Been going here for years now, and every time, the food is delicious, the service is amazing, the kitchen is speedy, and the restaurant is cozy and comfortable, yet efficient and modern. It's one of our favorite places. The pho is wonderful and the bahn mi is delicious. The crust in the bread I had today might have been one of the best I've ever had. The owner is super sweet, and personable. What a pleasant surprise that we found good pho during our family beach vacation 10 of us met here for dinner, the place is clean, spacious and easy to find. We ordered using the kiosk which is easy, food started coming within minutes. All of the orders were well received, the fried egg rolls were crispy with very tasty shrimp and pork filling, definitely one of the best. It's right across the street from the gym that I go to, so it's very convenient and tailor made for the quick, value. They have a self-ordering kiosk machine as you enter, that allows you to pay without having to deal with a person (haha) I ordered the shrimp noodle soup with a strawberry milkshake. This has become a MUST stop whenever we are in the area. Even if it means deviating a little just to eat here. They have the best Pho and such large portions. Staff is friendly. Ambience is pretty basic but clean. It does get a little chilly depending on where you sit because they leave the door open (depending on time of year). You order yourself at the kiosk and grab a number then sit down and they bring food to you. They also have a good variety of boba drinks and toppings. The only thing is that I don't recommend add on proteins because you get plenty in the bowl already and it's somewhat pricey for just a few extra pieces. Santa Cruz doesn't do Pho well, you have to go over the hill in the Valley to get the good stuff, but this is our go-to place for pho & Vietnamese food, all the way in Watsonville. I typically order the chicken pho & we share a side of egg rolls (very meaty and worthwhile ordering). Their pho broth tastes better later in the day but they always give you plenty of bean sprouts and basil for your pho. I don't care for any of the pho in Capitola or Santa Cruz, they don't make the chicken right (who boils chicken?! Other restaurants that offer pho are lazy as other places use their chicken that they just boiled and we all know boiled chicken tastes rubbery & ick! Not here, they do it right, their stock is made with love & experience. The place is clean, efficient (automated kiosks) and the food is fast. The portion is good and again we really like their egg rolls, they're substantial & hold up to the dipping test. You can request for more chili oil, you can always tell a good Vietnamese restaurant by their smoked chili oil... when they don't have it and give you hoisin sauce, forget about it, come here for Vietnamese food this side of the hill. read more

They are obviously trying to pay as little attention as possible to satisfying the customer. The place is extremely boring and the experience like a cheap cafeteria. I ordered BBQ on top of vermicelli for around 16 dollars. It was served promptly and I was surprised how massive the serving was. Way too much food. I would have preferred half of the quantity and half the price. I saw lots of people taking leftovers to go. I do not really like leftovers and couldn't take the leftovers to go as I was traveling. The place is kept really clean although I noticed the napkins on the table were spotted with some stains. I'd prefer not having them and the cutlery on the table exposed to each person sitting there. Especially because some guy sat at the table next to me and kept coughing without covering his mouth. People like that can contaminate otherwise clean cutlery and napkins. I was really uncomfortable with him coughing that actually moved my seat in the middle of eating. Spacious place with a high ceiling. I was super reluctant to go to this restaurant because the people that were here before had a terrible establishment. But since this new management has taken over, this place is absolutely fabulous. I ordered the grilled pork with egg rolls and vermicelli noodles and it was so incredibly fresh and tasty. The vegetables were crispy and delicious. My only thing I would say about this place is the egg rolls had a bit of a strange consistency for the filling. But nevertheless they were still rather good. I look forward to coming back to Watsonville to eat here again. I definitely want to try the soup next time.
