The bartenders make this place! Great draft selection. But also an incredible and rotating can assortment (smart!). Tell them what you like, have a taste of a draft or 2, hear what's available in cans, and you may walk away with the perfect beer and the story that goes with it.

Great atmosphere on a Friday evening, the place is pretty full. Neighborhood friendly service with great vibes, a few TV sports channels on display. Great variety menu selection of beers, wine, burgers and sandwiches, salads and a few pasta dishes. We had the Gyro with Onion Rings and the Fish and Chips that came with half a plate of salad , what a pleasant surprise!

The customer service was cool had a few beers that was pretty good but the pizza was trash. The pizza had no flavor at all! It tasted like FRESH AIR‼ I know I'm buzzing a little bit off the beers and all. I just wasnt satisfied! I'm Just being honest. I know the people who work here are kind ..good customer service BUT..the pizza was just not hittin" 8 wings is like $15 so if I know the pizza wasn't it I definitely know what the wings taste like.. I just Wasn't satisfied with it I only ate it (left 3 slices) because I was buzzing / hungry trying to satisfy my hunger.. don't believe the hype of the 5/4 stars for the food .. sorry but I won't be back.. respectfully.. to be honest I haven't had any good food in the area in this northern VA area. the Chinese food out here is trash too.

Super fun place if you do it right!! We visited in November (I'm way behind on reviews!) We brought our two kids. The downstairs bar and outdoor space (tented on a deck adjacent to the building, picnic tables) seemed really fun. They were blasting indie rock circa 2012 and the vibe was somewhat like a frat party before anyone showed up. (It was like 11 AM-noon.) Since things were pretty ok with covid then, we thought it'd be better to sit inside. The bar didn't have great seating for a family, so we headed upstairs, which is confusingly a separate--but related--restaurant. The vibe was entirely different in a senior citizen kind of way. They were blazing cheesy music (think: when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie). We made the executive decision to rejoin the frat party. We were so glad we did! (All of us except our three year old. She just kept saying she was cold. There are heaters over head, but I think she wanted more heat, lol.) Good pizza, good beer selection. I really liked everything I got. It's a fun spot and I bet in the summer that deck is super fun. Stay on the ground level unless you're in the mood for some cheesy times.

Menu for happy hour.

Great beer bar with fantastic happy hour menu and eats. Chicken Margarita Flat Bread is exceptional from what friends say and can't wait for it to arrive! So it was delicious. The crust was lightly toasted and flaky with hint of garlic. Cheese melted delicately over grilled chicken, tomato, and onion bites. Each mouthful had the perfect garnish of basil. Paired with the Hardywod Peach Triple, my experience was over the top! The Belgian Ale was spicy with subtle hint of pepper, honeysuckle, apricots and peaches. Amazing pairing of tastes. Early evening patio seating on a balmy afternoon and slowly puffing on a NUB cigar. Doesn't get better.

Fun little hidden spot in Herndon to grab a few beers. It's small, but cozy and the staff are not only super personable but they're very knowledgeable about the beers they have on tap. Would've liked to have seen some more rare stuff on tap but overall, I can't wait to go back. Very nice view from the outside seating area. Perfect to catch a sunset with a few brews!

Mile20 is practically our home away from home. Amazing craft beer selection and beer tenders that have become more like family than friends.

When the rain started becoming an issue, he actually moved the umbrellas together to make sure Onyx had a dry spot. Really appreciated that. We started with a Bourbon Club and the Nitro Espresso Martini, then got the buffalo wings and she-crab soup. The wings can be grilled or fried and we went grilled, which was definitely the right call. Good char on them and I'd get them the same way again. The she-crab soup was also really good and perfect for a rainy afternoon. For lunch we had the French dip and the Reuben, and subbed the mac and cheese for one of the sides. Both sandwiches were solid, but the mac and cheese deserves a mention of its own. Definitely worth the substitution. Good food, good drinks, and especially good service from Kenny. Being able to hang out on the patio with our dog without the rain ruining lunch made the whole experience even better.

It took some time to get actual service, starting with an ask for iced water that took 15 minutes and then just got ice in a cup, red flag number two. This then followed multiple food issues, poorly prepared, cooked, and bused tables. When I brought up undercooked food a manager showed up 4 minutes later and said that the kitchen was under prepared and asked if I wanted anything else. They tried to correct it but brought out the same side again that was again under cooked. It took time to ask for the bill, and anticipated some kinda financial apology for the service and food quality, there wasn't, in fact I saw on the receipt that they were tracking how many times they filled my water glass, so weird. I wouldn't go back here if the meal was free. Beyond the atmosphere the restaurant really has nothing much to offer in comparison to its competitors in the area. Unclear how it's achieved 4.2 stars on yelp.

Service was friendly and mostly fast. I did wait awhile for a water refill. I sprung for the Ozzie Rolls based on all of the Yelp recommendations and they were delicious! Unfortunately, our recent experience at Jackson's in Reston was extremely disappointing, especially because we were celebrating my mom's birthday. Our server, Lindsey, was unfriendly from the start, inattentive throughout the meal, and did little to make us feel welcome. One of our drinks took over 10 minutes to arrive, she barely checked on us, and she never acknowledged my mom's birthday. While the birthday dessert was a nice touch, it was brought out by another team member who made more of an effort than our own server. Equally disappointing was the lack of any management presence or follow-up, despite managers being visible in the restaurant. Having worked in the hospitality industry, we understand the importance of good service and are typically very generous with our tips. This was the first time we genuinely questioned whether the service warranted one. Great American Restaurants has built its reputation on excellent food and hospitality, which is why our family has continued to support the group. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those standards. Management should address the lack of professionalism and attentiveness, as guests celebrating special occasions deserve better. We will continue to visit other Great American Restaurants, but after this experience, we will likely avoid Jackson's in the future.

When you first walk in, you'll notice the large tanks on the left, which are part of the distillery. There's also a nice-sized tasting room. The bar and dining areas are quite spacious, and they even have a game room. There are TVs throughout the restaurant, and since we visited on a Sunday, they were displaying football helmets on the screens to show which game would be playing on each TV. It's a nice touch for football fans! We all ordered drinks. My wife had iced tea, and I ordered their Old Fashioned from the menu. For lunch, my wife had a burger and fries, while I went with the brunch burger and fries. My aunt ordered fish tacos, and my uncle had a burger as well. While we waited for our food, they brought out a bowl of popcorn for the table, which was a nice little extra. My Old Fashioned was really good. I also liked the attention to detail with the large ice cube, which had a picture embedded in it. It was a nice presentation and made the drink a little more special. As for the food, the burgers were really good, and the fries were excellent. They were cooked just right, which I appreciated. Too many restaurants serve fries that are barely cooked or have already gone cold by the time they reach the table, but that wasn't the case here. Overall, we had a very good experience at Open Road. The atmosphere is lively, there's plenty of space to enjoy a meal or a drink, and the food and drinks were both enjoyable. Whether you're looking for lunch, dinner, or just a drink at the bar, I would definitely recommend stopping by Open Road in Reston Town Center!

The free popcorn still isn't good or all that enjoyable, service can be hit or miss, drinks are expensive, and the food is very good. The Reston location does have plenty of large TVs, making it a solid place to catch a game. This was a guys' night out for food and drinks, but it's probably not going to become a regular meetup spot when a couple of easy changes could make a big difference. First, get rid of the popcorn, it's honestly laughable. Second, bring the drink prices down. A Wild Turkey and Coke shouldn't cost $14. We started with something to share. My biggest concern was value for the price, and the menu only had a few appetizers that felt both shareable and reasonably priced. The Bavarian Pretzel was good, although I wasn't a fan of the mustard dip. At $10, it's a decent value for two or three people. The chili nachos were tasty, but $18 is just too much for what you get. Even if they doubled the chips and chili, I'd still think they were overpriced by a couple of dollars. I'll definitely give them credit for the entrées. On my last visit I had the jambalaya, which was excellent. This time I ordered the Peruvian-spiced half chicken, and it was fantastic. I ended up spending almost $100. I had a good time and enjoyed the food, but Open Road has moved into my "splurge" category rather than my monthly hangout spot. Our server may have been new because service was slow, and the kitchen was also taking a long time to get food out, especially for a Friday night. I'm giving the Reston location four stars, just like Arlington. The food was tasty, I had a good time, and I'd come back, ... but.... the little things, especially the drink prices, lopsided menu pricing, and inconsistent service, keep it from being one of my spontaneous go-to spots.

The miso eggplant was a nice sized appetizer for sharing and was seasoned nicely. The chicken ramen was also the perfect amount of spicy, had a good ratio of noodles to broth to vegetables, and was presented well. The dishes paired well with the matcha lemonade, which was aesthetically presented, had a subtle sweet lychee flavor, and was perfectly balanced. Probably wouldn't come here again at least to this location. Yelp waitlist didn't work, when walking in on slow Sunday and half empty restaurant was still asked to wait 20 minutes. When finally seated, the entire restaurant had only 4 high chairs which were taken so we had to eat hot ramen with little kids on laps... huge safety and hazard issue.. The ramen we always get was extremely strong-flavored, almost like a sauce so we ate halfway.. then they included the 20% tip barely counting to the 6 people requirement including 3 toddlers in it... still would've tipped without it.
