Stopped by while working in the area. Restaurant seemed very busy with takeout orders. Good idea to call before going. I ordered BBQ chicken wings with rice. Dish was delicious and very reasonable price. Chicken had the taste of bbq along with maybe soy sauce and sautéed onions on top. Service is great and small restaurant kept clean.

Soooo I do recommended the lemongrass tofu but everyone else loved their food. The dry noodles bowl is basically a vermicelli plate complete with salad. I got the lemon grass tofu version but all the sauce leaked out and I was truly left with a dry dish...booo. I would try them again because of the fresh veggies and variety.

i always order this on marina every week, they always satisfy me. But i tried ordering on seaside because i was there. Look at the photo, you can't barely even see the beef. And the girl didn't even ask rice or noodles, i'm so disappointed.

Noodle Bar is a physically small location and has take out only. We asked the owner and they used to have stools to sit on to eat at the store, but COVID regulations ended that. The people who run the place were very nice. They are in a long but narrow and somewhat busy strip mall with adequate parking. We got the curry chicken fried rice and chicken spring rolls. The curry chicken is made with thin sliced white/breast meat and marinated in brown style curry that is probably Vietnamese, but is similar to the Chinese kind. It is NOT the wet kind of curry and is NOT the yellow curry or the peanut/coconut curry. It comes with fried rice, but you can substitute a noodle at an additional charge. The fried rice had a good flavor, but was not fried through completely and there were chunks of white unfried rice in it. Despite the improper frying of the rice, we thought the flavor of the chicken and portion size were very good and we enjoyed the dish. The chicken spring rolls come in the Vietnamese style rice paper steamed wrapper NOT the fried Chinese flour wrapper. There is a light thin peanut sauce that comes with it, NOT the thick Thai style kind, and it is a little not overly sweet. Both dishes seemed more Americanized, but we enjoyed them as prepared. We ate in our car, but there were some sketchy homeless looking people milling around the lot and so we would recommend taking your food back to your house or hotel room. One man seemed like he was going to come up to our car window and tap on it to pan handle us, but fortunately he did not. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would recommend giving them a try.

Lemongrass chow fun overflowing and underneath veggie chow mein, also overflowing. With fried shrimp and egg roll in the bowl.

Just got off the phone with Noodle Bar after getting our take out. Just want to say how incredible this place is top to bottom. Service is always great, the food is made with love and hot hot for pickup. So appreciate the staff there. I will add photos later, but the dishes cannot be beat, especially today when everything is so expensive! We just got food from here on Friday and we're back again today. We will both take servings from both main dishes (lemongrass beef chow fun and vegetable chow mein) and it won't look like it's even touched. Still overflowing. And we can eat. Their fried shrimp is always on our order, and their egg rolls are fantastic. So appreciate noodle bar! Thank you, Keary & Jon

I ordered the 5 spice wings based on reviews and I got no spice wings. They were just plain fried wings. So disappointing

The pho here is so comforting and flavorful. The broth is rich but not too heavy, and the noodles have a great texture. The fresh herbs add the perfect touch, making it one of my favorite meals.

Good atmosphere, fast-paced but comfortable. The Seafood Soup was good, not a lot of vegetables in there but the large is a good portion to keep you full for a while. The Lemongrass Beef is okay, the beef barely tastes like lemongrass and the noodles were a little overcooked, barely any bean sprouts, but the lettuce was good and fresh, good sauce and they use cilantro to garnish. The service was good, friendly, polite and efficient. Would come here again to try something different.

I love Noodle Bar and their delicious dishes. Unfortunately, today I found a long, dark hair nestled within my wonton soup. While I applaud them for their quick service and wonderful meals, this grossed me out. Just sharing what I came across, and hopefully they take this into consideration when practicing better health code enforcement.

Parking was only mildly challenging, as a space opened up after only a single lap around the block. Inside here, you'll find a busy place with a few tables and individual bar-style (partitioned!) paired seating along the walls adjacent to the kitchen in the middle part of the restaurant. Order up at the self-serve order kiosks, tap in your table/counter number, and they bring out your order in a couple of minutes. We had six of us in our party, and most of us kept it simple by ordering the default Tonkatsu Ramen with different customizable options. Most all of the ingredients in this order were on point - The Chasu Pork Belly was tender, thick and delicious, ramen noodles nothing special, but generally stil on point, as were the bamboo shoots. However, the co-star/centerpiece of the Tonkatsu Ramen other than the Chasu Pork slab should be the broth, but sadly the broth was far far TOO salty which overpowered the other flavors in the broth. Chasu Pork 4.8/5, Tonkatsu Ramen 3.1/5. Service was good as everyone was hustling hard in the kitchen, along with attentive bussers/waitstaff to quickly turn tables. They take good care in wiping down the tables here. If I return, I'll just get the Paitan Ramen like I did in years past, as that seemed less salty. Then again the Paitan soup base begins with the same chicken+pork soup base as the Tonkatsu Ramen. I hope Toribashi will step back up to their former glory.

I was craving boba & was happy to find something in this area particularly on my way to the hotel. I mean home made boba with quality ingredients? Say lesss... I loved it so much I came back a second time before heading home that trip AND came back a third time this year with my extended family cus I knew it would hit the spot. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any drink. You can customize the sweetness level and pick from a variety of flavors. I did the giant lemonade for the aunties in the car and it was GIANT lol, it was enough for all 3 of them and my daughter to share. I was honestly surprised to read a few negative reviews because WHAT? The first time I ordered some egg rolls I mentioned to the staff that I think it might have been a bad batch because my daughter and I thought it tasted spoiled maybe? And she immediately addressed the situation and apologized and was truly worried. She told me I got you, the next time I come back but I told her I was from the Bay and she mentioned they moved from the 209. She also ensured us that they make it fresh in house and surprised me and gave me a FRESH new order even though I initially declined. This is a family owned business and they let me feel like family too. I tried the pandan cake on my second trip on the way home and ughhh sooo good. I wasn't gonna do it but I heard another customer come in saying she comes in just for that and I knew I had to try it. It has the perfect sweetness, a little dense but still soft and fluffy. The icing wasn't overly sweet. I'd take a whole cake for my birthday lol. I think I also read another review talking about the donuts being raw? Idk, but it sounds like this person has never had a MOCHI donut lol. Anyways, can't wait to come back for more drinks, more snacks, and that cake!

Thanks to my YouTube habit, I found this quaint, tiny, family-run Korean grocery in a travel video on inexpensive meals in Monterey. The travelers praised the freshness of the ready-to-eat refrigerated banchan dishes and the just made kimbap rolls availabe for purchase on the checkout counter. Perfect for my use case. I parked on the street around the corner which was easy to find & free for 2 hours. The store is small and packed with anything you can imagine from an Asian grocery. The upright cold cases are toward the back left, and the frozen proteins are in a deep freezer near the checkout counter. When I arrived around 1pm on a summer Tuesday, no one was in the store, but I could hear Korean voices in conversation from the back room. I did my shopping in the banchan case (pickled cucumber & kelp salad - yum!) then poked my head through that open doorway to ask, "May I purchase kimbap?" The grandmother / proprietor jumped up to say, "Sure! Are you ready to check out?" The plastic-wrapped roll was about 7-8 inches long and stuffed with typical kimbap ingredients: nori, rice, krab, carrot, daikon, tofu). A filling meal for me at $2. With my $4 salad, the whole cost was $6 and I had leftover salad for picnicking the next day. Sorry, I failed to take any pictures (bad Yelper!), but if you've ever had ready-to-eat foods from a Korean grocer, you know what to expect.
