This place SUCK!!!!!!! Got "HOME SICK" as I was struggling to enjoy the beautiful weather w/ FAM and da Homies. What a perfect weekend fishing the beaches, and eating Hella good food, but the heart wants what it wants; there's "NO PLACE LIKE HOME." -Miss the taste of authentic Vietnamese Coffee, so there was only one thing to do: "YELP" -got on Yelp for some Vietnam Coffee recommendation and this place was recommended. I was so excited to get the "YUMMY" taste of Vietnam. -What a DISSAPPOINTMENT. The Vietnamese Coffee offered was just a froth cappuccino w/wipe cream seal in a Bobba cup. -Conclusion - "Everything seal in a Bobba Cup" must be Oriental, and they all taste the same...."Will swipe Left for Sure"....LOL ***can't really mess up fired chicken wings...got an order of Salt/Pepper wings...nothing amazing. Just edible. ***Hot Cheetos Korean corndog was pretty bad. Taste very doughy and undercook. What a waste of location and potential... read more

Lots of parking. Small place with a few seats. No restroom or water available. No line on a late Friday afternoon. They have self service kiosks to order ok but ordered at the counter. Drinks were made super fast. Tried the mochi donuts, they were good but could be a little chewier. Tried the honeydew and the churro. Drink were good. Nothing super special. Daughter said the Yakult was not good and didn't drink it. Lots of parking available. read more

I love this place!! They've come a long way with adding a bunch of different snacks! They have a variety of mochi donuts, bubble waffles, Korean corn dogs, boba drinks and finger foods! The place is small, cute and always clean! It always feels welcoming when I go! My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is sometimes the mochi donuts aren't always consistent. Some times they are perfection and sometimes they are a bit over fried and crunchy. I think I've tried almost all the flavors of donuts they offer and they are all delicious! But even more when they are cooked right ;) Definitely check this place out! Especially if you see all those videos of people eating Korean corn dogs. Get your fix! read more

I'm so happy I ran into this place. I'm seldom ever in watsonville but I just had to give this place a try. It's absolutely adorable inside this shop. They have a beautiful flower wall where you can take selfies at. And the food and the drinks were absolutely tasty. I had the half and half classic corn dog and it was perfectly melty and crunchy and I loved all of the sauce options that they had for you to drizzle on top. On mine. I chose the spicy mayonnaise and the sweet and spicy sauce. For dessert, I ordered the milk cereal mochi donut. And although I have had better mochi donuts, this was actually still very tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also ordered the guava lychee fruit tea with lychee Crystal boba. I did forget to flavor the sweetness down as I prefer it to be at 0%. So the only suggestion I have is to ask your customers what sweetness level they would like. Nevertheless, it was still a very good drink. Since periodically I come here to work, I definitely will put this in my place to stop by whenever. I'm here in watsonville. And by the way, the service was absolutely wonderful. People were friendly and very helpful. Thank you dessert lounge for giving me a great experience at your cute little shop read more

I see some real potential in Dessert Lounge! The type of Asian influenced snacks they often such as the mochi donut and Korean corn dog are typically found closer to the bay. It's a bit niche. Hopefully Watsonville likes them! Walking in I thought they were still in their soft opening stage which looks like it was about a year ago. The interior is a little bare aside from 2-3 kiosks, some seating, and the selfie wall. The rest of the walls are blank white. The kitchen area is completely covered by a grey curtain. With a little polishing I think it'd lot cuter. We weren't greeted by anyone. The only time we saw an employee was when they popped out from the kitchen to give us our items. We ordered the lychee guava fruit tea regular sweetness, the taro coconut mochi donut, and two scoops of ice cream in a cone. Ordering was quite easy to use the kiosks. They were very intuitive. They show which items are out of stock. The kiosk is payment by card. They have an option for paying in cash up in the front near the kitchen. The ice cream was good. Generous scoops. Not much to say about ice cream. The lychee guava tea was tasty and refreshing but very sweet. Next time I'd choose less sweet. The mochi donut was very warm/fresh. Good flavor. I've never had a mochi donut before. It was like a chewy donut. The color of the donut was golden. It did not taste like grease. The taro coconut topping was a little messy/melty. Overall it's a unique dessert place. If I'm in the area again I'd like to try a Korean corn dog or see if they have the bubble waffle ice cream cone in stock. read more

I visited primarily for the enticing half-and-half option, featuring a delightful combination of mozzarella cheese on top and hot dog on the bottom. I ALSO added nacho cheese and hot cheeto dust... Alongside that, I indulged in mochi donuts and ice cream. The mochi donuts surpassed my expectations--usually, they tend to firm up as they cool, but these remained soft even hours later. I opted for the Superman ice cream, a childhood favorite of mine that I hadn't found elsewhere until today. The experience was so enjoyable that I plan to bring my children next time. However, it's worth noting that the ordering process is through a kiosk, with most of the staff working behind the scenes in food preparation. It might not be everyone's preference, but the flavors and uniqueness make it a memorable spot for me. My total was $30 with change including tax.. read more

Friendly staff. Just opened a few days ago. Was told mochi donuts coming soon maybe two weeks. I got an all Mozzarella Korean potato hot dog and a strawberry guava boba smoothie. Wow, so glad we found this place while traveling through the area! My fiancée and I came in during their soft opening and, lucky enough, their first day serving mochi donuts! Everything was SO delicious. My fiancée got the sweet watermelon slush (they also have a spicy one) that had a fresh watermelon flavor and real fruit chunks at the bottom. I got a dragon fruit mango tea slush that had an absolutely fantastic flavor. Both drinks had the perfect amount of sweetness and were perfectly refreshing. The mochi donuts-- seriously, WOW. Delightfully crisp on the outside and chewy inside, served warm. They were better than the last mochi donuts we spent almost twice as much on in the Bay area. I think some folks might complain that they're a little expensive (we spent $30 on two drinks and 6 donuts), but I'd say it's well worth the money. Service was quick and nice. Since it was their soft opening they're still getting everything polished, but their offerings are already solid, decor is cute, and I hope they do well! read more

Found this spot across the way from our new favorite spot for Pho. There is an option to order ahead. Nice store front with limited seating. Cozy and on the smaller side. Service was quick and donuts were delicious. Nice to see other options for a snack. Much closer than driving to San Jose for our fix. Look forward to trying Korean corn dogs. read more

So this was a tough review for me to make because when the dessert lounge first opened, they had hands-down the most delicious donuts I've ever had in my life. And the last three times I went I feel like the donuts are getting more and more stale. They were so soft and fresh and could put Krispy Kreme to shame when they first opened now today it was the last time I'm gonna order. The donuts were definitely at least a day or hold or maybe they were cooked this morning, but they were so stale that there was no way that we could eat them. It's so unfortunate. I kept trying hoping it was just bad timing in the past few times I went. So maybe it's just different and cost-effective for them not to make them fresh anymore. I don't know, but I was so bummed today . I bought two boxes and a Boba and it was 50 something dollars and just disappointed the whole way home. Hoping things will change. Sorry ... read more

The Korean Cheese-on-a-Stick were amazing.... BUT the ghetto music with So Much Cussing/F word made it a place I will never take my family or any friends to. 4.5 stars. The service is great. Everyone has always been very nice and attentive. The drinks are always a hit, the donuts are amazing, I haven't had the snacks yet and the hotdogs are mostly great. First off. You can't go wrong with the mochi donuts. They're light and fluffy and the mochi makes them wonderfully chewy. They offer a wide variety of flavors all of which are great. The drinks are really good. If you've had milk teas and boba drinks you know what to expect The hot cheetos hotdog is where it's at. Great flavor, nice and plump, perfect. I'd just skip the potato hotdogs and cheese sticks. I could taste the freezer burn on them. But that's the only issue I've ever had there. read more

Usually, dessert places that offer mochi donuts are found primarily in the Bay Area, so seeing this place open closer to my hometown, I was excited to try it. The donuts I ordered were yummy, and this business had a variety of flavors, unlike other mochi donut businesses, where they have a set amount of flavors every week. They also have Korean corn dogs on their menu, which was super exciting. I do wish they had more sauce options for their corn dogs though. This small business also had a cute photo backdrop for the foodie influencers. I would stop by this place again whenever I'm craving mochi donuts, but don't want to drive to SJ. read more

It may still be their soft opening... Music is loud. Opens at 11a. Arrived at 1120. Kiosk to order. Half the mochi items were "sold out" without any mention on the actual menu above the cashier. I placed my order hoping for 3 mochi donuts. Only thing is the don't start making the donuts until "about 1130-1145... It's just the policy". Umm. Why open at 11? There's no mention anywhere that start time is 30-45min after opening. Thankfully the employee asked me right away if I ordered mochi donuts. I confirmed and she disappeared for a second then came back to tell me about the make time. Cancelled my order and left. read more

The Korean Corn Dogs are good. Easy to order and pretty fast service. I'll be back soon to try more of the menu items.

Only come here if you have 1 hour to spare.. they take forever making the food. I waited about 30 min to get my corn dog only. I had ordered a corn dog and waffle fries $18+tip. the girl only handed me my corn dog after the 30 min nothing else. I waited 10 more minutes then decided to go ask for my fries. They were ready sitting on the table behind the register. I got in my car and opened the fries they felt practically frozen from how cold they were. At this point i'm annoyed because they took so long to give me my food and they give me some sorry ass fries that they just pulled out the freezer. So my boyfriend went back not even 5 min later to ask if they could give me new ones but the girl just said they have a "no return no exchange" policy. Which is so crazy considering they never would've gave me the fries if I didn't ask for them. Not only that the girls that work here seem very rude, no smiles at all and seem angry to be working there lol. don't come here ! read more

Went to try the Mochi donuts when they had their soft opening but they didn't have them. Came back yesterday and they have them now but was left feeling very underwhelmed. The donuts were overly greasy and didn't live up to the hype. I also ordered 3 different corn dogs which never came out with my order. I looked and they were just sitting on the counter in the back. Who knows how long I would have been waiting if I wouldn't have asked about them. The corn dogs were also disappointing since they had become cold from just sitting. I really wanted to like this place since it's the only thing like it in town but sadly I won't be back. Also for a place to be called Dessert Lounge, they really don't have many desserts, just the donuts and specialty drinks. read more

It's the only place in the Santa Cruz area that sells Korean corn dogs and they are VERY good. Their mochi and mochi donuts are great. Definitely 5 star in terms of the employees and food. I am going to mention some advice to the owners though: ( don't let this reflect the opinion of the food and employees because that's all amazing ) The name "desert lounge" is not an attractive name and doesn't represent the food they sell well at all. We almost didn't come there specifically because the name and decor of the outside had a tacky look to it. The inside: having grey curtains behind the counter and in front the kitchen make the whole operation seem sketchy to some people. It would be better to let people see what's going on in the background or get a solid wall built. ( I do understand that it is a new business and there is room for upgrades in the future ) the grey curtains make the location feel cramped and it could feel more open without them. You really need to re name and re do the outside the business to get your point across. Especially since the majority of watsonville speak Spanish and "desert lounge" doesn't explain the actual the products you are selling in an appetizing way. ( not saying it needs to be in Spanish or anything ) but desert lounge could be anything and I'm almost positive with a name change you could get more business. It may sound nit picky but I care that this business succeeds and a I hope it does because we need Korean corn dogs here!!! Thanks for the great food and service!! read more

Yummmm!! My daughter ordered the potato mozzarella and I had a Strawberry Mochi donut. Both were delicious and came out quickly.

If you name your establishment "Dessert Lounge" I can't resist coming in. The first time, it was during their grand opening and the menu was limited so I was not impressed. I gave another try more recently and loved the mochi donuts. They're so trendy in urban areas so it's nice to have it in Watsonville. There is a variety of flavors to choose from, enough to make many palates happy. In general mochi donuts are gluten free (rice flour), but you'll have to ask if certain flavors may have gluten. On the box, it also lists the neighboring Pho Kitchen, so looks like same owner or a collaboration. I noticed a young gal enjoying her hot Cheetos corn dog--not something I would like, but she sure seemed to love it. The ordering process is via a tablet but you can also order with a live person. There are only a few seats in this small place, so we took our donuts to go. It was full on a weekend afternoon. read more

My friend and I came on their first day open, It was pretty busy! I won't judge a lot of things on here since it was their first day open. However my friend ordered the korean corn dog with mozzarella, when she got it a while later it was not cooked fully through and there was no mozzarella. She preferred not to eat it. Her drink that she ordered never came out, so she asked and they said it didn't show up on their ticket. they made it and had it out a little while later. We both got the strawberry Italian Sodas, they were definitely pricey but came with strawberry chunks and it was good. The sealed cups are not a good one to use for carbonated drinks. I typically prefer a more simple italian soda but it was still good in my opinion! I ordered the cheddar fries, which I assumed would be fries with melted cheddar cheese. They were almost $8 with tax and all. They came out just with cheddar powder and were very simple. It was similar to the powder you use in a boxed mac & cheese. It definitely wasn't my thing, especially for $8. I understand if it is someone else's preference, but not for me. Inside the restaurant is cute, it's small but i assume it's mostly for takeout. I'm hoping along with some other minor errors that came with it being their first day open they continue to improve, i am very excited for the mochi donuts! read more
