the food here is so delicious! the pan fried dumplings and xiao long bao were my favorite bites. the curry pan fried dumpling was so good. the soup of each one is so flavorful and pairing it with your custom sauce that you can create at your table makes it taste even better. it's nice how they have a sign on how to eat it so people who haven't tried this before have the best experience eating it! the popcorn chicken had an amazing breading and was so light and crunchy and the sweet and sour sauce paired perfectly with it. the braised pork belly was also delicious, i'm not a huge fan of lots of fat but my dad loved it. the chocolate bear bun is so cute and i wish there was even more chocolate filling but it was still so delicious! the store itself was empty with only us at lunch but they definitely deserve more customers because our food came out so quickly and was so delicious. the store is decorated so well with cute character dumplings and fun steam decorations all over the walls. it was a bit quiet at first with no music but then they put the fifa world cup game on the tv and it was fun to eat and watch the game. would definitely come back!!
Really Good Food, Just One Small Issue Bun World was actually really good! We tried a couple of different selections, and honestly, everything we ordered was pretty amazing. The noodles and dumplings were both really good, and the puff chicken sandwich was a standout--definitely something I'd order again. The ambiance was great too. It had a nice, comfortable vibe that made it a good spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. My only complaint was the drinks. Our sodas came out hot in the cans. They did bring us cups with ice, which helped, but now the soda gets watered down while trying to cool it down. Definitely not a huge deal, but cold drinks would have made the experience that much better. Overall, really good food, great atmosphere, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.
The staff was polite and welcoming, and the décor was cute. The first thing I noticed, though, was that the tables were dirty and sticky. I figured I had just missed the lunch rush, so I gave them some grace. The complimentary water was a nice touch, but unfortunately it had a strange aftertaste. We ordered the soup dumplings. The flavor was good, but they lacked the rich broth you'd expect and were surprisingly dry. Overall, this is a decent spot if you're looking for a quick, fast food style meal, but it wasn't the experience I was hoping for.
I feel bad for giving this place 3stars as the staffs were very nice and told us that we could wait inside while they are getting ready. Really I think it only deserves 2. The place isn't sanitary. Most of their tables are sticky and if you look at it in certain angle you can see patches of oil marks on them. Table surfaces are sticky. Sauce bottles are sticky. I felt restless when seated. It was 10:30 am and they are the only place open at that shopping center. Their most popular dish the pan fried bun is not satisfying to me. The bun it self felt stale, there were some juice inside but the flavor of the filing and the outside dough were just terrible. My husband didn't like the noodle he got either. At the end, the only thing we liked was the popcorn chicken. , I might be a little harsh on them as it's a small business but I really think sanitary level should be improved.

If DTF Din Tai Fung was the standard and a 8.5/10, then this place gets a 5/10 for their xiao long baos. Ambiance: place reminds me of an after school hangout for children and high school students. Food is mediocre, but somehow all the kids like it. Service: food comes out pretty quick. Would be the perfect restaurant in a food court. Well technically it is serving the Ontario Mills mall crowd. Pros: Beef Clear Noodle Soup was decent. It's simple, it's flavorful, probably the highlight of the meal. Cons: Vegetable Eggrolls are probably frozen Sysco products. No bueno. And the Chilli Oil Szechuan Cold Chicken (口水雞） was an utter failure. Absolutely failure of a dish. Please take it off the menu or at least put some effort into the dish. Improvements: for the aforementioned failed dish above, steam the chicken, cold bath it, for the Szechuan Chili Mix: Sesame Paste, SUGAR, msg, ginger minced (Alot), garlic minced (Alot), Da Hong Pao Szechuan Peppercorn Grounded, Green Qing Jiao Peppercorns Grounded, add Chinese Numbing Peppercorn Oil, Add Sesame Oil, and whatever in house Red Chilli Oil. Better yet, grab a block of Szechuan Hot Pot Oil and Melt it in. Heck throw in some fennel. Wala upgraded 口水雞 Kou Shui Ji. Unfortunately I can only give this place a 3/5. Needs to up it's game.
Service was very good, food came out extremely quick, ambiance was nice, very clean and pleasant. Food was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be recommending and returning.

Ordered togo while chilling at Legends. Really good! Beef wrapped pancakes and shrimp and pork wontons, yes! Won tons were melt in your mouth good. Came with an addicting broth. Togo order took less then 20 minutes. Packaged with care. Be back to try other items next time at Legends.
TikTok hype vs. reality My wife and I tried coming here a few months ago when it went viral on TikTok. The wait was over an hour, so we passed. We finally came back this past Friday during dinner time... and it was surprisingly empty. Only about four parties dining in. That already told me the hype train might've left the station. Let's start with the Rainbow Xiao Long Bao dumplings. They were honestly disappointing. A bit hard, kind of dry, and nowhere near as juicy as other spots doing the same thing. When you're selling dumplings, that bite better be bursting and these just weren't. The cute kitty bun (which honestly is one of the main reasons people come here) looked adorable... but taste-wise? Dry. Not enough filling. The taro wasn't sweet or flavorful enough to really qualify as dessert. It had potential but didn't deliver. Popcorn chicken was decent. They had solid flavor, but it could've been crispier. The spicy & sweet cucumbers were okay too, but presentation matters. They were chopped pretty sloppy. A little more care in plating would go a long way. Now credit where it's due. The House Special Beef Noodle Soup was actually very good. Rich broth, comforting, especially with the cold weather. Maybe it stood out because the other items underwhelmed, or maybe it's genuinely their strongest dish. Either way, that bowl saved the visit. Overall, Bun World definitely has potential. The concept is cute and social-media friendly, but flavor and execution need to catch up to the hype. Based on how packed it was before vs. how empty it was this time... there might be a reason. 3 stars. Not terrible. Not amazing. Just... okay.
The Xiao long bao pork dumplings was sooo good. I have been wanting to try this place out for quite some time and it didnt disappoint. The green beans were really good too, very falvorful. I will definitely order this again and try out more items.

The food was good! The cucumber was very tasty. We enjoyed the popcorn chicken. The eggrolls were ok. Dumplings we're overcooked, no juice in the xiao long bao. The noodle soup was meh. The service was fast and efficient the ambiance was clean and decent. As far as pricing, it's pretty decent considering the location. read more

Before I walked through the doors, I can smell the authentic cooking. My mouth was watering before I can open the menu. They have such cute buns at this restaurant! The menu is available by scanning the barcode at the end of the tables. The staff works pretty quickly to get your order out once you place it online. I wasn't a huge fan of the buns themselves in terms of flavor but all the characters were really cute and they were pretty study, they didn't crumble once. I like the beef roll, the XLBs, and the popcorn chicken best. I had a good experience. read more

No serving spoons were served with the dishes: Shrimp egg fried rice was delicious! The pork XL needed more soup! The chicken corn dumplings were dry! Trying this place for the first time. Was drawn here because of their Braised Pork Belly. The interior is nice, bright, and clean. However, the tables are a bit small. I don't know how we managed to put all those steam trays and eat the foods at the same time. It was very cramp. We needed a third table just to hold the rest of the foods. Food was ordered from scanning the QR code on the table with your phone. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. Service was ok. We ordered the followings to share: - Shrimp Egg Fried Rice (was good but a little bland to me) - Stir Fried Bok Choy (was light in flavor, but still good) - House Special Beef Noodle Soup (again light in flavor, not enough soup. Noodles and beef were good) - Corn & Chicken Xiao Long Bao (a little dry, not enough liquid inside) - Braised Pork Belly (meat was good and soft, but a little lack in flavor, compares to what I'm used to eating at other establishments) - Pork Xiao Long Bao (it was ok, nothing that would stand out) - Cute Cat Bun (looks cute, it was good, lightly sweet, not too bad) Overall, it was ok. Place looked nice. I liked interior color scheme picked. Looks cool and clean at first impression but noticed right a way a few pieces of papers on the floor as we enter. Ok service. Ambiance was casual, quiet for the most part. Food not so bad but not so great either. I like the bokchoy and fried rice. Pork belly was soft and gelatinous but a bit salty . Beef noodle soup did not have much different flavor than pork belly. Pork XL was savory but wish had more of the juicy liquid in it. Chicken XL was very dry and dough was too chewy and dry. Hello kitty taro bun was ok. Not too sweet and fits my health Issue limit. Very nice presentation though. Biggest take away of the place was the restroom. Smell was like fresh sewage. Huge mistake for me going there after eating. Felt like the food that just got in wanted to get out. Not a fun experience. Not sure if I would want to go back again. read more

I'm quite disappointed in Bun World. We arrived a little after opening and there was a wait. We were told 30 mins but it had been at least an hour before we were sat. This place honestly needs more employees. Its new, its trending, its popular. There were only 2 people attending to the front of house. We saw a chef come out and help bus the tables. The food came out sporadically likely due to the lack of employees. A lot of the popular items were sold out. I encourage putting up sold out signs so people aren't waiting the whole time to be told the item is sold out. The food was mediocre. A lot of the dishes lacked flavor and some were cold. I would not come back. There are many dumpling houses nearby. read more

Super cute and yummy! Saw this place of social media and wanted to try it. My daughter and I loved it. Food was delicious, drinks were good and customer service was excellent. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating My daughter ordered the pink puff chicken burger. Chicken was so delicious and fried were great. Bun texture was different then the traditional American burger but overall great. The fried rice was omg, to die for!! Seasoned to perfection. Our favorite plate!! Let's not forget about the chicken cruelty cutlet, this was also one of our favorite plates, a must have! Chicken is so crispy and juicy. The buns were good but it was too much ginger for us, definitely trying something different next time we go. Overall this place is a must try! read more

Food: I ordered the assorted fried Bun. Good size, each bun is freshly made, very crispy at bottom, and Juicy. My favourite is the pork with Shrimp, then the original Pork one, and least favorite is the curry one... Beef noodle soup is good, not authentic but good flavor! Price: -0.5 Reasonable price, wish it can be one dollar off for each price will be more competitive. Atmosphere: New; bright, comfortable. And servers are very nice. We were here in Ontario for a weekend conference. Wanted to eat a quick lunch. Found Bun World was very close to our hotel. Dining area was clean and brightly lit. Our server was friendly and very helpful. My wife and I ordered an orange lemon passion green tea iced drink. The drink was very refreshing and tasty. We ordered the pork and shrimp Xiao long bao, pork steamed dumplings, pork and shrimp steamed dumplings and the special pork Xiao long bao. Each dish was served steaming hot and each dish had its own delicious fresh taste. The dumplings all tasted better than many large popular chain restaurants. read more

This place is near the Ontario Mills in one of the strip malls. There are a lot of different establishments around parking can get tight. Upon entry, we were seated right away. I didn't understand why but there were tissue boxes on every table. I think it's what they use instead of napkins. The server came and took our order right away. There was a little sauce area to pick up sauce. We ordered several items in order to check out their menu. The food wasn't all that great. The beef roll was cold! The meat inside was cold so that was weird. Good thing the flavor of the beef roll was good otherwise I was close to sending it back. The pork chop fried rice was mostly bone. I was surprised that they even served it, considering it looked like that. Their dumplings were thick in their dough and not the best. The best thing was their popcorn chicken. Nice and crispy! Overall, I was disappointed. I'd likely go try other new dumpling houses rather than return to this place. read more
Definitely need more staff asap. 4 tables needed to be bussed and they just instead of cleaning them all at once, decide to clean them with 20 minute intervals in between sitting one party at a time. It's been 50 minutes and still waiting for just a party of 2. We finally sat down and got straight to ordering. We ordered 5 dishes: beef noodle soup, assorted soup dumplings, assorted fried buns, spicy wontons, and a Chinese hamburger. The beef noodle soup spicy wontons and assorted soup dumplings need a little more work. The Chinese hamburger and assorted fried buns were not bad, it just sucked waiting the longest for them. It seems like a mom and pop shop and definitely in its early stages. I hope they take this review as constructive criticism. That being said, the new girl that was just hired in the front... at one point I was just watching her switch tasks from bussing tables with a towel of bleach to sprinkling sesame seeds on top of my order or assorted fried buns... Tik tok you failed me . I had high hopes for this place but I was sadly disappointed . Me and. My boyfriend wanted to try this place out because of the cute shaped buns . We got seated right away because the place wasn't too busy and you order from the QR code at the table . I got the strawberry milk tea and it was okay . I couldn't finish it . The tea was warm and cold at the same time because they put ice in it . The pikachu bun with fries was just sad . The bun had no flavor and the amount of lettuce and tomato they put on it was sad . The spring rolls were just oaky and the dipping sauce provided was nothing to write home about . The service there was fine and the server checked on us periodically . Overall U give this place a three out of five but it's not somewhere were I would go out of my way to eat out here . read more
