What a pleasant tasty surprise! Visited the area and drove by this place. Thought I'd explore and found this treasure. Guess everything is homemade and they run out when they run out but I got lucky with this 2 item rice plate (about $10) with pork adobo on right and not sure what's on left but was very tasty with carrots and potatoes. Temp was perfect and food tasted fresh. Can't complain about anything. It was hard to not eat it all only because i wanted to share tastes with my family at home. Next time I'll bring them all.

Nice little store. Clean and organized. Friendly staff. I came specifically for dinuguan but I should've called beforehand. I guess they made it the day before I came! Anyway, I ordered some longganisa and chicken adobo with rice and a side of squash. I was not a fan of the adobo because they put pineapples in it, which I'm not used to, and every bite, I was having to spit out chicken bones. Other than that, I'd definitely come back here if I ever need ingredients for Filipino food!

This place is really good for a low cost fish lunch to take outside or to the beach nearby. They have a small fish market in the back and the owner will fry your selected seafood items whole style with a garlic salt rub on them cooked to any degree you choose. The Pompano done medium rare is my go to as the skin is delicious and it tastes much like roasted yellow tail collar at a sushi joint. They have a selection of hot tray items too but more as sides in my opinion. Buy a jar of your favorite sauce and a drink or BYOB and its a curbside dinner.

[Review is for their lunch items] Let us be honest and admit that there will always be a legion of us - humans - who remain completely enslaved to our inner selves, namely, our stomachs. Cravings surface from areas unknown and beckon us to move towards a certain beacon while losing our mental focus, our mental control, and even our true personalities. It is like a drug that consumes us; yet, it is nothing more than a craving for a particular dish, a particular taste...a particular flavor. Like many who are spoiled by any big city, my cravings tend to be seasonal. Some last longer than others but they come and they go. But that's the great thing about being from the city OR living close to a BIG city. You can go through these seasons unharmed because all cravings - no matter the intensity - can be appeased by a short drive. So let's say that my Filipino food cravings hit like a freight truck again. Maybe it is a summer/post-summer thing but I've got to admit that when it comes, it comes like a Filipino thunderstorm - nothing is left untouched. I went to my usual immediate spots and partook of all that they had to offer but was left wanting. I knew I needed to find something better to keeps everything in check. I stumbled upon them quite by accident actually. I wasn't even aware that they had hot food items available, which is obviously noob of me for not having double checked after growing up around these stores that ALWAYS have some form of food providence due to the cultural need to be replenished. SO when I finally knew of it, I've been back at least 5 times within a short span and is now part of my mom-pop pigeon spots for ethnic cuisine. Their offerings are limited and rotates daily with about 8 main options to choose from. However, it is $6 + tax for a two item combo FOR really well prepared authentic Filipino dishes. I swear that the moment I first tasted their food...I was won over immediately. They were going to get this 5-star review that day and after 4 more visits, I still haven't changed my mind. Lovely people, lovely food, and a cute lunch crowd. :)

Great Filipino food. Had the two item meal with rice. One was a beef strew and the other was strewed beef in a coconut sauce. The other dish with blood sauce or the one with squid looked interesting so I have go back for it. Walking through the food isles to get to the diner in back had all the signs of a good place. There was a line of customers about 3 deep waiting to order so I knew the food must be good. I've only had Filipino food two time previously so I can't say I'm an expert on the dishes but it tasted good so that is all that really matters. The two item with rice cost about $7 but was enough food to feed two people or on really hungry person . The Filipino spaghetti sauce on the shelf next to the spaghetti noodles made me think all I need are hot dogs and I got myself some Filipino comfort food.

The pork was soft and juicy with a few crunchy edges, the carrots were tangy, the bread was fresh and not tough and kept good balance with the amount of sandwich filling. The $20 price was high relative to where I'm from (Midwest) but it WAS a great sandwich... Also got the potatoes wedges. Not crunchy, but still delicious. Great casual lunch spot! I stopped in for lunch and ordered a couple of sandwiches to go, thinking it would be a good way to try the food before committing to a larger purchase like steaks, pasta, or other items from the shop. The sandwiches came out to $42 for two, which felt pretty steep. While I waited, I looked around the store at some of the other products, but nothing really stood out to me, and the service felt a bit underwhelming. The sandwiches themselves were just okay--nothing particularly memorable for the price. A few hours later my stomach also felt a bit uneasy, which didn't leave the best impression. Overall, the experience fell short of what I was expecting. Perhaps I just caught them on an off day, but based on this visit, I probably won't be returning.

To say I am disappointed in the $70 Birthday cake my husband purchased is an understatement…read more He ordered a lemon cake with raspberry preserves with buttercream icing. What we received was a dry cake with hardly any flavor. My Mother thought it was just a yellow cake, she couldn't even taste the lemon. And she is an experienced baker. She made our lemon and raspberry wedding cake, that my husband was trying to recreate. The raspberry "preserves" were gelatinous, like pie filling from a can. Preserves should be a jam like consistency, only with larger fruit pieces. But sadly, this was goopy and artificial tasting. And the buttercream was greasy, not creamy, like it was made from Crisco shortening (not butter), sugar and water. It didn't even have any flavor (maybe they forgot to put vanilla extract in it?) Even the construction of the cake was poor. They clearly didn't put enough batter in the pans. Normally you shave the rounded top off to make it flat. This bakery just added tons of icing in an attempt to make up for the rounded edges. Which also meant there were barely any raspberry "preserves" in between the layers. And last but not least. When my husband special ordered the cake (in person) he asked for white sprinkles. When he arrived to pick up the cake, it wasn't ready. And they told him they didn't have white sprinkles. And offered to cover the entire cake in tiny rock hard pearls, that are typically only used sparingly for decorative purposes. Because they are so hard, many decorators recommend removing them before eating! My Dad bit into it and said it was like trying to eat buck shot. My Father has never met a cake or sweet he didn't like, until now. He didn't want another piece during his entire visit. My mother and I didn't even finish our first piece. To charge $70 for this 8" cake was just criminal. I would have returned it if I could.
