Read somewhere in the comments they didn't like the music. I beg to differ, the music was awesome. How can you not appreciate David Bowie or Billy Idol, coming here is like a throwback to the eighties music scene. I'm a Duran Duran fan, and them playing bands like Echo & the Bunnyman, heck ya! So I ended up here because I was waiting for a trailer load probably 2 miles away, and with all the rain, flooding, I said f*ckit. I'm going to take an Uber and leave my rig at the warehouse and have me a decent lunch. This Cafe is pretty lax, like any of your fusion boba tea shops, with a study lounge vibe, a throwback vibe, really chill baristas & servers...You know, I felt like I was spending an afternoon in LA's arts district. They use to have that Retro Arcade Bar down there in a retrofitted warehouse I think on 3rd St. Anyways, This place is a solid joint to hit up your coworkers during lunch and have a couple drinks. They even serve IPA (not recommending you drink alcohol during lunch hours though, that's on you). Foodwise, I have no complaints, the Spicy Tonkotsu if you grade it on a study hangout spot level type of restaurant it's equivalent to Tenrens, Tea Station, from back in the days. my compadre Lafufu didn't complain either. Check pictures. Jasmine Cheese Foam, was solid, not Sunmmery Level but close enough. Tuna Rice Krisp Bites, I'm going to rate on a lower scale, was too cold, preferred if the dish was a mix between. Warm food and cold spicy tuna. Textures were good, but felt like I had so many random flavors in the mouth, from Nachos Cheese, to Unsweetened Rice Krispies and Sour Cream...just a tad bit much though. The Takoyaki, again would probably have rated a 3/5, not sure the mix was fully cooked. Think the last time I had Takoyaki was at Chinchikurin Little Tokyo. So kinda an unfair comparison though. To complete my order, I also added two more items for takeout. An order of the Matcha Tiramisu, which sounds interesting and also an order of their creme chicken Udon. Check pictures. So would I recommend this place? Yes. If your office is around the area, or school, and you don't want to travel too far off, this is solid place to get tea, beer, Afternoon coffee, and a diverse menu of Japanese Street Food. Just wouldn't consider this a prime spot for a date...like what I'm reading from another post rating this place a two star....sh*t if you plan on taking your wife or partner to "dinner," at least check out LA Eater or some diners guide for suggestions ~~

I did there spicy tonkatsu Ramen take out. It was awesome, and ready very quickly. The staff was very friendly.

    "Matcha" green tea. Nope.

What's unique about this cafe is that they dont serve coffee. The "matcha" green tea is the Costco tea bag. The desserts are store-bought and packaged in plastic to go containers, sold as their own. They could have at least plated a retail cake slice and dusted cocoa powder or something. Not too difficult to put in a little bit of effort. Not going back. But 2 stars coz the ambiance was nice.

In my opinion the food is very delicious, especially the rendang. It's really good. It seems like this Indonesian food is only available from Friday to Sunday. The only downside is that the portion of rice is a bit small. But overall everything tastes great and it's definitely worth trying

A hidden gem in Ontario. I love coming here on lunch breaks as there is so much seating and the service is super quick. While the food comes out quickly, it is such a high quality meal. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious. I always order the Pan-roasted Ojiya, which is a Japanese risotto with shrimp. It hits the spot every time and doesn't taste soggy. The portions are also a good size as well. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place. Love it here!

Excellent visit. Happy hour from 3-9 daily. Great deals. Easy parking in front. Service was excellent. Food came quickly and was well flavored. Worth a visit in Ontario.

I really wanted to like this new restaurant. The decor is super nice. And I like the variety in their menu. But some things fell flat. It's a large space so sounds are amplified and echo. When the lady was cleaning up another table, it was shockingly loud as she threw plates into the bucket. For the food: Crab croquette - has flavor and breading is light but easily falls apart. And I didn't taste any crab. California rolls- I liked the filling (good avocado and crab salad). Rice lacked a little bit of flavor. Teriyaki chicken bowl - beef was overcooked and chewy. Too much sticky teriyaki sauce. Veggies also overcooked. Tonkatsu ramen - broth was very good! Complaint is the amount of chashu they put in there. Only one thin slice. I can go to other ramen places for better at the same price.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon to get some studying done. Overall could not ask for any big improvements! Plenty of space, tables or couches, and super fast wifi. The food variety was great and everything was tasty! Got the okonomiyaki, which is more of an okonomiyaki patty than the traditional kind but still delicious. Takoyaki, curry, and ramen were all great. Sorry, forgot to take photos of everything. Would definitely come back next time I'm in that area.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. We were the only ones there. Cool spot. Ambiance was so cute / they had it set up with 2 seating areas, cute little fireplace and chandelier. I can see how it may get crowded in here on weekends -- cool, hip, hangout spot - and they have boba and alcohol... soooo. I ordered the shrimp pan roast - yum! I also ordered the crab bite appetizer.... Hmmmm, it was like imitation crab on a Tostito chip - they need to up their game on that one. But the pan roast was delish! I wish they had more sauce on it, but it was good. My hubby enjoyed the Gyudon Curry - said it was really good! Overall great place to relax with some yummy dishes. Next time I'll try the boba. We had the Nutella cheesecake for dessert - it was yummmmy! I would definitely come back.

Food and service was good. Did anything blow me out of the water? No. But it was a solid choice for dinner. Food was good and tasted fresh. Staff was very nice. Atmosphere felt very cozy and great place for a date night. Feels very relaxed in there. I am glad they are part of Downtown Ontario. We had been at Strum brewery right before coming here. Unique Cafe is contributing to the walkability of Downtown Ontario and also opening up options for people hanging out in the area. It gives people a reason to explore.

I've been here for an engagement party and I've had my own birthday party here! There is usually a food vendor located in the exterior seating area. It's normally tacos and you can wait/eat anywhere since they give you a beeper to know when the food is ready. As for beers, I usually get my Hazy IPA called "Notice to Comply". It's delicious and always hits the spot. The beertenders here are always so sweet. They don't hesitate to support you. The restrooms are always clean. Again, my go to brewery! See you again soon!

We had about 26 people, and I was so concerned that I wouldn't be able to find a place that could seat us all on a Saturday evening. I emailed with Alex, the taproom manager, a little less than 2 weeks before the date I wanted, and she told me that they would be able to accommodate us! I was so incredibly relieved! After our axe throwing, we walked the VERY short walk across the street, and Alex and her staff had our tables ready to go for everyone! They made our huge group feel so welcomed and taken care of from the moment we got there! Alex explained to us that the food and drinks are ordered at the registers, which made it so easy and convenient for everyone to not have to worry about doing separate checks for a big group (that can get confusing and messy sometimes). The beers, seltzers, and food were all incredible!!! Even the most particular people in our group raved about how good everything was, and trust me when I say, that is a high compliment! The staff were absolutely incredible as well! They were so knowledgeable about the beers, so patient with our big group, and were just so helpful and kind! Everyone is still talking about how great everything was, and I'm truly so grateful to Alex and the rest of the staff at Rescue Brewing for making my husband's birthday so amazing!! We appreciate you all so much, and we can't wait to come back soon!

I must say, the brewery really stands out with their bright and appealing logo out front. When we went in, the place was packed, but we were able to find a table for the four of us. To our surprise, they didn't just have a huge beer selection--they also offered a large variety of seltzers and cocktails for anyone who wasn't in the mood for beer. I decided to try the Tart of War, and my taste buds were in for a pleasant surprise. This sour beer had delicious notes of strawberry, pineapple, coconut, and vanilla. The brewery had a lot of TVs, which was perfect because I was able to catch the Lakers game that night. The bartenders were super friendly and worked efficiently, even with such a large crowd. The 90's alternative rock playing in the background had all of us nodding along. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. They also seem to have a happy hour on Wednesdays from 6-9 PM with food and drink specials, which is definitely worth checking out.

The walls and counters display art by local artists. LGBTQ + flags are present. You got games available to play over here and community fliers to peruse over there. Wanna buy some jewelry by an Indy artist? Got that too! Overall, the vibe here is cozy, welcoming, friendly, and really feels like a hub for folks to gather over a pint.
