Large portions of standard Vietnamese fare in a no-frills setting. While the flavors are exactly as you'd expect (a good thing!), service could be improved. Our server never checked on us again after taking our order (another staff member dropped off our Vermicelli Noodle Bowls), and completely forgot our Milk Tea. Even after tracking him down to remind him, he didn't get it to our table until we were nearly finished eating, so we ended up taking it to go.

Haven't ordered this crispy noodles for yrs. It's a good thing I did & everyone enjoyed it. Definitely going to order it again

Came here to get something to keep me warm. Yes soup called pho! Service is fast. The place is small but Smokey. Came out smelling like fried food. But their food is good. Just take a look at my images.

Authentic Vietnamese food out in Gilroy. Good sized interior dining room that was clean. Had the bun thit nuong (grilled pork over vermicelli rice noodles). The grilled pork was very flavorful and the noodle bowl was large. They also have Boba drinks. I tried a Matcha and it was only average. Not great service as there was one guy making the drinks, manning the cash register, and attending to the dining room. But overall, a great healthier option if you're on a road trip passing through the area.

    Delicious!

Delicious! Would recommend this place to anyone. Cravings satisfied. Next to try is their Pho!

Came for the pho and it was okay, but lackluster compared to other pho spots in town. We also ordered a couple of egg rolls that were pretty good. We were greeted (presumably) by the owner who seemed personable and happy to host his customers, it gave the restaurant a welcoming and hospitable vibe. The food was fine but the prices did NOT reflect the quality. I will come back if I need to get something that is open later in the evening -- unlike the other pho spots in town-- but I think I'll try a different dish next time!

We were in Gilroy and craving for noodles and soup similar to tung kee, but we didnt want to go to tung kee gilroy location. Stumbled upon this gem. Such friendly staff and they really catered to us. Fresh lemon water, extensive menu, and they have mill teas too! They absolutely give huge portions and they didnt hold back on the amount of meat/ingredients! Perfect saltiness and the noodles werent overcooked. Cant wait to go back and try other menu items!

This is our favorite go-to-place whenever we visit Gilroy. Fast and friendly service. Ambiance is okay. And food was great! We got the wonton soup, it tastes flavorful especially with the crispy fried garlic on it. Pork BBQ was very tender and tasty. Also, one of my favorites was the dipping sauce with the fresh veggies. It was absolutely delicious and addictive!

The food here is good. We had the Pho Tai and Pork chop rice plate. Pho was flavorful and the beef was soft and good quality. Service was good and the owner was tentative to customers and friendly! The wall of $1 bills was quite an interesting added bonus

This is my go-to when im in Gilroy, but yesterday was a disappointment for myself. I ordered a wonton noodle soup, with only chicken as a protein and asked if the wontons had shrimp I was told NO 2x but come to find out they did have shrimp and they also added so much beef into my soup (which I don't like) I ended up picking out so much food from my soup. I also ordered some pork spring rolls and that was a disappointment as well the pork meat was so bland, it wasn't even grilled. I will just stick to my chicken pho

So, after I got my SMOG certificate done, I decided to get some Vietnamese food. Thus, I got on my trusty YELP app and did a search. This place came up and figured I'd give it a try. I ordered the "Rice Vermicelli w/BBQ pork & egg roll $16.65. Pretty good and VERY filling! The egg roll was cook well, crispy but it kind of tasty doughy so kind of let down. Anyways, it's a cozy mom and pop's kind of place so give them a try and support your local small business! Also, their restroom was decent which is a fair reflection of the establishment. The waitress was nice as she served a Hispanic couple next to me trying to practice her Espanyol! Muy bien. This is nice here in California when people of different ethnicities try to practice or learn other languages.

Great service, but some dishes are way to greasy. My to-go order chow mein with veggies had a gallon of grease. It was like a grease soup.

I like how the vegetables were soft but not mushy and over cooked or drenched in oil. Last night I almost ordered the tamarind baby back ribs. Since I am staying away from pork, I went with the waitress's recommendation of sizzling beef with red bell pepper. Excellent! We came here for the pad thai and it was so ordinary. I should not trust a person who doesn't like seafood. How am I going to share a meal with someone that doesn't eat fish? My whole protein diet is based on fish and red meat. You come here to drink Thai Tea with extra cream not a shot of whiskey for $6.00. It was a good business meeting but I am going to have to come back here with someone who really enjoys food. This is the second time I have gone to eat with someone who kind of ruined the experience of a new restaurant for me. It is not their fault. I had a headache and now I have a low tolerance for people who are not on the same vibe as me.

As an Asian person myself, I respect the hustle because I know restaurant life is hard and they probably deal with all kinds of customers daily. That being said, you can definitely feel the difference between locations. The Fremont location has always felt warmer, friendlier, and more relaxed. Maybe it's the location or the type of customers they deal with, I'm not sure, but the Gilroy location gave a much more controlling vibe that I personally didn't like. At other TK locations, they usually let customers pack their own condiments or freely grab what they need. Here, everything felt very monitored and limited. We ordered two dishes and only got tiny amounts of chili oil and toppings. I even accidentally grabbed an extra straw because my drink straw was already packed in the bag, but honestly the overall vibe made me assume they probably forgot it. The way she looked at me after mentioning it made the interaction feel awkward, like I did something wrong over a straw. I understand restaurants are trying to save money because everything is expensive now, and they probably deal with customers taking too much. I get it. But the overall vibe just came across as overly strict and cheap to me personally. Even paying extra for pork grinds felt weird because instead of putting it in a separate container so I could actually see the portion, they just tossed it into the bowl. I also asked for the rice to be packed separately so it wouldn't get soggy by the time my husband got home, and it felt like I was asking for too much. The food itself was still really good, which is why this review is disappointing to write. This is the closest TK to my house, so I genuinely hope they stay open and do well. I just hope the customer service becomes a little warmer and less controlling when it comes to condiments and small requests. Not trying to bash an Asian-owned business at all -- just being honest as someone who's been eating TK for years. I'd still come back for takeout because the food is solid. I did kill my soup at home tho!
