My husband and I stopped by here on a whim as we were here visiting family. I had the Sunrise breakfast bagel and added jalapeño cream cheese. It was delicious. The bagel was crispy, the eggs were fluffy and the cream cheese was the right amount of spicy. The prices are okay, maybe a tad high, but not terrible. The lobby is cluttered with supplies that should be stored away someplace, but otherwise clean. The young man working the front counter was a delight. He checks all the boxes for quality customer service. He was polite and wore a huge smile as a warm and welcoming invitation to the store. Where things went down hill was with the older gentleman in the back. Im assuming maybe the owner. He came out to the front and tripped over a fan and proceeded to throw a hissy fit about it and other items cluttering the area. I then witnessed him bringing drinks and orders to the front for customers and he continuously wears a smug look on his face and is not very polite. Completely unprofessional. I think this place needs to do one of two things. Keep this guy in the back out of view and ear shot of customers. Or, the better option. Learn from his young man running the register on how to be polite, grateful for your customers and be engaging in a polite and positive manner. I showed up to Blazing Bagels at 2:57 PM. They're supposed to close at 3, but the doors were already locked. Someone was clearly in the back -- I knocked on the door and even called the store while standing outside, but they ignored me and refused to answer. If your hours say 3 PM, customers should be served up until 3, not shut out a few minutes early. It's unprofessional, disrespectful of people's time, and shows a lack of care for customers. So delicious! This is a bit of a hidden gem in Gilroy but it's got a drive through if you're passing by on your way out of town on 152. Fresh perfect texture bagels and great sandwich toppings. I had a New Yorker classic. It was so fresh and flavorful piled with salmon and onion and tomato with cream cheese all in perfect proportion. Then I had this amazing bagel based dessert with peaches and cinnamon heated with cream cheese as well. Heaven. Great coffee too! Check it out! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I had a really frustrating experience here. I waited 40 minutes for my food and drink, and when I asked about it, I was just told "your order is next" but that still took another 10 minutes! No updates, no apology, just waiting around. Then when I finally got my food, my drink wasn't even made. When I asked about it, the response was just "sorry, I forgot"... and when they did make it, it was super sticky on the outside, like you could tell it was rushed and not even wiped down. . Honestly, I get that things can get busy, but if there's a long wait, at least let customers know upfront. There were plenty of staff behind the counter, and better communication would've made a big difference. Hope they can work on the customer service and organization, because the food OR drink itself wasn't worth the wait. read more

I accidentally found while going to Gilroy CostCo Gas Station in a Sunday morning. I like bagels and not just your regular cream cheese in a packet you get at Starbucks. Different variations to choose from. One of the staff, Amanda, has a kind disposition and communication was encouraged between us. The hot chocolate, however, tasted with sour milk. If I could rate negative, I would. Honestly, I would've given this place a 4 star rating before the incident that happened earlier today. I ordered a bagel sandwich this morning and right before I took a bite or my sandwich, I noticed half a USED bandaid stuck to the melted cheese of my bagel. We immediately returned the sandwich because ew but when we gave it to the employee, she did not even react. She was not surprised or apologetic - she just asked if we wanted a refund or another sandwich. We got the refund. I'm not understanding how they don't understand that this proves their employees are not doing their job at handling food health and safety and they're obviously not wearing gloves while handling the food. Food is a five star. Staff during the week are mostly a five star. But whoever the heck the woman is they have working the weekends is terrible. She cannot hear, asking multiple times for customers to repeat their order, she's impatient, and even frustrates her coworkers (they can hear the customers but she cannot and you can hear them yelling at her about it). Last week I arrived 8 minutes before closing, she simply says "hello" on the speaker. I begin ordering. She says "blahblahbkahblah souwqgo". I asked "are you saying there is no sourdough?" She says "we close at 3". And I was just like huh? So I said "ok are you taking my order or are you closed?" She says "yes I take your order I just telling you we don't have sourdough". I could have simply ordered a plain bagel two minutes ago but instead of answering my question about the sourdough she started this unnecessary line of dialogue about their closing time....Today she cut us off and told us to pull to the window to order, preventing us from being able to look at the menu and order so we just left. I hate to give a bad review but she's just so rude and horrible to have to deal with. We ordered the Morning Star (added ham), The New Yorker, Ham and Cheese, and two regular bagels. The Morning Star was good and filled me up. I would recommend that if you don't know what to order. This morning I had a few errands to run and wanted to get a breakfast bagel. I was in the neighborhood of Gilroy 10th street and visited Blazin Bagelz. I went through the drive through and placed my order of one breakfast sandwich and small coffee. As I pulled away I parked and noticed my sandwich was not what I ordered. I immediately went back in and associate apologized and made it right. Look this happens and we are human, mistakes happen. However as I was waiting a male employee comes from the back yelling profanities to a customer at the drive through. The employee was apparently agitated by the customer as he was yelling to just give me your Fucken order! I hope he muted the device and the customer did not hear what the employee was saying. As a customer inside hearing this and seeing the other employees reaction, I was visibly upset. This is not acceptable and I hope the team at Blazin Bagelz reads this and learns from it. I appreciate the hard work employees in the retail and food industry and they all deserve respect not only from customers but from their leadership team. read more

So, the concept of this place is pretty simple. They sell bagels. However, it'd be a shame to limit them to that alone. They make adult sized bagel bites, jam packed sandwiches and can even substitute their offerings with a croissant (albeit not true to their trademarked name). No matter what you order, have no doubt that it will come to you hot, stuffed full of ingredients and full of flavor. They have a decent selection of flavored bagels and spreads but the combinations are truly endless. I have visited a few times based on sheer curiosity but haven't tried much in the menu just yet... but we'll see what happens. Pastrami & Swiss Bagel Sandwich $7: One of their lunchy-type bagels. Came here today after a trail run and so glad we did. We got the new yorker and the blazin turkey sandwhich plus a funky mocha monkey drink. Each of the bagel sandwiches were very good...fresh ingredients, and good meat ratios to give the sandwiches the perfect amount of everything in each bite. A bagel place with drive thru?! Curious George here! We parked and walked instead. They have ample parking space. Such a cool place! Nice decor and color scheme. Well lit and awesome staff. They have a breakfast selection as well as their specialty ones. I knew exactly what I wanted in the breakfast section- The Sunrise! It's bacon, eggs and mozzarella cheese. Pretty basic and healthy. It tastes really good. With my chosen garlic bagel I'm good to go! They emphasize healthy and hearty and I say they hit their mark! No mayo or other stuff to bother your palette.
