everyone had what they needed and checked in on us often. They have good happy hour specials on food and drinks alike. In all fairness we didn't eat there. We intended on eating there but when we walked in it was really warm in there - don't know if A/C wasn't working or it was set too high. But we would have been too uncomfortable dining. I know it's a pub, but it was extremely loud in there - lots of people at the bar and in that area. WOW, what a fantastic pub this is, I was passing through the swamp metro area on my way back to Iraq & an fortunate sandstorm in baghdad gave me an extra day in the area. It has that type of "locals only" feel but anyone is welcome really, Robin was tending bar AND taking care of the folks dining at tables at the same time. I only saw her & 1 other guy the whole night, it wasn't super busy but there was a good amount of patrons in there from 7pm when I got there till I helped close the place down at midnight. The dude immediately accommodated me when I asked him if he could put the yankees game on the tv in front of me & Robin kept my lil bitch ass michelob ultras full at all times. To eat I had the bacon cheeseburger quesadilla & it was fucking incredible then I slammed some more booze & got hungry again a few hours later & ordered some pub fries & those too were FANFUCKINGTASTIC!. There was a small group in there from some company called thundercat technology & they started chatting me up & even bought me a couple drinks, they all seemed like great fellas. Several of us were there past last call & they didn't even rush us out they just let us finish our conversations & go when we were ready, shitters were pretty clean too & they have the TouchTunes app there too, I really hope i get another overnighter in this area again so I can come back to this awesome bar. read more

Been quite a while since I've visited but it was a favorite. I moved to Ashburn because of this place

This is close to our house and we have been wanting to check it out as it is the "neighborhood bar". The yelp reviews are great and definitely not wrong. My husband and I were able to stop in for lunch today and enjoyed it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The place is clean, tables are spread out, and staff are wearing masks. There's also hand sanitizer at each table. There's a small outside tent for outdoor seating. We got the filet tidbits and Buffalo chips which were delicious! The filet tidbits are like small pieces of steak on a stick with a brown dipping sauce....ate it all before I took a photo! The Buffalo chips are nice and crispy and the ranch is creamy goodness. They have stuff like shock top and devil's backbone on tap but this isn't a craft brew place (plenty of other places in the area for that). I ordered a Pub Burger and my husband got the Steak, Egg and Cheese. The food was good and the burger was on a brioche roll (so important). It was nothing crazy but just good food. I will definitely come back! Just wish they didn't run out of dessert! I'll have to try it next time! read more
