The "actual" choices are Pork egg roll, veggie egg roll, OR tofu (without an egg roll). I informed the gentleman that this was misleading. I've been a loyal customer of Mr. Noodles since they opened, but after my most recent visit I will never return. I placed my usual takeout order, but when I went to pick it up, they gave me the wrong food. I told the person at the counter it wasn't what I ordered, and instead of fixing it, he told me I still had to pay for it. Frustrated, I said I just wanted the correct order. He took the food back to the kitchen, but when I finally received my replacement, it was still wrong. On top of that, the food I did get was tasteless, bland, and undercooked. I've never experienced a restaurant that gives you the wrong order, makes you pay for it, and then serves you another wrong order. The customer service was rude both in person and over the phone. Warning to others: you will not have a pleasant experience here. There are far better restaurants with better food and much better service. read more

Consistently delicious, this place is small but turnover is rapid. Take out also available. Generous servings of pho, chicken salad and vermicelli dishes which are my favorites. I came here with my mother and ordered spring rolls and a veggie pho soup. The broth was so tasteless like if they just only poured hot water over vegetables. The spring rolls are so bland some noodles a small piece of cucumber and a load of lettuce. Even the peanut sauce had a weird flavor. I wanted to give them another opportunity today but I am very disappointed I will definitely not return and will not recommend it either. Sorry but you guys need to do better and listen to your customers because K did see multiple reviews on here complaining about the flavorless soups and bland dishes. By the way the funniest thing is they have this sign claiming to have the best pho. Food was good however the man at the counter I'm thinking the owner is a grouch. He sits there slumped over just staring. I asked for two to go containers and he gave me these little containers when there was still a ton of food left and I asked for the larger ones and he actually snapped at me and told me no your food will fit! This is a no frills pho spot! In Salinas, there's not many Vietnamese spots so it's nice to have found a spot I could go to. We started the meal with the spring rolls with pork and it was straight forward and tasted good! I got Vermicelli Noodles with lemongrass beef for my entree. This isn't a spot you come to for upscale service, go to Carmel for that. This spot is great and straight forward. The only con about this place is the hours. Chilly weather called for us to get some pho, not really familiar with the the area but we stumbled upon Mr Noodles. We ordered the eye of round steak pho and it was enough to feed two people who hadn't had breakfast yet, but were very satisfied with the portion size. Definitely will be stopping here again when i'm on the road. Service was awesome and welcoming plus everything was tidy, clean, and cozy. oh and the prices are amazing! read more

Improving! My last review was 7yrs. ago, walked out with a star. Tonight, I was smiling as I slipped my seat belt over my now full stomach. It's clean, really clean. The floor,walls, tables and all the condiments on those tables were clean. Service was prompt and polite with a genuine smile. Super simple and easy to navigate menu. We started with some spring rolls that were full of flavors like mint, cucumber and cilantro. I had a bowl of pho (beef eye of round) which came out hot...perfect. I always ask for the beef on the side so I can cook it in the broth myself. The broth itself was good and after dropping in the basil and jalapeño slices it went next level. My wife ordered the grilled chicken vermicelli which was loaded with chicken so much we took some home. I'm glad we went back. It seems they have overcome some past issues. Truly amazing food!!! My husband goes on business trips to Salinas throughout the year and always brings me back the pho and spring rolls. The pho is pure perfection and the pork spring rolls are by far the best spring rolls I've ever tasted! The takeout is packaged so beautifully with plenty of food in each container. We stopped in for a quick lunch last week. Have only been one time before a few years back and had enjoyed a bowl of pho. We had just had soup so we decided to try their Lemongrass Chicken and Pork Vermicelli bowls. So fresh, flavorful and delish. I had leftovers.
