We were craving Boba tea so we came into happy lemon. I went with the dirty tea and my son went with a mango smoothie. Both were very good nice and cold and hit the spot. There's plenty of seating if you want to stay in the restaurant and enjoy your drink. They also have outdoor seating if it's your preference. Service was ok.

Came in on a weekday around late afternoon and wasn't busy! Menu is a single sheet that is on a table that's in the middle, as well as one by the counter where you pay. The worker was very kind when taking our order! Inside of the store is pretty neat. Enough 4 table seatings. After ordering, our drinks came out really fast! A total of 4 drinks were ordered... 1. Mango yakult smoothie: 9.5/10 - this was really good! Tasted kind of like a mangonada without the spices and chamoy. Don't know if I could really taste the yakult. Got this at 75% sweetness and it was perfect! Smoothie wasn't too thick, just right 2. Lemon yakult slushy: 7/10 - this comes with lychee jello, which was yum! The drink itself is really sour and lemon-y, the yakult was definitely overpowered by the lemon flavor. If you don't really like super sour drinks, wouldn't recommend this. My sister didn't enjoy but I thought it was good 3. Passion mango green tea: 4/10 - this tasted sort of artificial and perfume-y. The fruit flavors were lacking and the drink was bitter. The tea is definitely present, would prefer this to be sweeter 4. Strawberry shortcake smoothie: 5/10 - presentation of this drink was so cute but I didn't really enjoy it. I've had better strawberry shortcake drinks elsewhere. Wasn't too bad, but lighter in flavor than I prefer Overall, the drinks were alright. Drinks alone, I'd give it 3/5 stars. They could definitely be better, but the service inside was nice and really quick so 4/5 stars
The cashier was very nice and friendly. He helped me right away. One of my drinks as little made in seconds. The second drink was a blended with lemon rinks, I think I've finally come to the conclusion that that's just not for me. The cashier was able to add sweetener to my drink which made it better but still very sour. I ordered lemon honey green tea and a classic milk tea. The music was playing which gave it good vibe.
Came here for a refreshing drink after walking around the outlets. We got the Mango green tea with mango boba and mango yakult and both were good. Just wish you could customize more. Service was quick and plenty of seating. Would definitely come back.
Employees don't look happy working at the location. Decided to try this location to see if it compares to other locations around the Bay Area. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you want anything matcha related. No size selection when choosing the drinks. Their matcha drink definitely tastes watered down. The waffle, I would say that it's a solid choice. If you do come here, I would recommend just sticking to the tea based drinks. Ambiance wise, maybe I just went when there were a lot of kids through the n word nonchalantly, they don't identify themselves as one, but definitely more for a place where high schoolers can hang out there.
I know Happy Lemon is a chain / franchise... so I try to rate them all based on individual experiences. That being said, this location was a mess. (I visited a few weeks ago). Ironically enough, there were no customers inside when I went in, but I didn't let that deter me. However, the tables and floors were so messy! Almost as if a stampede of messy kiddos had just tore this place up. I brought my mom here for her first ever bubble waffle and it was kind of a let down to have her experience it in this messy environment. Not to mention that the staff working that night were not welcoming or friendly and seemed very irritated to be working at that moment--which is a bit of a bummer as well. (I do hope things got better for them that night, however!) All in all, the bubble waffle was served hot and was delicious. My mom was thrilled with this new culinary experience and I look forward to taking her back, perhaps to a different location. I'm still very much a Happy Lemon fan, but I'm not sure if I'll return to this location or not. Fingers crossed for timely improvement!
yelp and google said its open but once i arrived on a Friday at 4:30pm the doors are LOCKED.. doordash and grubhub are still open and you can still buy.. waited for 15 mins it's still closed. if the workers are on break there should be a sign that says they are, otherwise this store needs to update all their hours if they are closed because this was a waste of time..
I don't come here often so this is the first time I've seen tables and chairs being used. I'd say it's about time! We came from track meet and it was sooo hot (in the 80s) so we wanted a cold drink on the way home. We ordered through yelp as we didn't want to waste and more time and so we can be on our way but no, big mistake. This order took way longer than the ones placed at the store. This order took over half an hour and despite me telling the employee, upon arrival, and as I was ordering food, and then again when I picked up the food- about our order. Each time they acknowledged me and said it's coming. Empty response? Poor comprehension? Because despite the multiple notifications they still put the drinks in the fridge. Finally, I asked again (4th time!!!) and told them I think they put it in the fridge!!! And yes, they did! I saw them do it! I, however, had too much faith in them and thought it's not mine since I've already told them three times!! So we got our drinks and they missed the sweetness level in my order. It was too sweet that I had a headache afterwards. Hmm so for this I think I'll lower the rating to one star.
Love coming to happy lemon, one of my favorite boba places. I got their new 2025 drink Oreo and sky cream tea-Puccino. Ugh it was so good it came with boba and lychee jelly which I love lychee. I always love trying out their new flavors when ever they come out. There is one that I have not liked yet. Service is always great, staff is super friendly and welcoming.
Happylemon is my absolute favorite boba tea spot ever! I love the gilroy location because the ambiance is so nice and the servers are really quick. Theres so many drinks to choose from, and their salted cheese is the best (don't knock it till you try it) I highly highly recommend going to happylemon if you're looking for delicious drinks :)
Took some friends visiting from out of town to shop at the outlets. It was a super hot day but glad there was a Happy Lemon in the plaza to help cool us down. As always, I ordered my go - green tea with salted cheese. I ordered online and waited outside with my pup and they were pretty quick with my order despite it being a busy afternoon. read more
I ordered one of the popular drinks, Okinawa tea with boba. 25% sweetness is still very sweet. The boba is too overly sweet and it may have sat for a while, it's not as chewy and rather hard. Also, this is the first boba shop that only gave very little boba, like a tablespoon. I bought boba because I like to chew the boba, not for the drink. Location is in Gilroy outlet shop. I think I won't come back to Happy Lemon. read more

A1 Green Tea with Salted Cheese and boba. This is my go-to here at Happy Lemon after many years wondering why this place was so popular with others. Now, I know why. I'll come here every so often when I'm craving for a boba drink and I'm nearby shopping at Costco in Gilroy. This location is conveniently located in one of the Gilroy Outlet plazas and provides very quick service. I plan to come back here again and again when I'm in need of a boba fix. read more

This was a very good spur of the moment stop! I wanted boba but I'm visiting friends in Gilroy so I had no idea where to go. Enter Yelp!!! I simply found the place on Yelp online. It happened to be along my route. It is in the Gilroy outlets strip mall. Extremely easy to navigate to. The indoors were very clean and well kept. It actually appeared to be pretty new. As soon as I walked in I was asked if I could be helped. The 2 employees working were both extremely nice. I told them that my usual was just to get a thai tea with boba or a Mango Green tea. They said they had both of those options but their menu actually had some enticing new things. No Popping boba... but a lot of other options. They have lemon slush which appears to be exactly what it sounds like. And they make that in a variety of different ways. I did not try that although it sounded a super refreshing at yummy. I ended up getting the Orange Mango milk tea with crystal boba. It did not disappoint by any means. I was Initially a bit cautious because the worker said that it had a pretty potent fragrance. To me that meant floral. He said it was not floral though and let me actually try the flavor. It was absolutely Delicious. I swooped that up very quickly. They made it very prompt. The large cup comes with the classic boba seal. It had fantastic flavor with Orange rinds actually in it. I will definitely be back to this area as I visit the Bay area in the future. I am a boba snob this place does not disappoint. Try something new. read more

Me and my Friend visited Happy Lemon Gilroy for the first time last July 31, 2025. Drinks were okay I don't have complain with that. And the 2 bubble waffle we order looks different and cashier put a tip in my receipt without my consent... I usually give tips cash. I dont include it in my purchased products. I asked the cashier about the tips that she included but she ignore me. And she didn't even say sorry. read more

Not a huge fan of the cheese foam drinks mainly because of the mix of flavors so I normally go with the mango freeze drink with mango bits. I tried the egg puff at this particular location and would say it was really good, soft and chewy in the center. BUT i ordered it with boba filling and was charged for it and didnt receive any filling.... I checked all the puffs and was sadly disappointed bc I wanted to try it with boba. You might ask why I didnt go back after realizing there was no filling.. well they let me know it will take around 8 mins for the egg puffs which was fine but I actually waited 20 mins total for my order of egg puffs and mango freeze. There was only 2 people in front of me and everyone was just standing around waiting for their drinks for 15+ mins. Im not sure what was taking so long but i was not about to wait another 20 mins just to get filling on the egg puffs. read more

I have been here many times in the past year and not ONCE have they had their chicken available. Don't have it on the menu if you won't EVER have it AVAILABLE. Come ON people. This makes me SICK. Waffles are okay though, but they hurt my stomach. Nearly shat myself last time. Get it together HAPPY LEMON GILROY. YOU need to do BETTER. read more

Please note my review is based off the drink alone I've ordered multiple drinks from his happy lemon and I live and stand by Oreos. Being that, this drink wasn't it at all. It was very "watery" per say. The small clumps of oreos in the drink was little to none. I also have a sweet tooth, so this drink didn't meet my liking. Aside from that, the service was very fast. Stopped by for a bubble tea drink, wasn't sure what to get but ended up getting the iced green tea w salted foam and boba. I got a regular size, sweetness level was automatically chosen. I would say its more on the sweeter side. It was superrrr delicious, boba was super soft, salted foam was creamy and airy. Wish I had the option to add more ice but other than that I loved the drink! Another yummy boba franchise out of TW. The fried tofu is so good. Minor gripe is salty plum doesn't really taste like salty plum powder though- the five spice powder is overpowering. The salty cheese teas are deliciously creamy. The kids loved their ube taro milk- I forgot to ask for reduced sugar and personally thought it was too sweet and had a sort of artificial vanilla flavor that seems prominent in many Asian snacks that I'm not a fan of. Their fruit teas are good- I'd ask for less or no ice otherwise a few sips and all that's left is ice. Friendly and efficient staff. Ambience leaves much to be desired though- electronic menu appeared to be down when I went recently, floors are always super sticky and windows and other clear surfaces look like they've never been wiped down in their life. Otherwise a solid place to fill boba and bubble waffle craving in the South Valley. read more

This happy lemon is in the corner next to Forever 21 in the outlets! The employees are very nice and they're pretty quick on making your drinks. I usually get A1. (Green tea w salted cheese) with 50% sweetness for something refreshing or the A7. (matcha latte tiramisu) when I want something more dense and milky! read more
