Cream cheese won ton

I'm always trying more dishes from their menu and am never disappointed. The service is wonderful. It's a place where the owner will learn your name and makes you feel welcome. We always order extra to take home and she always provides extra rice. She really takes care of us. I'm grateful for having this place in our community. Please support this business! My favorites are the Wor won ton soup, the bbq pork, and the sizzling seafood plate.

Spring Rolls

Asian Kitchen 1 - Prunedale, California. Across the way from Stevie's Restaurant in the Prunetree Shopping Center. Recently opened. Family run operation from the San Jose. They are doing both mostly Chinese Food with a few Vietnamese phö soups and fresh shrimp spring rolls. Which is pretty much what I ordered. They ran out of basil and swapped it out with cilantro. The beef broth was really good. The service was good and Seated promptly. The tea was interesting as it came in a paper cup instead of a regular ceramic cup or teapot & cup. The spring roll were large and tasty with a pre package sauce. The restaurant looks like it was remodel with nice Asian accents. Note: Closed on Mondays. I am looking to go back to try the Chinese food menu.

Drove 30 mins for Chinese and it did not disappoint. Will gladly make the drive again. Food was delicious and flavorful. Loan's Service was outstanding and so welcoming.

As we entered, this strip center restaurant was a little sparse on decor. Two TV's enabled us to watch the 49'rs which was a big plus. Jaden was our host and server. Great young man. He was vested in making our experience as positive as possible. He told us what the most popular and his favorite dishes. We wanted to try many dishes so Jaden made sure the kitchen didn't fire everything all at once. We started with the Lumpia's (5/5). The 4 rolls comes with an interesting (in a good way) sauce that enhances the flavor of the Lumpia. This is a must-try for newbies. Next Jaden brought the alacarte garlic noodles (4/5), and the Cajun shrimp served over garlic rice (6/5). The garlic shrimp was one of my favorite dishes. The rice was like the best fried rice I'd ever had. The large grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly. We then tried the Cajun Parmesan chicken wings served with garlic fries (4/5). The wings could have been crispier, but the tasty sauce made the skin soft. Next came the kung pao chicken served over white rice (4/5) and the Mongolian steak served over white rice (4/5). Both were good, there just wasn't anything special about either dish. This restaurant is a must-try for folks living in Monterey County. All the dishes had great flavor and if you like garlic, you'll love this place. Jaden shared with us that the business is owned by a local chef who has worked at some of the high end restaurants around Monterey County, but is now blazing his own trail. Come support this local chef and small business. You won't be disappointed with these asian fusion dishes.

I ordered takeout on Saturday just to try this place out and ordered 4 items: Chicken chow mein,…read moresweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, and orange chicken. The total came out to be $65?! And it's just insane given the portion they give. They were really nice and welcoming and the ambiance of the place is so warm and cozy (: as for the food, out of the four that I got, I definitely recommend the chow mein and the beef and broccoli! The chow mein was just overall really good and the beef and broccoli has a great savory and sesame taste which made it so good. The orange chicken def has a stronger orange scent than I'm used to (should be obvious that it would've tasted like orange. Chicken). The sweet and sour was good! No comment on that. Definitely more sweet than sour no I don't have any problem with that. Definitely will be trying other options they have here, but would definitely get the chow mein and beef and broccoli again though!

It looks and feels like a family owned restaurant. My food was served quickly even though the restaurant was about half full. The food was way above average. All the ingredients in my broccoli chicken tasted fresh and had a great taste. The steamed rice (I'm not much of a fried rice fan) was fresh and tender with good color (brownish or yellow colored white rice is a tell tale sign of non-fresh rice) The service was quick and attentive. The server was friendly and helpful with answering questions about the menu and making suggestions. I ordered off the relatively large "Lunch Special" menu. I'd recommend Jim's and will be back. I'm intrigued by the sweet & sour pork!

The ingredients all feel of high quality and the dishes are unique, and fun! The ambience of the restaurant itself is that of a bar, with dimmer lighting, but without overtly loud music, making it great for a casual hangout or date! If you want to come just for drinks, they have an extensive drink menu, including designated dates and times for happy hour (tiki hour?) with a special menu with small appetizers to enjoy with your drink. During my last visit, I ordered the jerk pork plate which came with pulled spicy pork, coconut rice, a gingery cole slaw, fried sweet plantains (perfect contrast to the spicy pork), and a small piece of a Johny cake (imagine a corncake that is a little crispy). We also ordered the coconut shrimp rolls to share and wish we would have ordered a second plate! These were filled with small pieces of shrimp, wrapped in a crunchy (but not very oily) shell, and topped with shredded coconut. They were served alongside a sweet and sour pineapple sauce (delicious, but honestly the rolls tasted great even without the sauce). My dad ordered fish of the day (he chose Mahi mahi) encrusted in macadamias and loved it! It is nice that they offer options that feel more like a sit-down restaurant than strict "bar food." I hope to return to try more things on their menu! Maybe even for a little Friday night fun drink!

We shared an appetizer of calamari. It's not really the kind of calamari I like it's a calamari steak. I prefer the tentacles and the rings. I would prefer if they use Panko rather than the heavy breaded covering that they use. It's not fine cuisine but it's a very fun and very noisy place. don't come here if you want to have a conversation.

The restaurant is located on the lowest level of the Carmel Plaza, I really loved the location because there are plenty of places to park right around there. Between the two of us, we shared: - Miso cacio e pepe: we came specifically for this! It's one of their most well known dishes, and I highly highly recommend! So creamy and savory, and the mafaldine pasta has such a nice texture, the ruffled edges hold on to sauce perfectly. We also added a bit of gochujang that came with the bibimbap and it was so good with some spice. - Dolsot bibimbap: my husband's favorite Korean dish so of course we had to get it! An excellent variety of veggies, which was nice since we barely got any veg on vacation. The kalbi beef was so juicy and delicious, and not overcooked. - Matcha Tiramisu: absolute must get, so unique. The cake layers were soaked in matcha, and topped off with some fresh fruit. - Grapefruit sake spritz: I was on the fence between this cocktail and the yuzu champagne spritz. Our waitress said that the grapefruit spritz was much less sweet, and I am so glad I decided to go with that option! It was the perfect amount of sweetness, not overwhelming. Overall, my husband and I agreed that the matcha tiramisu was the best bite either of us had all weekend!
