The place is pretty cozy to dine in the booths and gives me LA vibes =) and we noticed they are really efficient with take-out orders (might try that next). This Vietnamese spot was bustling with nice, comfortable booth seating. My mom and I ordered take out to bring back to a friend's place. I was excited to see that they had Eggnog shake. I asked for it with boba, but it came without unfortunately. It did come with a green candy cane though. The shake was wonderfully thick, creamy, smooth, and had such delightful, rich eggnog flavor. For my meal, I chose the noodles with pork and shrimp. There were plenty of sauces that came with it, which helped enhance the taste of the noodles, since they were quite bland. The pork was well seasoned, but not as tender as I would have liked. Shrimp was juicy and succulent, but there were only 2 pieces, so not really worth it to pay extra for it. Good tasting broth but can't say the same about the spring rolls and their chicken bbq rice plate. Service hasn't been great either. Today, they messed up our order and when hubby told them, they just told him it's been prepared even though they had us wait 15 minutes! No effort at all to make it right. There was a small waiting line for a table when we got there, but since it was only two of us, we chose to eat at the window bar to skip the wait. We ordered the Traditional Pho and Chicken Pho. The food came out quick, maybe 5 minutes. We both tasted our broth and thought it was tasty without any additional toppings needed. I only added some siracha and chili oil for spicy heat. We've been eating American for a couple straight days, and just wanted some comfort food. Got a meal for the whole family for under $30. Our 2 kids shared a chow fun dish which basically is instant noodles fried chow mein style. Not my cup of tea but the kids loved it. Their bbq pork and egg roll dry noodle is a real good value meal. There is just a lot of food for the price, and it's pretty good. Their lemongrass chicken chili dry noodle is not bad, but just not great. Above average for sure, but I can't rate something great just because I was seeking comfort food. There was enough flavor there wheee I didn't even pour the fish sauce. Tamarind fried chicken were excellent in taste. I'm sure the lemongrass fried chicken and others are just as saucy and good. Yes, old building and old plates. Regular bowl of special house Pho or beef and shrimp Pho was good enough in portion size per person. They do offer large size bowl for more. Host told us it would be 15 minutes..30 minutes later I look inside and he sat down the party of 5 that was behind us. We only had 3. Then someone else walks in after we've waited for 30 minutes..they tell him 10 minutes and immediately sat him down. We were literally the next people in line but for some reason he wouldn't give us a table. We both got the dry noodle pork and egg roll. Coming from the Bay Area, their food was disappointing. The meat tasted like it was seasoned with sauce you can get from asian super markets. It just didnt have a good flavor to it. The food was kind of cold too. Dry noodles doesnt mean the meat and egg rolls were supposed to be cold either but maybe? I have to pass on this place. Once we walked in, we're both greeted and she directed us to the area to pay. It was super busy however the service was great. On our out, the gentleman that was at the register noticed our bag wasn't so secure offered another bag to make sure our food make it out safe. We highly appreciated that. We love Vietnamese food and don't have any near where we live so we can't wait to try more menu items. This is a tiny place in a strip mall and gets very busy so be prepared to have a little wait. And is worth it. Everything tasted fresh and they have the perfect spices down. We loved the grilled shrimp fresh spring rolls. You could taste every individual flavor. Same with the 5 spice chicken dry noodle bowl. Every bite was like a flavor party in your mouth. We also had the Vegetarian Pho which was delicious. Maybe the best Pho broth I've ever had. Took our order, my fiancé went to pick it up and no problems at all. Food was excellent. The spring rolls, chicken wings, wonton soup, combo pho, fried catfish, etc... basically everything we've ever had there are all excellent. The food is never the problem. This evening we tried to call again. I noticed the phone seems to be off the hook the most about an hour or two before closing so I called earlier. Phone rang and rang then would hang up. I tried multiple times and then my fiancé decided to go try in person and it's closed so Google (and their website) hours either aren't accurate or something came up ‍. It seems to be hit or miss now. I never know what's going to happen when I try to call but I'm giving 3 stars because of the customer service and food the other day. read more

We go to this spot when we have a craving for catfish. As you can see, they give you good portions of meat, rice and veggies. The catfish is usually nice and crispy; perhaps needing just a touch of seasonings to make it more flavorful, but definitely do not put no MSG.
