Buldak fire noodles are sold here

I get all my Korean food fix here. Listen, the secret of delicious gim bap sold here for only $2 is out and now it's always sold out. Come early if you want delicious and nutritious gim bap. The store is stacked with all your favorite Korean goodies like noodles, snacks and a variety of drinks. I recommend it and I always hit up this local joint. Edit to add: I was reluctant to leave a review because I wanted to keep this secret to myself... but it's too good to not share.

Stopped here on a whim from out of town. I live in Maryland where there are tons of huge Korean markets and I love Asian food. I'm vegan so I always hunt for the best pickled Korean sides. Wow I gotta say that the lotus room salad was the BEST dish I've ever eaten. It was incredible. The sprouts salad is also good and loved all the teas and mochi.

Small store with two isles. Has all the basic ingredients for preparing Korean meals. What stood out was the refrigerated section with their side dishes. I saw a bunch of ladies working in the back preparing such items. I bought kimpa/ sushi as a checked out .

This market is a gem! We were actually looking for a small locally owned cafe when we found this market. The owners are very helpful and gracious. The market is very clean, does not smell fishy and is organized and neat. They also have fresh homemade style foods if you don't want to cook. We took home a variety of noodles, spices, burdock root and the best homemade kimchi we have ever had! It was so delicious, the tang and spicy flavors did not overpower the cabbage. I am going to be dreaming about this till I go back for more!

The ladies are always so nice and, over the years, have even gotten used to me coming in and asking for kimbap, I think.

I grew up coming here with my dad,…read moreespecially when he was cooking Filipino food, so stepping inside again after a few years felt incredibly nostalgic. I was genuinely impressed by how much it's been updated. The remodel looks great -- the new flooring alone makes the whole space feel cleaner and more modern. The front entrance feels more open now, and I love that the cold goods are immediately to the right when you walk in, which makes browsing much easier. They've also expanded their selection quite a bit, especially when it comes to Filipino desserts and breads. Seeing items from Valerio's Bake Shop was such a nice surprise and brought back even more memories. On top of that, they often have a variety of "exotic" fruits displayed out front, which is always fun to browse and not something you find at basic grocery stores. It still has that familiar, comforting neighborhood market feel -- just refreshed and elevated. If you grew up shopping here like I did, or if you're looking for a solid local spot for Filipino ingredients, desserts, and unique produce, this market is absolutely worth a visit.

I got one of the Ube pastries 4 little for $7 and some change almost $8 which aside the price tasted very good! A little on the flaky side and slightly dry but good flavor . The Siapoa was I believe pork, very flavorful. The bun was very soft and ever so slightly sweet which went perfectly with the pork stuffing $2.50 for a bun that's literally the size of my hand... yes I was so hungry after my appointment it hit so hard. I got another item but anyways pretty good experience so far will be stopping by more often.

This place has been a San Jose staple for years and has been my go-to main supermarket for as long as I can remember. The selection covers everything you could possibly need, from international products to everyday household essentials all under one roof, the kind of variety that makes any other grocery store feel incomplete. What keeps me coming back just as much as the products is the staff. Many of them have been there for years, always friendly, always consistent, always making you feel genuinely welcomed. That kind of familiarity and warmth is something you just cannot put a price on. You come in for groceries and leave feeling like you just visited old friends. This Food Bazaar is a true San Jose international community treasure and deserves every bit of loyalty it has earned over the years. Highly recommend making it your regular stop, you won't regret it

They have amazing selection of spices, meats, breads, produce and more. The shelves are neatly organized. I love the fresh pita bread and lavash that they sell. I found my favorite brand of grape leaves. I also found the pomegranate syrup I needed and the orange blossom water for my Basbousa. They had a nice selection of fillo dough. My favorite brand is the Apollo fillo dough. I got a few boxes of that for my Armenian Paklava. And I couldn't leave without getting some fresh bread. I talked with Eddie, the owner, for a bit. He's so kind and if there's something you can't find, he'll help you get it. It's always a pleasure shopping here. They have the best international food items and excellent customer service. I highly recommend checking it out.

There's street parking right on Merritt in front of the store and you'll see everyday merchandize like brooms and mops displayed on the side walk. Beware, just because they're displayed along the side walk does not mean they're cheap. To me, they're quite pricey. Walk into the store, you'll notice it's nice, well stocked and clean. The vegetable/fruit sections are to your right behind the cashier. The prices on these produce are very decent, and did I mention farm-to-mouth fresh. In the back of the store is the meat and food counter where you can buy a variety of Mexican food i.e. tacos, burritos, menudo, posole etc. However, the Mexican coffee was vale la pena el dinero. If you desire to eat food there, there's only one tiny table in front of the food counter. The counter staff are very friendly and accommodating. Oh, I forgot to mention, it's almost literally next to the famous new Phil's Fish Market & restaurant.

Salsa roja was ok. The home made tortillas were ok. Fell apart as soon as I picked it up. Ended up using a fork and knife. I still cleaned the plate so that says a lot. Maybe, it was just that day, the home made tortillas fell apart. Have to try again. Meats - 4/5
