    18. Special oxtail / Đặc Biệt Đuôi Bò

I ordered chicken wings and oxtail pho. Chicken wings came out piping hot! I ate three pieces but the third one had a stintch that I no longer wanted to continue. The pho took way too long to come out. When it did, it was loaded with proteins (meat) but the broth was bland. The oxtail was soft. They did not bring out my condiments (basil, sprouts, etc.,) until I asked for them. They only have a watered down version of siracha hot sauce and "seasoning" soy sauce. You have to ask for chili oil if you want it. Not my cup of tea. I rather drive 30 minutes north for some better tasting food.

Me and my family have been coming here for years and the food is always great! The owner is so nice and the food always come out super fast! I would definitely recommend if you're craving Pho or rice dishes! I'll always come here!

I have been to Vietssia regularly and ordered via Doordash, so I have tried almost everything on their menu. Excellent food! Good, friendly service. The owners always tried their best to ensure the customers had the best experience.

I've had this place a couple of times prior to this review but finally wanted to give recognition to what it deserves. To start off I've had the Chicken Bánh Mì which was an amazing Vietnamese sandwich. It kicks off with a variety of flavors that blend together well. It also has a spicy kick however it is quickly mellowed out from the rest of the sandwich. Every bite I had was one with delight. If there is anyone who is new to Vietnamese food I would recommend this Bánh Mì first. It is unquestionably something you wouldn't regret. As for the second food option I ordered I got the Egg rolls which is sort of what I expected in terms of taste. I would say the to go order presentation is not as nice but it isn't anything to complain about. The egg rolls tasted exactly how you would imagine them and they make for a great appetizer. Definitely a solid option to combine with your main meal if you are on a very hungry stomach. As for the actual restaurant the atmosphere is very quiet but it could be the hours I showed up at. If anything it's perfect if you want to enjoy your food in solitude. The order of food arrives extremely fast which is a massive plus. If you are looking for a solid place of Vietnamese cuisine within the city of Morgan Hill this spot is definitely worth a try.

Spring rolls is a must! This bbq meat inside is delicious!

This place never disappoints us. We came so many times for take out during peak pandemic! First time dining in 2023, there were like 4-5 groups already dining (great to see them busy during the lunch rush) and a couple to go orders. We sat down right away and ordered spring rolls, pho noodle soup and a combination vermicelli. I am in love with the spring rolls here, they have this delicious bbq meat (I think it's beef) inside with the shrimp and lettuce, it reminds me of short ribs/kalbi! Definitely recommend this appetizer. Our other fav appetizer is the chicken wings! The combo vermicelli comes with bbq pork, shrimp and egg rolls. The shrimp was a bit over cooked and eggroll wasn't that good, it was just okay! But the pork!!! Let me say, that was juicy & I need to know what the marination is!!! I'd cook all my meets with this. And the pho I usually get includes steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef balls. Yum yum yum!! I got a small and it was perfect/more than enough food! They include so much noodles!

We ended up coming here on New Year's Day (observed) because our go to place in Morgan Hill was closed. There was plenty of seating. The ambience was kind of strange because there was no music or television playing so you could hear the intimate details of everyone's conversation. I got the veggie pho and it definitely hit the spot on that cold, rainy day. The broth is flavorful but not too salty. Even though the vegetables aren't really seasoned they still tasted good and fresh because of the broth. I wasn't a huge fan of the tofu but it was edible. There was only one person serving/running the restaurant and she did a good job. This wasn't my favorite pho in the area but it works in a pinch.

I really enjoyed the food when I visited six months ago. It's my second time here though and I experienced a real decline in the food, service, and cleanliness. I ordered a rare steak pho. The steak was over cooked, the steak was all crumbles (no strips) and seemed to be leftovers from the previous order. Also, I was able to fit ALL the steak in the bowl onto one spoonful. I couldn't find the server to ask about it because she was in back with the cook socializing. I asked about the spoonful of steak for $14 and she said that's normal. I came in at 12:45pm (lunch hour) on Wednesday (10/2/24) and there were only two other customers, which should've told me something. Too much good Steak Pho out there to come back for a $14 bowl of noodles.

Vermicelli bowl grilled chicken and grilled shrimp. With a crunchy egg roll I substitute veggies it's usually pork

We decided on Vietnamese food today after having a long day. This restaurant came up so we decided to give it a try. The food was refreshing and delicious . We both had the vermicelli with pork and shrimp. But I substituted the pork for chicken since I don't eat pork, it was lovely bowl of food. I ordered a lemonade and requested it less sweet. It was perfect and if you know lemonade a Vietnamese restaurant makes the best. We are definitely Coming back.

    Egg rolls, special rice

I was in the mood for Chinese Food and this place popped up. So now I know there is no comparison to Chinese Food. I ordered the special rice thinking it was fried rice and also the egg rolls. The eggrolls were ok, but didn't taste like or look like there was any pork inside. When I opened the rice I was kind of surprised when I saw a few different things not put together. The beef had a really good flavor. But that was about it. A lil pricey at $30 for what I got.

    Ox tail pho
    Jina M.

Tasty pho with a full flavored broth that isn't really sweet. Lots of meat! Lots of noodles! Only $1 more for the large size, so definitely go for that. The ox tail pho, #18 is our favorite. You get a separate bowl with some broth and a piece of ox tail! Soooo good! Will definitely be back. 4.5/5 but rounding up to 5. Only bit of critique is that the garbage in women's bathroom should be emptied more frequently, the stainless steel paper towel dispenser be wiped down, and the annoying faucet that sprays thin sprays of water everywhere be swapped out. I strongly believe the cleanliness of the bathroom reflect the cleanliness of the food...because how clean can the food be if the people preparing and serving the food can't appropriately or easily maintain hand hygiene?!

Hidden gem of Morgan Hill. The pho here is probably the best in the area. I got the Veggie pho and the produce was very fresh.

I usually order their Wagyu pho, and the broth is rich and flavorful with really tender meat. They also have nuoc beo (fatty broth) available, which makes the pho even richer if you like that extra flavor. On top of that, their fresh juices are really good and a great addition to the meal. Coming from Westminster in the OC then moving to San Jose, those two areas I was always around viet food so coming to this place I tried to give it some leeway since I know since moving to Morgan hill there is not many places to gather Vietnamese ingredients to cook at home The banh mi itself needs work. The baguette came out pretty dry. For their selection, it seems like they try to add multiple variations of banh mi meats into one rather than the way other banh mi places do specific meats per each sandwich. (Thịt nướng , chả lụa, heo quay) The pate and mayonnaise were lacking. The đồ chua or picked daikon and carrots were kind of lackluster. That being said it seems like one of the few places to get banh mi in Morgan hill, I do feel that they should not be charging such premium price for their sandwiches. If it was cheaper then I wouldn't be so harsh as "you get what you pay for". Not the case here

We tried a few different items and everything looked so good presentation-wise. I got the Hidden Dragon Lemonade with mango popping boba, and not only was it super pretty, but it was really refreshing. The sweetness was actually just right, and the lemonade balanced everything out perfectly. The popping boba added a nice burst of flavor too. My husband got the Fruiti Tuti, and one thing we really liked is that you can customize it with a good amount of toppings. He was able to pick a variety without feeling limited, which made it fun to build exactly how he wanted. They're pretty generous with toppings compared to other places. We also tried the Mango Madness (non-dairy), which I really appreciated since they offer options for lactose sensitivity. The texture was smooth and creamy, and the mango flavor stood out--especially with the drizzle and graham cracker crumbs. The inside is super cute and aesthetic--there's a neon "Snowee Rolls" sign with angel wings and a wall full of sticky notes, which makes it fun and picture-worthy. Ordering was easy since everything is done on an iPad, and the service was quick--we only waited about 10 minutes for our items to come out, and they brought everything out to us. Overall, I can see why my husband recommended it--I'd definitely come back. Definitely will be coming back again to try more non-dairy items on the menu!
