BIG EASY PASTA
Jong K.

Ordered from Miller's Alehouse via DoorDash, and honestly, I wasn't expecting much when I opened the box. The Philly cheesesteak looked a little sad, but let me tell you -- it actually tasted amazing! It totally surprised me, and I was all in. The fries on the side were crispy and perfect. And the Big Easy pasta? Spot on! The flavors were so on point, I found myself face-deep in the box, just devouring it. No shame -- it was that good. Definitely coming back for more! Great job, Miller's Alehouse! You've earned 5 stars from me.

BLACKENED SHRIMP & CHICKEN COBB SALAD

Was shopping in the area and decided to stop in for lunch and since I was solo I sat at the bar. It honestly took the bartender about 10 minutes before she acknowledged me, but once she did she was pretty thorough. I ordered 6 Chili Lime wings as a starter which is supposed to be dry rubbed .... those poor wings were so bland and it seemed like whoever was supposed to rub them forgot and just sprinkled like a pinch of the chili lime dust on top of them. The Cobb Salad was massive and pretty tasty. I immediately boxed up half because I knew I wouldn't finish it. All in all I probably won't be back because this was the epitome of mediocrity.

Friendliest service by our waitress, Madison! She made popular recommendations and food was fresh and hot. We were a party of 3. Hubby and I had a couple draft beers, our table ordered chip & white queso, yum! Cheeseburger, loaded fries, and Mimi festa bowl. Everything was delicious!

GO EAGLES!

Ah the infamous Miller's Ale House - the dirty franchise dive bar that exists on a dark alley of many towns. Let's start with the good since that'll be short and sweet. The good is that it's convenient for watching sports - we went here last Sunday to watch the Eagles for Sunday night football. We needed a place where we could find a quick spot on a really busy game day while being as close to the airport as possible since I had a flight to catch right when the game was to end. Now let's move onto the rest. The crowd, or the "regulars" at this location are rowdy, gross, and downright disgusting. There's this one lady who was so obnoxiously loud and screaming at everyone while moving around the bar. I don't even get how they let her be this way but then again, I had to remind myself that we're at Miller's. She's the posterchild of "I didn't get attention as a kid, I'm too old to blatantly ask for it now, so I'm going to throw tantrums and make you notice me" - yuck. Why I bring her up is because her and her crew are apparently there VERY OFTEN. So if you're going there and you're not rooting for her teams, you might get shunned or shuttered by them. We sat far enough on the corner of the main bar but she still shouted 'F* THE EAGLES' when we cheered for our team. Absolutely despicable behavior. As for the food - if you're looking for bar food that's bad for you and you have gallons of water to spare for the rest of the night to soothe your aching tummy, this is your place. The healthiest option is a celery stick that comes with your unhealthy meals. There was only one bartender manning the entire front bar and that's just not sustainable but she was relatively well-mannered. Our flatbread was a greasy mess but we wanted to knosh. The wings were mildly better. The hot sauce isn't hot so if you want spicy, go Nashville Hot. We went to Burton's across the street for our actual meal after the game since my flight got delayed. I'd say I'd never come back to Sterling if I had a choice - and especially NOT this bar.

Boyfriend and I came here for a bite to eat. Food was great. Services was okay. We had a lady who was in training. She was really nice and bubbly and friendly. The lady who was training her however was not vary attentive after her trainee left. We liked everything except for the key lime pie. It had different taste then what we was expecting. But outside of that. Food was good and drinks was great .

Food is OK quality and prices are reasonable if not inexpensive on their specials, like the steak and ribs for only $25. Good flavor and cooked ok but a nice combo for the price. Service is OK with some wait staff being more efficient than others. There were some who knew their customers by name and took time out to talk with them but that slowed down service a little for the rest of us. Nothing too bad but you might wait a bit for refills or something you need after your food or drinks arrive. We had cool fries and it took a bit for the staff to come back to our table to check in the dining room. Similar response time for wait staff outside when we needed condiments that were ordered but didn't come out with our entrees. Cigar menu is an ok selection where there is something for everyone; however, our experience was the place ran out of the first four cigars we selected and each time the wait staff had to come back to our table to tell us they were out of that cigar. Wait staff didn't know what cigars were in stock and which they were out of. Overall, very good experience for both inside the dining area and outside where you can smoke. Recommend The Bungalow Lakehouse as it is a good experience and has a variety of experience options.

The choices were: outside, the sports bar, or the dining room. We chose the dining room. A large group of people was sitting at a table. We were given a booth by the window and right by the server's station. Looking over the menu at home, we both decided that we would get a bacon cheeseburger. The entrees seemed, to us, to be too filling. The bacon cheeseburger consists of: "100% angus burger, apple-wood smoked bacon, vermont white cheddar, canadian cheddar, sliced tomato, and crispy leaf lettuce". We both ordered it cooked medium. The dish comes with fries. To drink, I had ginger ale while my husband had a Heineken 00. Our server was friendly and efficient. He made a mistake, bringing my husband a Coke instead of the beer. My husband corrected him. He apologized and retrieved the correct drink. The burger was dry and overcooked. It was more on the medium well side. In one way, I didn't mind that as I didn't end up with greasy hands or a burger that falls apart. The bacon and the cheese provided some relief from the dryness. The fries came out hot, which we appreciated. All in all, it was an OK experience; we would consider going again sometime.

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is a very, quite spacious and very welcoming. It's right next to a lake and so the setting was lovely. We had an indoor/outdoor room with doors that opened to the outside. I had a raspberry lemon martini with a sugared glass rim. Very nicely presented. They have a very varied menu and they also have a large gluten-free menu. We both had the lobster bisque as a starter and then we both ordered the fish tacos. The soup was filled with lots of lobster meat and was delicious. The fish tacos were made with cod and the waiter mentioned that the slaw had some habanero chile in it. I asked if it was spicy and he said it might have a slight kick, but was not spicy. He was absolutely correct and in fact, if he hadn't mentioned the habanero I would not have picked up on it at all. It was really good. If you order bread, (and you have choices on type), you are charged I think a dollar per order, but that is donated to help people who are food challenged. We were full from our dinner, but we could not pass up an order of key lime pie for dessert, which we shared. It was a hard choice because they had a special dessert which was chocolate peanut-butter pie. I wish we could have had both. Their other desserts also sounded great. By the way, a portion of their revenues from desserts are also donated to help those who need food assistance. I was very impressed that they do that. I want to mention that the wait staff was also great. Friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing. I can't say enough about Sweetwster Tavern. If I find myself in this area again, I will definitely be back.
