Just an average boba store. They sell lot of cute boba related stuffs. Jasmine green tea with strawberry was pretty bland. Mango refresher was great but a bit too sweet even with 50% sugar.

So good! All 3 of us got jasmine milk tea (mine has cheese foam). It was all so delicious! Also the hair clips and plushies were super cute. Will definitely go back.

Pretty disappointed by this boba shop. It's locally owned and operated, so I wanted to like it... but it was honestly just not great quality. The Jasmine Milk Tea was standard. Weak tea quality. Not very floral. Very milky and 50% sweetness was fine to me. Not bad, but the boba wasn't the best. It tasted like the boba wasn't fresh and lacked sweetness a lot. The texture of the boba wasn't very QQ either. This is the only boba shop in Capitola, so I'll give it 3 stars for effort... UPDATE: The owner kindly reached out to me and offered a refund for the unsatisfactory drink. Since this is a local small business, I really do appreciate the customer management. Thank you, Cheryl! I look forward to giving this place a second chance someday. I hope to see good quality boba in Capitola soon :)

Popped in for a after lunch treat. The shop inside is cute and well decorated but my drink was disappointing. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea and my drink had no ice. After walking around and getting hot on the beach a refreshing drink sounded amazing so I was disappointed. I couldn't even finish my drink and honestly I should've asked for a refund. Maybe I caught them on an off day but doesn't ice come with these drinks?!?!

Stuck in what feels like a never ending chaotic rabbit hole tumbling down deeper and deeper into disappointment. As an Asian girl who loves her tea and boba drinks, i took a leap of faith and gave this place, " Boba Bay" a try. I ordered two drinks for delivery which i had tried to cancel after finding out that the cafe was all the way in Capitola. I called the middle man delivery company, "GrubHub" and unfortunately the order was already confirmed so there was nothing i could do and no accommodation given to me. The two drinks i ordered were the strawberry smoothie bowl, Oreo drink with oat milk, and the Strawberry Guava tea. The Oreo drink had to be the most disappointing boba style drink that i have ever had. The drink tasted like watered down oat milk from a gutter. Unfortunately not even the toppings of Oreo crumbles and whipped cream couldn't even save this drink. I asked for EZ boba because im in the process of becoming that girl during hot summer, but was unpleasantly surprised to have what seemed as even more boba than a regular serving. The boba wasn't sweet and there wasn't enough brown sugar and honey syrup. The strawberry Guava drink was the star of the show as the sweet, acidic, and refreshing essence of strawberries went along well with the guava nectar. The only complaint i have for this drink was that after drinking more and more there was this bitter taste that showed up uninvited to the party. At last all the pressure was on for this smoothie bowl to save my opinion of this attempt of a boba shop. Packed with lots of fresh and crunchy granola. Chia seeds, fresh strawberries and bananas i was pleasantly surprised. The smoothie part itself could have used more flavor as there wasn't much of a fruity essence given off while eating. That, and a drizzle of honey would have pulled this bowl all together. Overall this wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm also someone that's hard to please especially when it comes to boba drinks. Anything with fruit from here is fine, just don't order anything that's suppose to be milky and sweet and you could leave happy.

    Great!

Oh baby baby, I'm so glad there's finally another good boba shop that has finally opened in the Santa Cruz area. Boba Bay is a new, adorable shop that has opened up to appease all of us Asians that have wanted more tea shops in the area. Their aesthetic is super cute - loved the logo and the wall decor they have inside as well. They offer a variety of standard milk and fruit tea drinks, many of which you'll find in other places. They offer almond milk as an alternative but most milk teas already utilize a non-dairy creamer. I ordered a Jasmine Green Tea with boba, and it was a solid beverage as you'd expect from a boba shop. Prices here were quite steep (over $7 a drink) but it's likely a product of them being in Capitola Village. Regardless, I'm so happy to have another boba option available to me whenever I have a craving. Looking forward to returning again Boba Bay!

    Cute merch for sale!

Tried the fresh spring rolls, SO refreshing -- like a salad -- but with delicious and gluten-free peanut sauce. Loved it. Quite filling as the two rolls are chonky. Chased my rolls with an indulgent vegan GF lemon cake. Super lemony which is awesome. Dense and drier but so tasty, I don't mind a dense cake, actually. A huge hit! Will order both again!!! I took home the extra peanut sauce and used it on steamed potatoes, delicious. My father-in-law had a breakfast burrito which he took home half of, extra value, it's two meals. Hubby had the tofu scramble which was a bit dry, he added some of my peanut sauce to jazz it up. He wish he'd ordered his usual fave, the Bo Thai. But points for trying something new!

Butcher Counter at 41st Location is a Problem: The rest of…read morethis Whole Foods is genuinely great, and the staff throughout the store are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the butcher counter is a serious weak spot -- both in quality and service. On the craft side, the butchering is sloppy. The NY strip steaks are being cut from the nerve end of the loin, which any skilled butcher knows should be repurposed rather than sold as premium full strips. The pork chops have the same problem -- end cuts with that ragged, uneven "cap" where the muscle narrows are being sold right alongside uniform center-cut chops, at the same price, with no distinction made. These aren't nitpicky complaints; they're basic standards that a full-service butcher counter should meet. With one notable exception (there's one guy there who's actually great - tall, Caucasian, ~30 YOM), the service ranges from indifferent to actively rude. Expect to be ignored before anyone acknowledges you. If you order half a pound of ground beef, they'll grab two-thirds of a pound and start wrapping without asking, then get an attitude if you point it out. Ask for two pork chops and you might get one that's half the size of the other. Request specific pieces from the case and you'll be treated like you're being difficult. The biggest issue for me: they wrap chicken directly in butcher paper without a plastic bag first. I learned this the hard way when chicken juice leaked all over my refrigerator overnight. That's not just sloppy -- it's a food safety problem. I want to support this store, and I genuinely enjoy shopping there. But the butcher counter's combination of poor technique and poor service means I won't shop here if I need to buy meat. It's a real shame.
