Order #26 "Egg Roll: choice tofu" vermicelli noodles. Received this order without an egg roll. Called the restaurant and the gentleman that answered said this order did not come with an egg roll. The "actual" choices are Pork egg roll, veggie egg roll, OR tofu (without an egg roll). I informed the gentleman that this was misleading. Instead of trying to make things right, he just continued to argue with me. As for the flavor of this dish...bland. This place needs better customer service and flavor.

As a vegetarian I have limited options and the staff recommended the Vegetable stir fry with Tofu. Large portion and that's a plus

This is a no frills pho spot! In Salinas, there's not many Vietnamese spots so it's nice to have found a spot I could go to. We started the meal with the spring rolls with pork and it was straight forward and tasted good! I got Vermicelli Noodles with lemongrass beef for my entree. This isn't a spot you come to for upscale service, go to Carmel for that. This spot is great and straight forward. The only con about this place is the hours. I wish it was open later but in Salinas, there's not many spots that are open late.

Spring rolls.

Food tasted bland and customer service was awful. I had to add about bunch of hoisen sauce and siracha for it to have flavor .

Turned us away 45 minutes before closing their posted hours. Probably won't come back because their pho is average at best.

Ordered pho, shaking beef, banh xeo, and others that I could not remember. Their pho was good, big portion and full of meat. Unfortunately the sirloin was overcooked and the other parts of the meat have too much fats in them, so it was down on the score. Their shaking beef was also meh, very thin and overly sweet, probably not their strongest dish. Banh xeo was full of meat and fillings, but not particularly crispy. All in all, it was tasty but only lacking a bit here and there. Their service was pretty good though. Their restaurants are also huge, which is a plus.

From the moment I walked in, the service began with a bad start. The staff were chatting and joking behind the counter and too distracted to notice me. I had to grab a menu myself and ask in a loud tone if I could sit anywhere just to get their attention. Once seated, it took nearly 10 minutes for a server to come by. I ordered a boba drink and pho with brisket. The server returned after another 8 minutes to say they were out of both the boba flavor I wanted and the brisket. After I reordered, the replacement boba arrived extremely sweet -- basically tasted like watered-down sugar syrup with almost no tea flavor. The pho was even more disappointing.. the broth was watery and bland, there was very little beef, and the bowl was light on noodles and toppings. It felt like a shadow of what they used to serve. It's sad to see a spot that was once one of the best pho places in Salinas (in my opinion) decline this sharply. The restaurant was unusually empty, and the few other customers looked just as unimpressed. I understand rising food and restaurant operating costs, but cutting quality this much will only drive more people away. I rarely leave negative reviews and I don't consider myself to be such a picky eater, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. I'm not sure I'll be back.

9.2/10 Ordered the…read morerare beef pho and spring rolls, absolutely amazing and highly recommend this spot for Vietnamese food! The rare beef pho was packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. The noodles were fresh, not clumpy at all, and very enjoyable to eat. I also asked for extra beef, and they definitely did not skimp on the portions, which was a huge plus. The spring rolls were another standout fresh, tightly rolled, and well-made. My only small criticism is that I wish the peanut sauce had a little more flavor and punch to it. Despite the restaurant being very busy, the service was efficient and the staff stayed friendly and attentive throughout. The ambiance is on the smaller side, but the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Overall, a great experience and I'll definitely be coming back!

Lots of variety from the menu. Our server was very nice. Even asked if peanuts were okay in the 5 Spice Chicken? The food was served piping hot and considering it was so crowded; especially lots of to go orders our food came quite fast. Everything was excellent and tasty, clean atmosphere and service is quick and friendly. Nice "hole in the wall" Vietnamese restaurant find for our visit here.

We have yet to try the whole menu but it's hard to stray from our favorites: - green curry - panang curry - pad thai - pad kee mao (drunken noodles) - beef salad (loooooove this with some extra rice on the side - super saucy and can get really spicy. The gentleman told me he had a full menu for me to review, and I was able to look through it. The entire restaurant was very clean, and well maintained with beautiful decorative art, and clean floors, windows, and doors. The gentleman working the front gave me so many options to choose from, explained the entirety of the menu, and even gave advice on which dishes to choose from based on my flavor pallet. He was very informative, patient, and so helpful in choosing my first tai experience. The fried appetizers, wonton and dumplings were so crispy and fresh. The filling inside both was fair, and the sauces given had a wonderful flavor. The pad Thai was perfectly spiced and very filling. I do wish the pork itself was seasoned prior to the sauce, and maybe it is, but it seemed a tad bland with the sauce on top! Great prices and great portions. I do highly recommend you come try this place! They had so many great options including drinks!
