I love tk Noodle. This is part of a major chain. I've been eating tk since the early 90's. There od only 1 tk Noodle now in Gilroy.

It's been years since I've eaten at TK noodle (different location), and I'm so glad my party and I found this while on the road. They still serve my favorite dish I've enjoyed since High school days, combination crispy noodles plate. My kids also enjoyed their fried rice and noodles. I have to say this TK is the saddest one I have EVER been to. No small saucers at the table and missing hoisin sauce and hot sauce. No water served. I had to ask (just about everything, including sitting down when we came in). SERIOUSLY? Do they not want customers to come back? By the way, I feel like I'm at a taqueria not a TK noodle house with traditional Mexican music blasting on the overhead speaker. I am not pleased. I have gone to TK for YEARS. First time customer here! My bf and I went just now and had a terrible experience. Woman working was rude, no merry Christmas no words except for payment. Asked us to go to the front to order for dine in, but when others ordered they were sitting down already. When we sat down and was eating, we need extra lemons or extras, but no one came by to check on us. So, as a first time customer I wilL NOT be coming back. The food was burnt, portions were small, compared to other TK noodles. The rudeness and the lack of friendliness. I don't remind this place. read more

Beef stew vermicelli and taro boba. Stew had good color, but lacked flavor. Nice part was they had all the trimmings so was able to make it flavorful with plum sauce, chili sauce and lots of salt. Simple spot, simple seating with adequate service. read more

I have been coming to this establishment for many years now and I totally plan to come back here again and again. Mostly because it's a quick and easy and satisfying meal and I actually do enjoy the food here. Here's why I'm giving it only three stars. I think it would be just nice if they would clean the shrimp a little bit more. The shrimp is not deveined. Also, the ambiance is rather mid. It's just not a very pretty place to eat at. Also the service is a bit mid as well. It's not bad. But it's not stellar either. Nevertheless, most of the time when I come here the food is good and I'm left with a satisfied belly. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, did they seriously just serve me my coconut drink and a paper coffee shop this time? Usually I get it at a lease in a glass. I found that a little strange. But yet it tasted good and I loved it. This place would easily get five stars from me if the ambiance was nicer and they went a little further more with their service and they cleaned out their shrimps and please go back to serving my coconut drink in an actual glass. Sort of old and divey but the service is good, the food comes out fast and hot, and the food hits the spot. The won ton soup was good. Fairly sized won tons in a nice clear broth. Combination noodle soup also good though nothing to rave about. The egg fried taro root is a dish we have eaten at TK Noodle years ago. I want to support local business and give them the benefit of the doubt. At the same time I have to give you guys honest feedback to allow you to decide whether you want to visit this establishment. So here's why they are 2 stars. The food is fine. Their pork rice plate is probably the best value and taste great for the simpler folks. My #1 noodles is fair, but not great. We asked for extra pork skin which all of the other TK places I go to gladly give you the pork skin in a small bowl. They add a lot of flavor to their noodle soups. They did not. The staff there also didn't look like they want to be there. They certainly didn't want to help us or the takeout customers with any requests other than the standard ordering and payment. When I wanted to help them by getting something from their amenities table, he snapped at me mumbling something. I hope the older gentleman was just having a bad day. We all have them. He wasn't very nice or friendly. We came on a Saturday around 10am so maybe he hasn't had his morning coffee or his work-a-bees didn't show up and he had to do the dirty work. Who knows. read more

Insanely overpriced basic Ramen noodles. my bowl was $16.50 and it came out to over $20 with some weird dollar surcharge on it. The receipt does not show taxes the purchase breakdown and I feel like she just arbitrarily added money on there without updating their menu price.Not even even close to worth it for slightly better than home Ramen noodles,never coming back. I have been coming to Tung Kee noodles since I was 11 years old. Mainly in east side San Jose. But this Tung Kee in Gilroy is ruining the name of this long time chain restaurant. People come to your restaurant for your good and service. Under staff or not, you don't force your customers to take the food that you wrote down the wrong order and that look at them rudely by sending the food back. And normally you put all your condiments on the table and all your sauces. That day there was no Chili oil on all the table so I as three times and nothing is givin. I have to stand up and get it myself. I order extra soup and after 10 minutes I have to walk up to the cook and pour one in the bowl for me. And the Hispanic gentleman that was the only one working hard was getting yelled at in the restaurant. Who ever is running this place should be replace. read more

The noodles are oily greasy flavorless ... topped by flavorless vegetables and (in my case) shrimp. I got it to go with husband... we had to add our own seasoning (they didn't even salt the noodles). I could only eat the flavorless veggies and unseasoned shrimp off the top of the horrible greasy noodles that were partially stuck together in one large oily mass. I did not eat the noodles. Husband got the combination noodles; he too found it greasy stuck together, unseasoned, and completely flavorless. I ordered the fresh strawberry drink ... tasted like ice. Not a single flavor note of a strawberry at all. I'm not sure what happened but it was like drinking crushed ice. First and last time trying this place. Will never go again! You definitely feel like you're an inconvenience being a customer here, at least for me- from an employee in pjs exasperated that customers came in to fussing over a speaker for music being more important than anything else. There was just one older gentleman that tried to take our order with minimal English, worked out getting the number of the items from the menu. The older gentleman was hustling around getting everything clean and etc, got us water bottles that were chilled (that I can appreciate). Condiments were fairly empty, but the older gentleman was getting what he could. I used to be a huge fan of TK and was so upset when the one at Southland Mall (Hayward) closed. It's the one place that I could always count on getting a good bowl of noodles and fried flour cake (Bánh bột chiên). Also, I've always been that one person that doesn't add hoisin/sriracha to the soup, always on the side to enjoy the broth as is. The wait to order was a bit and a bit more for food to arrive. We were really hungry from a long day, so anything would really taste good at this point... but sadly was mistaken. The broth for #3 was watery and oily, hoisin was actually needed to have some. In the soup: meat was tough, the shrimp tasted off and the wonton had hard bits while being bland as well... wasn't pleasant to bite into. I felt bad I wasted food, but couldn't stomach much. #24, the portion size was generous and loaded with veggies - as expected and was good to satisfy a hungry tummy. As for the bánh bột chiên/fried flour cake, the egg was concentrated on a few pieces and a few others were burnt to a crisp. The flavor of the sauce was what made the whole dish, not half bad at least. This mostly was the saving grace for the meal. With the price being about $50 for 3 items, it seems prices have gone up a bit while quality has gone down hill (per bf as he used to come frequently). As for the bathroom, wet used toilet papers were just shoved in corners with no liners... at least the restaurant area was decently clean/empty. Final Thoughts: Yay food poisoning that night onto the next day, that wasn't fun. Definitely a no go for me anymore...at least this location for TK, especially for the lack of care shown. read more

Some of our favorites are: #27 combination #26 fried rice #5 beef stew rice noodle and/or #11 beef stew noodle The beef stew is super tender fall off the bone goodness (good source of collagen), with soy sauce, chili garlic oil, and jalapeño dipping sauce. Came on a Sunday morning with 2 people. You have to order first at the register then the lady will tell you where to be seated. Ordered a #8 which is a combination noodle soup (yellow noodles). This place has gone down hill. I don't believe they're affiliated with the other TK noodles because the flavor was different. Very different I had to doctor up my soup a lot. Even the wife thought the same. The waiter maybe said two words To us. I know because he never offered us any drinks. Also, when did they decide to jack up the prices? Went there with my kids, husband and friends, food as always good, although the service was the Worst, we asked the lady that took our orders that she gave us the wrong order, they gave my friend my order and didn't notice until after. I noticed my food was the "Wrong order" and given after he had already prepped his plate as I was telling her my order was wrong my friend had already prepped his plate and had his spoon in the air getting ready to take a bite mind you they are at a different table because their was multiple of us, she goes to his plate and takes it from him to show to me and talk loud at me, I sat their in awe, who does that, take a plate and spoon out of someones mouth to show me she took the orders correctly, she then told the guy giving the food out good knows what. so they "fixed my soup" and brought it back. i added all condiments and stuff I wanted to my soup to find bean sprouts, which I did not want in my soup! slap to my forehead, I hate being negative nancy but it was multiple mistakes and wrong food, and on top of that the poop attitude, I had it!!! i asked for the manager, who came out which I doubt was the manager as she kept insisting he is not here. he came out, deducted the 2 soups from our bill, and apologized for her attitude. that's all he could do, we appreciated him and told him we are often visitors and love their food but always think about going just because she is just soooo rude read more

Gosh, I was so disappointed. The first thing I noticed is the seating in the store was a bit odd with some tables strangely close to each other. Had to choose carefully because of COVID, but I was willing to overlook that for some great authentic food. We ordered at the counter and waited 15 minutes for the first item to come out. Then 15 minutes for the second item. Then 20 more minutes for the third item. We could see the chefs making and plating the food, but its like they were too understaffed to have waiters actually bring the food to our table? The beef stew noodle was bland and the chow fun was cold and lacked flavor. The only redeeming factor was that the fried egg flour cake was nicely crispy. But the sauce it came with had a strange ratio of vinegar to soy sauce that was way too acidic. Lastly, not sure if the menu prices were accurate because they charged us more than expected. Only indoor dining but people were spaced out pretty well. It skips a table in between tables. Came here around 12 and it was kind of busy. There were two tables open so we were seated right away. So you have to order at the cashier. We didn't know until the male staff in the front told us. The food came out really fast. I ordered the combination with egg noodles with soup. When it came out, the soup was on the side. Not sure if I wasn't clear or something. I brought the bowl back to him and told him if I could get soup in it and he still let me. Phew! The broth was really light and tasted healthy. I wasn't thirsty when I finished the food so it probably didn't have much msg. TK holds a special place in my heart. I usually visit the Sacramento location but was randomly in Gilroy as we headed back home from Pismo. This location is in a pretty big plaza that has.... Nothing. Lol it's right next door to the outlets but that plaza definitely could be put to better use. This is a smallish location compared to their other ones. You go up to the register to order, sit and eat, then go back up to the register to pay. Not a fan of that system at all. I had to wait in a line just to pay after waiting in line to order the first time... a bit of a waste of time if you ask me. The food is homey and simple. No extra bells and whistles but it sure does hit the spot! My go to is the # 3 with wontons and noodles. Prices have gone up a lot over the years. For two bowls of noodles and two water bottles (no free ice water), it came out to $27 and change. You can't go wrong with the egg and flour cake! I recommend ordering that on the side to share. It comes with a sweet and savory dipping sauce, so yummy. There isn't much food selection but the outlets. It's either this or in n out. If you need something a little more filling than a burger, check this place out! read more

This place makes me miss Tung-Kee noodle that was on 10th street. This place is horrible. We tried it finally today after missing the food from Tung Kee. There is absolutely no flavor in any of the food we got. We got the chow fun, that literally just tasted like oil like all other negative reviews says, fried rice and beef ball soup. I couldn't eat through it without my stomach hurting as all I tasted was oil. The chow fun noodles were just mainly white, with no sauce or anything either. It was just bad. I wish I took a picture of it. It was close to $60 for 3 plates. Talk about a rip off for the quality we got. And yes don't expect good customer service , but usually these types of places you don't get the anyways. I won't be back. read more

Support local businesses while you can! Although they got my order wrong, I'm giving a higher review due to their customer service and accommodating me past normal business hours. I ordered number six combination but received number one. Their current hours of operation are 9 AM to 7 PM. I was following yelp hours and called at 6:57 PM for pick up. The woman politely asked how soon I plan on arriving since they close very soon. Fortunately I was able to get there within 10 minutes to pick up my dinner! We have been going to the TK Noodle over in the Target shopping center, in Gilroy, for years. An impromptu trip to Home Depot and a gurgling stomach landed us in this shopping center. We saw King Eggroll on the way in but upon entering the parking lot noticed it was closed. So we made a u-turn and on our way out before we were about to turn left to exit what was right in front of us as if the heavens opened up and shone their light down uponst us? TK NOODLE! Large parking lot = ample parking. It was a Tuesday, we walk in and there is literally only 2 other people dining. We were immediately greeted and told we could sit wherever we liked as the hostess grabbed a few menus for us. You have your choice of booths or table seating. We chose a booth, near a window. We typically know what we want coming into TK. My husband with his large #9, everything but the kitchen sink yellow noodle soup (not what they call it, it's what I call it). This time around though instead of my small duck curry soup with flat white noodle (typically comes with the thinner noodle) I opted for their combination chow fun (dry; I don't like mine soupy). Meat was tender, noodles had sopped up all that sauce goodness, veggies still had a bite to them...just delicious and totally satisfied my appetite and palate. We are quite pleased. Maybe 3 other patrons came in after we did to dine in and order take out. I liked it a little better than the one over in the Target shopping center because I didn't feel like herded cattle coming in. The place has a quiet ambiance to it and they also played some music on low (sounded like 102.5, which was funny because the only two employees in there were older and asian). Place was clean, the kitchen is in plain view and not hidden behind a door which was nice because you could see how clean they kept it and could very well watch them make your food if you so chose. There's apparently a casino in the same shopping center so if you didn't spend all your money at the outlets and need to work up an appetite before visiting you could hit that place up. I gotta hand it to TK noodle. I was originally going to give a three - but hear me out why I gave a four. I was in the area shopping and needed a quick lunch that was cheap and fast. Most options by the outlets are fast food, and then I remembered TK noodle and decided to give it a shot. Its been about a decade since my last time having it, but there's something about going in that feels like I was transported to the late 2000's again. The same order (fried rice and beef noodle bowl) and we walked our food over to a table and bench not too far away. Exactly the same flavor - the rich, hearty beef noodle bowl with springy, chewy egg noodles and fried rice that paired perfectly to scarf down. My gf hadn't had it before and was surprised by how good it was for the cost - and I have to agree. A three isn't bad by any means, but this place (for me at least) is still consistent after so many years. Support this place, help them survive and help bridge experiences for years to come. I'll want some beef noodles again at some point - except I hope it'll be while sitting in a booth inside. read more

From being ignored, to not being asked what I'd like to drink and having to walk up to the front counter to ask for a drink to having our food thrown on the table and the waitress talking to someone else and ignoring my mom and I. It wasn't even busy so I do t know why I received this kind of service. As a business I would reevaluate who you have representing your company, because this was disrespectful and embarrassing.
