Amazing place to get one of the best desserts I've ever had. Pandan cake was to die for! Rich creamy but not too sweet! A perfect balance worth having! Friendly and clean environment! And the owner is very passionate on what she does, good speaks for it self.

This feels like mostly a boba tea place, but I came for the Cambodian food and will be back for more. I shared a salad, pork stew, and fried chicken with a friend. The food was generally very tasty, with two caveats: the pork stew had large amounts of fat I didn't want to eat, but that surely added to the flavor of the broth, and the fried chicken was seemingly entirely unsalted. The vibe was casual, clean, and extremely friendly. I'll be back.

We walked in at around 3pm, right away noticed the cleanand well maintained sitting area. The restaurant sits about 20 people comfortably. We walked up to the counter to order but Because of my other experiences at other boba spots I right away thought it was going to take forever for someone to notice us,(I am traumatized‍) but even before I could finish my thought you could tell they were more than happy to take our order. I encouraged everyone to go here immediately you are missing out on amazing things!!! just to start off with the natural taste of our drinks was amazing you could tell they were authentic I am not a fan of powder milk teas at all and the town is full of them EXCEPT This one !!! having lived in San Jose I sadly have consumed a high standard for authentic Asian foods (which is okay) and this place transported me to that. No doubt!! Did I mention it's Veteran owned?!!! Yes, read all about it inside the store, lovely people work there, although they did get busy while we waited for our made to order mochi donut they maintain their great customer service they delivered my mochi donut well under four minutes. Drinks were made under two minutes very impressed. And price point !!! $5 -$7 I am going to try everything on the menu I know it's not going to disappoint.

This is a great addition to have Cambodian food in the area! We didn't need a reservation for Friday dinner, which was nice. The freshly made hot mochi donuts were the standout, I have definitely been craving them since! Brussel sprouts were delicious, dry noodles were yummy, and the fried tofu with the chili sauce were recommended by others and good. We all liked our drinks. The crab fried rice had a nutty heavier flavor, and the Cambodian salad is simple and refreshing. We got to talk with one of the owners who is awesome & hope the restaurant does well!

Incredible story, amazing food! We were craving banh mi, this place sounded legit, so we drove out to Grocery Outlet. You step inside, and you know you are going to eat WELL. A chicken banh mi needs to be special to rival a pork one, but THIS is place! I don't know what they did to that bird, but every bite was a symphony of flavor. We literally went back the next day for another one. We both had tea drinks, too, which were delicious--no cloying flavoring, just fresh, true flavors. The pandan coconut cake...I died. WHOA. The second day we got a black sesame coconut mochi donut, and it hit the spot perfectly. I could live inside this place and die happy. The sisters are SO lovely, too! If you understand that some of the meals that make you happiest are the ones you eat in a strip-mall joint because the folks there KNOW food, then this is the place for you.

Amazing Cambodian traditional food. We had the Khmer version of Pho and it was full of flavor and was a generous portion. The mochi donut was taken to go and hours later, it was still good. I got excited and immediately took a bite before getting a picture. The calamari was perfect and even had the tentacles, which is my favorite part! The owners were super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

The Cambodian pho is so good! I wanted something soupy and savory, and this really hits the spot. The broth was super flavorful, noodles are perfectly cooked, and it had solid chunks of meat. Also, I want to mention that the water they provide with a little lime wedge inside is very good and refreshing. We had two whole pitchers of it and there's a distinct taste to it that I can't seem to pinpoint. It might be lemongrass but I'm not sure. There was only one employee at the front, and they were very friendly. I like how they have many options for meals, snacks, and drinks on their menu. Food came out pretty fast and everything was delicious. The restaurant and bathrooms were nice and clean.

Very welcoming environment with plenty of parking. Outdoor seating is available. And they have cool little Knick knacks for photos. I ordered a salted caramel lavender milk tea with lychee boba. It was AMAZING! Everything had such a nice flow on the palette. I was also impressed with their churro donut. Very happy overall with taste, aesthetics, and the variety of their menu. Will be back!

I've always wanted to try this spot whenever I'm in Monterey, and I'm so glad I finally did. I ordered the grilled beef satay; it was absolutely delicious, and I'm a huge fan of lemongrass! I also tried their Vietnamese iced coffee, which came in a cool tall can; such a nice touch. I initially thought this was just a café serving drinks, but it's actually a full restaurant offering Cambodian food. I even got to meet the owner and their family; super friendly and attentive. I'll be back for round two; there's so much more I want to try!

We walked over to this area while my car was being worked on... initially just anting tea but the menu looked so good. Husband got the beef sandwich (Banh Mi) and loved it! Bread is made in house btw.. also the pate. Our son got the beef fried rice and it was incredible! He said "this deserves so much respect" I got chicken satay and ate every bite! I love that it's dark meat because that is much easier for me to digest. So much flavor! We started with 2 jasmine teas and 1 Vietnamese coffee. Drank them all and got more! The Vietnamese coffee is probably the best I've had in the bay area! Seriously do not be deterred by the outside. It is worth it.

I visited Congo Go in Seaside, CA on Saturday, 1/4/25, around 6 PM. For the entire meal, I decided to get the Crab Puffs, Cambodian Kathiew (Phó) and Strawberry Kiwi Oolong Tea. Everything was tasty from start to finish. My absolute favorite was the refreshingly, wonderful tea. I almost ordered another one in this visit, that was how extremely good it was. The inside of the restaurant was great. It was spacious, modern, inviting and decorated beautifully overall. The customer service was friendly and lovely. The restroom was clean and tidy. Overall, Congo Go serves amazing food and offers splendid service to the general public. I highly recommend coming here!

Seafood boil with rice: very flavorful

Obviously an experienced chef who well-trained. She bakes the breads, the boba, the individual sauces, the sausages, mochi donuts, etc. Without compromising the authentic Cambodian flavors.

Cambodian Pho and deep fried onion.

I think the biggest issue with this spot is that they are not able to show off how much of a culinary experience this place really is. Unless you get the privilege to talk to the owners, you wouldn't know that all of their sauces are house made from scratch, all of their broths are fresh made in the kitchen, all of their drinks are made from raw ingredients and never from powder, and that their owner is trained and comes from in fine dining from the most prestigious restaurants in the Carmel region. There is so much about this restaurant that is left to be discovered, but even if you did not know any of that, all you have to do is order and try it. Their food is delicious and well portioned. Every customer I have seen enter loves it there. If you are not familiar with Cambodian food, their flavors are not exactly like the typical Chinese, Thai, or Vietnamese foods, and that is because they are an entirely different culture with different culturally-significant herbs and spices. But if you can appreciate good food of any kind, you will be impressed eating here. We also ordered the Vietnamese coffee and Brown sugar milk tea with boba. The vVietnamese coffee tastes EXACTLY like how we had it in Vietnam. The coffee is rich and has a liqueur like consistency. The brown sugar milk tea is also the BEST we have tried by far. The flavor is so smooth and you can taste the natural, brown sugar's granules, giving it a pleasant texture with the drink. Ambiance is casual and very welcoming. The environment is especially great because Tia and V who are operating the spot are so kind and happy to help. We love it here and wish we live locally to eat here more often!!!

Had the best time at Famous Khmer!…read more A clean restaurant with wonderful staff. We asked for hot water and I realized they went out of their way to heat it up! We did family style and ordered: - the famous papaya salad platter: comes with fried chicken wings, papaya salad, vermicelli noodles, boiled eggs and sausage. You can ask for spice preferences. Probably my favorite dish! Had multiple dishes to try. Added an extra wing (only comes with 2) - stuffed chicken wing: stuffed with lemongrass, ground pork and comes with white rice and papaya salad. First time eating a stuffed chicken wing and felt that the lemongrass really came through in the meat. - Khaw nee: a Lao stir fry noodle with sweet soy sauce toppings with eggs. First time having this noodle! I thought it was very flavorful and the eggs and noodles complimented each other very well. Hope to try their pad Thai another time. I think overall this meal was super flavorful and filling. We even had leftovers! For the price it was worth it. I don't think I've been to many Lao restaurants, so I am happy this one exists. I would come again and try other dishes :)

The papaya salad platter for two please! $30 We got medium spice for the papaya salad, the ferment taste stayed in my mouth. It felt like I was in Laos. Laos sausage was spectacular too. Hearty and has a kick. Chicken wings were fried just right. Crisp texture and not over cooked in the inside. Kao Poon, yes please. $16.50 Was not as coconutty as expected. Love the chicken feet though. It's filing and feels authentic. I probably would order a tray of the papaya salad for a potluck or party.

Was my first time having the dish so don't have a point of comparison, but I thought it was really good--I love the texture of steamed egg and to me it was basically a very flavorful egg soufflé. On the smaller side though so you may want to order something else if you're hungry and looking for volume. Server was friendly and helpful with providing recommendations and explanations of dishes. The Bok Lahong has a perfect level of spiciness and the salted crab in it really is a showstopper. The Angkor Noodles also were super yummy, the coconut milk adds a great sweetness. However, I did have some notes about the service. First of all, no one checked on us for pretty much the entire meal. Additionally, when we finished our meals we waited for 15 minutes with empty plates and no one brought the dessert menu or the check until I had to stop a different server walking by. The oddest part was when I tried to order the Bok Lahong, our server tried to talk me out of it by saying the dish is "stinky and funky" and that I should just order something else. I just think it's quite odd to use such negative connotations to describe a dish. You can describe a flavor profile to me without trying to persuade me to order a different item. And good thing I didn't listen to him because it was AMAZING!! Overall though, I would come back because the food was genuinely incredible!
