The view from this restaurant is just so amazing We ordered Roti Kanai, Tom Yum soup, Masamman curry with tofu with a side of brown rice. And the yummy sticky rice with mango. We visited this restaurant last Saturday, April 11, because we were very hungry and it was the nearest Asian spot to us. We were a group of 7 and 3 kids. My 16-month-old son is very active, as most toddlers are. He was walking around while I stayed close to him, trying my best to keep him from grabbing things. Unfortunately, he pulled on a small bell by the door and broke the string. I immediately apologized for what happened. What really disappointed me was the reaction from the cashier/server. Instead of handling the situation with understanding, she seemed visibly upset and made several comments, including telling me to "control your kid." That was honestly upsetting and unnecessary. Anyone who has a toddler knows that it's not that simple, and parents are already doing their best to manage situations like this. Good food can easily be overshadowed by poor customer service. Comments about someone's parenting, especially without understanding the situation, are uncalled for. Because of this experience, I don't feel comfortable coming back. I hope the staff can be more mindful and respectful toward families in the future. read more

Very cute unique to the area Thai food! We tried the Chiang Mai Sausage, pad Thai Tom Yum (Thai spicy), Thai iced tea with boba and home made taro dairy free ice cream. The Chang Mai sausage was familiar yet different with regard to the spices. Mild chili and lemongrass in a good pork sausage cooked tender. The Pad Thai Tim Yum was spicy and sweet. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and juicy. Great spicy food heat! The taro ice cream is sweet and delicious. New owner, beautiful food, amazing service, lovely atmosphere and interior and gorgeous views from our table at the window plus the happy Erica and her team made our Friday evening in Capitola memorable and loads of fun. The food - every single item was prepared from scratch. Erica told us when we popped our heads in at 7:50 pm to kindly be there by 8:10 or so to truly enjoy the sit down meal. The Thai iced coffee served in a big glass was fresh and perfect- not too sweet. The veg pot stickers were delicious. So hot on the inside and with fantastic seasoning on the vegetables inside plus the dipping sauce with the hint of fresh tamarind- wow! The tofu veg yellow curry was smooth. The Pad See Ew had that fantastic and addicting smoky and charred flavor. The coconut rice( does not come w the entree) was delectable and the brown rice just so good. The rice was prepared fresh after our order. A great ensemble. The views from our window table- outstanding! The service - the best. Erica really spoiled us with so much love and care. Loved her interaction and laughs with the happy lady chef who came out around 8:50 pm as we were finishing up. Since neighboring restaurant Shadowbrook was completely full ( no shocker here since it was Christmas Day ) we decided to take our chances finding somewhere to dine at Capitola Beach. And again no surprise here-the majority of the restaurants were closed except for My Thai Beach. We arrived early enough to get seated as the place continuously had guests coming in. The food was very yummy. We ordered chicken rolls, calamari, crispy chicken, both regular pad Thai and duck pad Thai, Tom kha soup, sesame balls, and a variety of boba drinks. Nothing disappointed. I am seriously impressed by the cuisine at My Thai Beach on the Capitola Beach. We ate there two nights in a row, and I'm delighted to say the food was consistently good both nights. The food was bright, prepared with care, fresh, flavorful and well-balanced. This was no gloppy, sloppy imitation of Thai flavors. It is mindfully prepared, honoring the fresh ingredients. There are several duck dishes on the menu and I went full duck each night. The duck larb was slices of roasted duck dressed with a delicious, balanced dressing of lime juice, fish sauce, roasted rice powder and aromatics, and served with vibrant fresh slices of red onion and sweet seasonal tomatoes. The duck noodle soup was equally carefully constructed. A delicious clear broth, slices of that succulent duck, brilliant green baby spinach leaves, green onion, and fine wheat noodles. This is new ownership only a few months old, so ignore earlier reviews of a different team. The place itself is kind of funky and it's right on the beach. There are 2 tables that look out on the charming Capitola beach. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'll be back to try more of the menu. read more

Good, affordable, and if you sit by the window, offers views of the pier. On every trip, I try to get at least one Thai spot in and this place happened to be open and had no wait. It definitely looks like a very small mom and pop shop that sells a mix of Thai and Viet food. I opted for their jalapeno rangoons, tom kha soup, and pad Thai. Everything came out quick and piping hot! The rangoons were your typical cream cheese fried rangoons, loved it. Tom kha soup definitely felt like it was a little lacking in flavor so I added some of their chili oil that was on the table. Fair warning, that chili oil is/can be super spicy depending on how much you add. Although I loved that chili oil and kind of wish I had asked to purchase a container of it to take home. The pad Thai itself was pretty good sized, but definitely was a bit overcooked because the noodles really all stuck to each other. The one lady working was really sweet! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Me and my boyfriend just were walking down Esplanade street and decided to try this place out. I will say we were beyond impressed with how good the basil fried rice was and would definitely recommend. My favorite Thai restaurant in the county! I just discovered them a month ago and I have had take out 3 times now. The food is very tasty and the ingredients are fresh. Parking is very easy with plenty of room in the village. Twice I have gone in for take out and once I got delivery. Both times going inside I was greeted with efficiency and kindness. Being right on the water you would think they would have more than just two windows to see out of. Tables were dirty. Place was dark and had a weird smell. They had a oddly place coach in the middle of the restaurant. The food was good, not great! The service was hit and miss. Older couple helped me possibly the owners. They were slow to seat me. When we visited their POS is not working so instead of focusing on the customer on their wait time, much time is spent on making sure the balance is correct, tables are not cleaned, service is compromised. What should probably have been done is limit the number of customers coming in or close the store for awhile. We saw other customers leave. The view though on 2 tables are beautiful due to the ocean. Street parking or parking lots nearby. Accepts credit/debit. My verdict: not highly recommended but you could try for yourself read more

I would give it 10 stars if I could. I love this place. Here's why: 1. Good, authentic Thai food. I love their pineapple curry, pumpkin curry, pad thai, homemade ice cream, and more. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants. Unlike many, they use fresh ingredients, low salt, clean taste, and good portions. 2. Warm, friendly people. They are some of the nicest human beings you'll meet. I left my wallet today at home. I was super hungry after surfing for almost 3 hours. I walked in and asked if I could pay via Venmo, to which they said I could pay next time when I visit. What businesses do that today? One of the best dinners in the Santa Cruz area. No one else was here, yet it felt comfortable and safe. Amazing service, even better food. Yummy boba tea and Vietnamese Coffee. Key takeaway's: * Green Curry $16 was tasty but not the OG ingredients you'd find in a authentic Thai green curry dish. For instance, they added frozen veggies (carrots, broccoli, and bell peppers). Typical green curry has bamboo, eggplant, lemon grass, etc. this has none. * Curry was served in paper plate which was very bad. Towards the end of the bowl, the bowl actually started tearing off into our curry. I wasn't sure what I was eating until I noticed the bottom of the bowl (please refer to my pictures to show what I mean). I've informed the owner and he seemed to know exactly what I was talking about so hopefully this change this. * Cleanliness should be improved upon...found stains on the seats and edges of table were dirty with accrued oil * Overall taste wasn't too bad...just not green curry I was expecting and I'm a huge curry enthusiast! * Arrived around 12 on a Saturday, it was completely empty. read more

Yummm! Stopped in to get some boba drinks for our friends to take to go. We got about 4 drinks honeydew lychee and thai tea. Everything was fresh delicious and the drink portion size is huge.
