This updated review is SOLEY based on the rudeness of the owner who runs the front desk. My 18yr old daughter went in to pick up our food & she had a new debit card she was using. She was having a hard time working the credit card reader. The owner rolled his eyes & snatched the card from her while telling her "it's not that hard." When she came out with our food she was a little tearful and told me what happened. I decided to go in & confront the owner. I told him I did not appreciate him being rude to my daughter. He waved his hand at me, cutting me off & said "then don't come back." This is not the first time I've had to deal with his rude behavior. The lady looked him up & down multiple times before he got a chance to say anything and told him "it's going to be an hour and a half wait" while continuing to look him up and down. He explained to her he was wanting a to-go order and she again rudely stated "it's going to be an hour and a half" while continuing to look at him up and down. I missed out on the other reviews, The first time we went the lady cashier wasn't friendly at all, handed us our take out order without looking at us and no thank you. The food is actually pretty good...the review is solely based on the service. The server who's been there since this place opened is bringing the bad reviews. He's actually not rude even though he does seem to come off that way. He simply does his job without making you feel like he deserves a tip. He works like he hates everything around him. We walked in and he says nothing while wiping tables. Someone from the kitchen had to yell and say there has been customers waiting. Place wasn't even busy. Girl up front was busy taking phone orders but she seemed to always seat people because of that guy ignoring everyone. Guarantee he won't ask you if you need anything or how's the food. When I called and asked about some of the options before I can even say OK thank you and try to place the order the gentleman hang up on me I had to call back and place the order LOL kind of weird maybe they were super busy. The actual soup of the pho wasn't that flavorful however they did have a lot of protein in the offering. I did ask for no basil in either of the bags due to an allergen of my coworker and it was in both so she had to do without the jalapeños bean sprouts and limes as well as the cilantro which is kind of a bummer because all of that accoutrement is what makes it super enjoyable... pho #1 was is way better as far as flavor but the fact of the last mishap and lack of protein has made me realize I just need to take the extra time to travel to Marina to noodle bar. read more

So far this place is my 2nd favorite place to eat Vietnamese food and pho. The food here is so tasty and flavorful every food I get here is always good. I mostly get the lemongrass chicken vermicelli. There so good you can actually taste the flavor of the lemongrass and the spice they put into it. Not like other places I'd taste was all blend. I usually love this place, and I understand that it's an interesting time however, the owner (male that is always in the front) is not very helpful during this time. I ordered the egg noodle soup and pork spring rolls (food is bomb), but I was disappointed with the customer service, when I asked if I could have Siracha, chili oil, and Soy sauce, he gestured ad said everything was in there. Today I was over Salinas way to putter around in the storage unit and I remembered the lemongrass chicken not far from there at Mr. Noodles. Mr. Noodles survived the pandemic! Super yummy generous portions that last me two or three meals. Dull ambiance but totally sweet people who don't blink at ridiculous special requests like no fish sauce or vinegar or anything fermented. So sweet and accomodating. If I could put a zero I'd do it... My fiancé's mom went to get pho ..long story short she bought a soda with her meal and when she asked for a to go cup the owner refused to give her a to-go cup . He ended up telling her " if I have to give you a cup I have to give everyone a cup and I would go broke ." Now , to me it seems like my man is being a little cheap . As far as running a business I'd think investing 10cents into giving someone a styrofoam cup would be worth it to get a returning customer but I guess not...not only did he lose a customer who had been to the restaurant 4 times in the last 2 weeks but now he loses potential profit in serving a additional customers by being a penny pincher . Just had a #11 (small top round beef pho) from Mr. Noodle. It was pretty much on par with some of the best pho I've had. I can often tell if they use MSG or not depending on how crappy I feel afterwards. So far so good. The service was prompt and the establishment was clean and organized. My 4th time here. The waiter has been consistently rude. All 4 times I've seen him, he always looks like a grumpy kid who just dropped his lollipop on the ground. I've never seen him smile. When he brings the food, he almost throws the food on the table, making loud noises. Owner/cashier guy not that friendly and never said thank you. Food is progressively getting worse. My first visit, food was pretty decent. But now, pho broth is very greasy, bean sprouts are not cleaned well (dead/brown sprouts), and spring roll peanut sauce doesn't even has peanuts on them! I dined here with my girlfriends, one of whom considers this to be her neighborhood comfort food. I love Vietnamese food! Not too hot, or extreme as Thai can be. Instead, I find it subtle and nuanced. The menu was geared toward people unfamiliar with Vietnamese food so anyone could order and feel like they would be getting what they expected. The meatball pho was excellent. I loved my cold Pork Rice Vermicelli Bowl. At other places, you have to shred your own table salad. This came with the table salad already chopped and integrated with the rest of the fresh veggies. The hot grilled pork was delicious and tender. The portions are large, and extremely reasonable. My bowl was only $8.95. I liked that they have not only Sriracha on the table, but also sambal oelek. We sat at a four-top by the door which was a little breezy so I'd recommend taking a sweater. There's a community table, too. The restaurant was packed on a Wednesday afternoon from the time we arrived at 1, until we left after 3. This would be a good place from which to order take-out.
