Been going here for years now, and every time, the food is delicious, the service is amazing, the kitchen is speedy, and the restaurant is cozy and comfortable, yet efficient and modern. It's one of our favorite places. The pho is wonderful and the bahn mi is delicious. The crust in the bread I had today might have been one of the best I've ever had. The owner is super sweet, and personable. They have a self-ordering kiosk machine as you enter, that allows you to pay without having to deal with a person (haha) I ordered the shrimp noodle soup with a strawberry milkshake. Ambience is pretty basic but clean. It does get a little chilly depending on where you sit because they leave the door open (depending on time of year). You order yourself at the kiosk and grab a number then sit down and they bring food to you. They also have a good variety of boba drinks and toppings. The only thing is that I don't recommend add on proteins because you get plenty in the bowl already and it's somewhat pricey for just a few extra pieces. Overpriced, and doesn't taste homemade whatsoever -- as well as MANY young, and inattentive staff (only myself and another table were being served). Raw steak was overcooked in my soup, (when the soup arrived at the table) attempts to mix Vietnamese and American culture results in steak being the main meat in almost every pho dish, (their one chicken-based pho still being the most popular) . Not much to say on the "ambiance" Same decor as crumble just light teal and some red tassels, occasional Vietnamese music followed up by an hour of pop. I think the reviews on this restaurant are swayed by those who came and enjoyed food with their friends (rating their experience over food), and more fun towards them! I was super reluctant to go to this restaurant because the people that were here before had a terrible establishment. But since this new management has taken over, this place is absolutely fabulous. I ordered the grilled pork with egg rolls and vermicelli noodles and it was so incredibly fresh and tasty. The vegetables were crispy and delicious. My only thing I would say about this place is the egg rolls had a bit of a strange consistency for the filling. But nevertheless they were still rather good. I look forward to coming back to Watsonville to eat here again. I definitely want to try the soup next time. It is one of those establishments where you place your order on a screen and they just bring the food to you. So I don't really have much to say about the service as there's not a lot of interaction.
