When I walked into this place a little after they opened in the morning, this place was packed. I see that I wasn't the only one craving dim sum on a Saturday morning. I had some juicy dumplings, beef wrapped in rice noodle, and wonton noodle soup. Overall, I thought the dim sum was alright. The staff was friendly, efficient and quick with adding great fresh flavor to the dishes. Wait time was great but wondered if service would still be the same with a lot of customers. The food - delicious! Everything tasted fresh! The portions and quantity were great. The prices were decent for the times. Each dish was around $5.69-$5.99 for 8 dishes plus the tip, our total came out to $60 and it can probably feed 3 semi hungry adults but only 2 super hungry adults. The ones that stood out were the Siu Mai, Chicken Feet, Fry Culler & Rice Roll, Ham Sui Gok (glutinous minced meat) and my personal fave - Red Bean Filled Sesame Balls! Wait....was that everything we ordered? Nope, the ones that were just ok included the Tripe with Ginger and Onions (the flavor was quite mild), the Crystal Shrimp dumpling I thought was ok (rice wrap may have been a little thick), Garlic Spare Ribs w/ taro, were just ok. I've eaten here a few times now. The first time I went, I felt rushed when I went as a solo patron, but service has since improved. It's a small restaurant, and they are always busy during peak at hours, which is why I try to avoid going during those times when I can. The reason for the lines is because their food is truly good. I can't say that I've been disappointed by anything that I've had here so far. If you are hoping to come here with a big party, I would recommend against it as the restaurant mainly has small tables and booths. We were craving dim sum and we hadn't even had it since we moved in the area. We used to live near Arcadia so there were tons of great options. We came here on New Year's Day and were stoked there wasn't a wait. They didn't have all of our favorites, but a pretty good selections. We ordered the #2 siu mai (2 orders, our fav), #4 Shanghai soup dumplings (2 orders, our 2nd fav), #5 garlic spare ribs w/taro, #7 sticky rice, #16 beef rice role (yum!), #20 seaweed roll, #21 ham sui gok, #24 garlic shrimp egg rolls, and #30 chinese kale. Our favorites were the siu mai and shanghai soup dumplings. My least favorite were the egg rolls. I LOVED that they had huy fong sriracha sauce. It's my favorite and I haven't seen it in stores for ages. Service was okay. They were friendly, but not very attentive. Food came out pretty quickly, but they forgot to enter a few, so when we were tracking what had arrived we had to ask and wait a bit. It would have been helpful if they kept the order on the table like the other dim sum restaurants. Beverages are pretty limited, so we stuck to water and hot tea. We had to refill the water ourselves a couple times and they never came back to ask if we wanted more hot tea. Overall, it was pretty good. Finally a place that serves Congee, pork and preserved eggs! Anyone reading this, this porridge has a ton of flavor, so don't get discouraged. The closest place I could get this was chino hills. I placed an order for pick up, and the lady I spoke to was nice and informative on what to order. Food I ordered a few things to try them out: Ha Gow Siu Mai Porridge (pay Dan) Sesame Balls Ham Sui Gok Shrimp Rice Roll Overall my favorite was the porridge, shrimp roll and sesame ball. The other food was good especially in this area, but I have had these dishes other places that may make them bigger or a different style. The place is quite big and in this plaza across the movie theater. They opened last December (3 months now) and it's great to know that if I want dim sum there is somewhere now close by. For the area, this is great Dim Sum and even for not just the area, but compared to the SGV / Monterey Park as well as Chinatown areas, this is on par in quality and taste as well as pricing. So for the area, and depending on what you're looking for, this place is amazing. If you're like my parents and looking for cheap, dim sum, pushed in carts by old ladies, then this isn't the place. They make their dim sum in house, it's not shipped in and frozen. Their dumplings are huge, compared to some of the other more traditional places I've gone to. Their selection is also smaller, but I think they have all of the main ones that I like, and I like that they're closer than going to LA or OC. Overall I'm happy there is a place closer to home with good dim sum, albeit a little pricer than more traditional places, the portions and quality make up for it. read more

This little dumpling joint is tucked away in a little plaza with plentiful of parking. It's literally a little hole in the wall spot with maybe 14 tables total? Menu is not very extensive, so it lacks variety. This was only a quick $60 pit stop before we went to eat immediately after. The xiao long baos, I don't think they used the correct parchment paper because all of them got stuck to the paper and broke, so all the soup ended up coming out. Wontons on chili oil, this is one of my favorite dishes, but here at this location... the chili oil they use lacks flavor. It definitely has chili, and boy does it pack a punch, but there's no actual flavor it's just pure heat. Nothing special. Dim sum is my favorite food and the dim sum here is absolutely amazing. It rivals anything I've had in LA's Chinatown. I've always gotten takeout here and it's fresh, hot and tasty. My favorites are the Han Sui Gok (growing up we used to call these fried footballs lol) and their steamed bbq pork buns - perfect texture. We cannot find this where I live so when I saw it close by the hotel I was staying at, this was the immediate first choice. I was not one bit disappointed. Get Some Dim Sum is another surprise finding when in the Upland area. Place is fairly packed for lunch, we got there about 12:50pm and waited about 20 minute for the party of 4.
