I ordered the BBQ pork and shrimp vermicelli noodles plus the spicy chicken wings as an appetizer -- both were delicious. Honestly, I would've ordered another round of wings if my noodles hadn't come out so fast. The vermicelli bowl was packed with flavor, and I really loved the sauces mixed in. One of the most frustrating experiences I've had at a restaurant. The posted hours clearly say they close at 8 PM, yet I showed up at 7:23 PM and was told the dining room was already closed and that I could only order takeout. How does that make any sense? If you're no longer seating customers before 8, then your hours need to reflect that instead of misleading people. To make matters worse, on another day I tried calling in a takeout order and was put on hold for over 9 minutes after being asked to please hold. I even posted a photo above showing exactly how long I was left on hold, and no one ever came back to answer the line or take my order. I finally hung up, called back, and it went straight to voicemail by then it was past the cutoff time to order. Extremely unprofessional and a complete waste of time. If you advertise takeout, answer your phone. If you close your dining room early, be honest about your actual hours. The lack of communication and poor service here is unacceptable. read more

Located in a large plaza with a Grocery Outlet and Dollar Tree, there's plenty of parking to be had. We came on Sunday around 11:30am, and there was even a small farmers market on the corner of the lot. The restaurant is tucked away in the far right corner, you have to walk past Grocery Outlet and Dollar Tree into a small alleyway/inlet and you'll see it on the back right. Seated immediately, we were handed menus and water quickly. My 4 year old wanted chow mein, but also wanted fried rice. I wanted neither of those options, and since we were on a mini Mommy & Me getaway trip, we couldn't bring back leftovers. So here I am, not sure how I was going to balance out what he wanted vs. sucking it up and eating what he wanted. Then I noticed that every entree came with the choice of white rice or fried rice (no added charge), and you can add extras like chow mein for $3. No way?! A mom's dream come true because then I could treat myself to a traditional pho, score! When my son's plate came, it was a heaping mountain of food. It was wild. It was clear we were in no way able to finish it between the two of us, let alone just him. And we had ordered a regular size (how huge is a large portion?!?! I need to know). While the sweet and sour chicken was a bit on the tougher drier side, the flavor was excellent and definitely added a lot of umami to his noodles and rice below. My pho definitely hit the spot and this makes for a very happy mama. You pay at the cash register in the back, and we were basically in and out within 30 min. My son ate almost all the noodles and a decent amount of rice and chicken, and if you're a mom of a young kid, you will understand how much joy and relief that brings. 12 year update. It's better than I remembered A whole star better. My first pick for lunch was closed and just driving by. Glad we did. We ordered a couple of dry noodle bowls and an order of shrimp spring rolls. All three items were good, all had flavor and were full. Service was excellent. We were told a 15 minute wait that was more like 5. Our appetizer and bowls hit the table in just a few minutes after we ordered them and they were perfectly hot. With all the noodle competition out there the Noodle Bar stands true. They could use a service day to touch up the paint in some places, there clean but general maintenance is a thing. Decided to try this restaurant on a last minute change of plans, I must say I was very happy to have had those change in plans. For starters, it's a small location but filled with great artwork and plenty of seating to fill the place up. I loved the variety of selections from their menu but ultimately went with their Beef Pho. My goodness, it was so flavorful and balanced perfectly with the noodle to meat ratio. We also tried one pork & one veggie egg roll, they were equally as delicious and not too greasy which was perfect. Also decided on a shrimp spring roll, very refreshing and light to balance out the egg rolls. Our server was very kind and even notified when there would be a server change because of lunch breaks, I appreciated that information. It was a smooth process as we called the order in and they informed it would be ready in 20 minutes. As we entered the restaurant, we could see it was pretty packed for a Friday evening. We were happy to see business was continuing to thrive. When we paid, our food was ready but there was a bit of a wait for the 3 drinks we ordered. I wonder if there's a system of having multiple staff members on drinks that would help ease the process of getting them out more quick. Excellent service paired with handmade, quality, authentic Vietnamese food makes Noodle Bar Marina a must visit. I may be biased as I have been frequenting Noodle Bar for over 15 years, both in Seaside (before there was a second location) and Marina. The spring rolls are bomb and fresh and the peanut dipping sauce (I add a little chili oil to mine) are a great way to start. I'm not a boba fan but they have all the flavors and boba fans rave about the boba here. The wife gets the chicken pho every time and I get the bbq pork with fried rice every time. Well we finally tried Noodle Bar! After hearing nothing but good about this place we got take out. He got BBQ Pork with noodles. I had the Dry Noodle bowl with beef We split regular sized Won Ton Soup. Regular size is plenty for 2 people for 2 meals! We loved it! Food was ready in 10 minutes. For a Vietnamese restaurant, I think it could have been much better. I'm not even sure if it was meant to be Vietnamese since they also serve chow mein and chow fun. On the positive side, the staff seem very hard working and try to keep things going along during rushes. It's a very small place so it can get full easily. We luckily got seated immediately since we agreed to sit at the side bar instead of a table. One thing I noticed was that you're immediately given forks instead of chopsticks which threw me off. For the food though, I appreciate that they give you all the bean sprouts and herbs to go with it. However, the pho was not the best. I got the rare beef pho and the broth wasn't hot enough to cook all the meat so some were still a bit red. We got a Combination Pho, a Lemongrass Chili Chicken Dry Noodle bowl and a BBQ pork dry noodle bowl. Along with some pork fried egg rolls (spring rolls). The food was good and tasty. Our second time here..and it's been a few years. We ordered the Dry Noodles bowls of lemongrass chicken and lemongrass beef. Visually, our bowls looked appetizing and mouthwatering. The beef was soft and well seasoned. The chicken was delicious and hot. But as it cooled the chicken became tough and chewy. I was also surprised to see the noodles were short like pasta and not long strands which is a big NO in Asian cuisine. Service was friendly and our wait staff were knowledgeable and polite. A spot with explosive flavors. I just knew based off the inside this spot would be banging. Typical hole in the wall gem with a large menu. The Sweet and Sour Pork was different than most spots. Located in a strip mall it's very easy to miss it as it's a very small footprint. We dropped in around 2:30pm last Thursday after a round of golf. We had to leave our name as all the tables were taken. Mostly tables for two. We were party of four. Just two booths that fit four. Our wait was short. We asked if they had any local beer. They had Hazy IPA canned beer from Dust Bowl. We all went with that. We started with appetizers- * pork and shrimp spring rolls - this was ok. The rice wrapped seemed tough to me. And the roll itself was small. * catfish nuggets with sautéed onions and jalapeños - this was very good. Squares of catfish in a very light batter and deep fried. No wonder friends said make sure you get the catfish. Came with Thai chili sauce. We each ordered something different to eat. I tend to order the vermicelli noodle if on the menu. The dry noodle bowl without any greens in the dish looked interesting. I ordered BBQ pork and shrimp noodle bowl. It was very saucy. I added the usual sauce that comes with dry noodles. Then it became too wet. I ate half and the rest in a box. I had it later the same evening. As popular as the place is I thought the food average with the exception of the catfish nuggets. Service is amazing here and the cook is awesome. We had Lemongrass chicken and Sweet & Sour. Excellent blend of flavors, balanced and delicious. Chicken was white meat, my fav. (We came across a couple of little chicken fat/tendon pieces but no biggie, we loved the meal and experience anyway). This Vietnamese spot was bustling with nice, comfortable booth seating. My mom and I ordered take out to bring back to a friend's place. I was excited to see that they had Eggnog shake. I asked for it with boba, but it came without unfortunately. It did come with a green candy cane though. The shake was wonderfully thick, creamy, smooth, and had such delightful, rich eggnog flavor. For my meal, I chose the noodles with pork and shrimp. There were plenty of sauces that came with it, which helped enhance the taste of the noodles, since they were quite bland. The pork was well seasoned, but not as tender as I would have liked. Shrimp was juicy and succulent, but there were only 2 pieces, so not really worth it to pay extra for it.
