We usually do takeout at Asian Kitchen 1, and Luanne is so friendly, and the service is great. Our favorite is the fried chicken wings, and they are so good, super crispy and delicious. We have also had walnut shrimp, orange chicken, mushu vegetable, Mongolian beef, beef with broccoli, and so many other dishes. They are all exceptionally yummy. They will also accommodate you if you have special needs, like low salt or want to convert a dish to vegetarian. I have often ordered Kung Pao vegetable, and that's wonderful. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. read more

Really consistent food, and friendly staff. Love the prawns!! FYI: the egg flower/egg drop soup has chicken meat in it. Unusual. and not mentioned that it has pieces of chicken in it on the menu. Chicken broth is normal. Chicken meat doesn't belong. read more

They are doing both mostly Chinese Food with a few Vietnamese phö soups and fresh shrimp spring rolls. Which is pretty much what I ordered. They ran out of basil and swapped it out with cilantro. The beef broth was really good. The service was good and Seated promptly. The tea was interesting as it came in a paper cup instead of a regular ceramic cup or teapot & cup. The spring roll were large and tasty with a pre package sauce. The restaurant looks like it was remodel with nice Asian accents. Note: Closed on Mondays. We stopped by this restaurant on our way to Monterey and it was so yummy! We had the chow fun and combination lunch plate with soup/broth. Everything was good and flavorful. The owners there are super nice and hospitable. They checked in on us, gave our young boys snacks to munch on while we waited for our food, and they talked to us for some time so we got to know them and their background. Best Chinese food I've had in years! I ordered house chow mein, pork fried rice, sweet & sour pork, king Pao chicken. I also ordered the Mongolian beef and that's the only complaint I have is that the portion was small on that. I give them 4.5. Great service also. read more

I'm not from the area but I cam down to visit some friends for the weekend. We decided to come to Asian Kitchen 1 for lunch and I must say the food here is very delicious. Though Chinese food consists a lot of oil, this place makes their food w just the perfect amount of oil. Not too much and not too little. After eating here it didn't made me feel icky like the other Chinese food places I've been to. 10/10. Food wise: my favorite was the WONTON SOUP!!! Wonton soup was spectacular along with Walnut shrimp. Love their stir fried noodles also!! Drinks: BOBA!! They had boba milk tea here and it was delightful with our meal :)!! I was welcomed by the friendly owner and she allowed us to sit down to look at the menu. (The place was clean and relaxing.) We ordered: Lunch Special - Mongolian Beef with plain fried rice; Chicken Chow Fun; Szechuan Three Delight; Wonton Soup; Mango Smoothie. As we waited for our food, the owner was so kind that she brought us a small appetizer of plain fried rice, soup, and water - she even gave my daughter a lollipop! Her customer service is excellent! Food Review: Plain fried rice - literally plain with no vegetables and no meat but the flavor was good. 4/5 Mongolian Beef - Tasty. 5/5 Chicken Chow Fun - Very tasty, crunchy with the bean sprouts, but there were more bean sprouts than noodles IMO. 4/5 Szechuan Three Delight - Highly recommend if you like spicy and you get shrimp, chicken and beef with vegetables. 5/5 (my favorite so far) Wonton Soup - Tasty wontons. 3/5. More like tough pow We got vegetable chow mein .. no flavor The egg rolls were delicious We got sweet and sour chicken ( chicken was dry and some pieces seemed old or over breaded couldn't say for sure We got sezchuan beef because it was the spicy one.. yeah no spicy and little flavor.. I guess once you have been to Tommy's Wok in Carmel .. chinese food other places is a real let down.. Here is the cool ending.. I called just to let them know a few items had no flavor or tasted old.. I didn't expect anything but felt compelled to inform them due to friends suggesting this place. They offered to make those dishes free of charge to give them another try.. I called the next day in the attempt to order dinner and have a couple items thrown in to give the place another solid try with other items we may actually like..
