Both times, I ended up leaving empty handed because that's the whole reason I came. I was immediately struck by how light, airy, calm and friendly it was. The staff have never been anything other than pleasant and helpful, the decor is cosy but sunny, and the food and drinks are fantastic. I go there maybe once a week now, usually when I need a change of scenery while I'm writing or researching. The menu has so many great options on and I've never had anything there that wasn't delicious...but my personal favourite is the mint lemon tea, 50% sweet and made with Assam black tea. It's refreshing in the California heat and so much healthier than reaching for another can of soft drink. They also serve boba teas, milk teas and everything else you'd expect from a good Vietnamese tea shop. As for the food, they serve banh mi, spring rolls, rice bowls and so on. They also have my great weakness: banh mi fries. Crispy, freshly cooked fries topped with banh mi picked cucumber and carrot, coriander, chilli peppers and spicy sriracha, optionally with your choice of protein - pork belly, in my case - and despite TRYING not to order it every single time...I order it, every single time. 745 1st St Gilroy, CA 95020…read more Yogofino Yogurt in Gilroy is like a one-stop shop for cool refreshment. It's more than just fro-yo. They have frozen yogurt, milk teas, ice cream, and seating inside and outside. I was here on a warm Tuesday afternoon around 5:30pm. I found Yogofino using the Yelp App as a search engine. The name caught my attention because it's very close to "Yogofina," a local fro-yo chain in the SF Eastbay. I don't think it's the same chain. Yogofino Yogurt has alot to offer, including a fair price for fro-yo! August 2025- Price Per Ounce: 79 cents. I've been to several Yogurtlands recently, and their prices are all in the 85-89 cent/oz range. Easy Breezy Yogurt is $1+/ oz now. So what about the frozen yogurt here? Well, they have seven (7) Electro Freeze machines that have no center twist (or swirl) valve. The area around the machines was very clean. The young lady working there was busy cleaning the whole time I was there. I tried: Mango, Pineapple, and Chocolate with some jelly toppings. They have large selection of wet, dry, and liquid toppings. Service was nice and friendly. The pineapple fro-yo had a good flavor. Not much icy bite, or chalkiness. The mango had a milk flavor. I especially liked the chocolate. It was super creamy, almost like a mild soft serve. No chalky after taste or icy bite. It was 85*F, so my fro-yo didn't stay frozen very long. But it did have a very refreshing chill. I would return if I'm in the area again. Free parking in shopping center lot. Near the Cardenas Market and Mountain Mikes Pizza.

Gilroy Noodle House has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Gilroy. I absolutely love this place! The pho is hands down the best in the area. The broth is rich, flavorful, and tastes like it's been simmering for hours. The meat is always fresh and tender, the noodles are cooked perfectly, and every bowl is served hot and full of flavor. It's the kind of comfort food that keeps you coming back. The fresh spring rolls are another favorite of mine. They're always made fresh with crisp vegetables, quality ingredients, and a delicious peanut dipping sauce. Everything I've tried has tasted fresh and homemade. One of the things I appreciate most is how clean the restaurant is every time I visit. The dining area is spotless, the tables are always clean, and the entire restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. The owners are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They truly appreciate their customers and always make you feel welcome. Their employees are just as friendly, polite, and attentive, providing excellent customer service from the moment you walk in. I'm especially happy that Gilroy finally has such an amazing Vietnamese pho restaurant. It's less than a mile from my house, which makes it even more convenient, and it's become one of my regular places to eat. Whether I'm dining in or picking up takeout, the food and service are consistently outstanding. If you're looking for authentic, delicious pho and fresh Vietnamese food in the Gilroy area, look no further than Gilroy Noodle House. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. I believe in giving restaurants a second chance, but my two experiences here were very disappointing. My first meal ended with me getting sick, though the broth itself was passable. I returned hoping for a better experience, but was let down again. During my second visit (takeout), both my chicken and my husband's KBBQ meat were undercooked, which is a major concern. We also found the flavor of the meatball broth to be off. It's a shame, but with two consecutive incidents involving food safety and taste, I don't feel comfortable returning or recommending it to others. read more
