As soon as you walk in, the hostesses are extremely friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain their deals. All the rolls I tried were good, but my favorite was the salmon ceviche. It was super fresh, with a mix of flavors that really stood out, especially with a nice hint of lemon on top it all came together for an explosion of flavor. Came here again for sushi with some friends. They've actually turned the volume of the music down. You can actually have a nice conversation now with those at your table. Food comes out quickly. They have a good amount of sushi choices. Their quality is pretty good. I learned im not a fan of blue fin, it was just too fishy. We had 4 doing AYCE, so we were able to get a larger discount off the final bill. They still have complimentary ice-cream. But its a really small amount of it. Went twice. It was good, went there a few weeks ago, and again yesterday. I'm not sure I'm getting consistency cause eel is my favorite and I didn't find it memorable a few weeks ago but it was absolutely great yesterday. I like my eel on the fattier side, where it just melts in your mouth. Two weeks ago, I remembered the peppered salmon being great but yesterday it wasn't. Anyways I bumped up their score from a 3 to a 4 because I think I'm gonna be visiting more. Ambience felt like a wide space with some interesting pieces of random artwork, standard long table where you can see the chefs preparing the sushi. The rave/club music is appreciated by me but I dunno if everyone would like it. If you like oyster shooters from the shell, it was great this time and maybe last time it might've not been cleaned well. There's some other limited items like wagyu (flavorful and fatty), and bluefin tuna (you can taste the mercury, lol j/k enjoyable.) If you want no rice rolls, order the pink lady (spicy tuna, avocado, tuna wrapped), or orange lady (crab meat, avocado, salmon wrapped). Bite sized, very tasty. There was one roll that I found super unique and I don't think I get it at other sushi places, really loved it, I gotta find out. It has fried garlic slices on top of a imitation crab roll. For me, I need something to break the monotony and fried garlic slices, wow, it helps when you have people telling you that you have to finish everything. I think I really like their portioning nigiri, they are very nice bite sized slices of fish on rice. You'll appreciate it because sometimes at AYCE places they give huge amounts and it's torture to the end. This is most definitely the best AYCE sushi you can get in the area. It has always been of good quality and decently priced. It's not the best quality, but if you love sushi you would already know, no AYCE is going to be top quality. It is just right. Overview: Quality is above average with some things I wouldn't recommend. Price wise it's up there with Korean bbq. Parking: Parking was pretty easy. It's tucked in the corner of the plaza. The building as you get close makes it look like it's closed cause it's in pretty bad shape but once you make a turn into the corner the entrance and signs appear. Decor: Not the best IMO, they could have hired a designer to make better signage and the interior is just average. Food/pricing: Sushi was... average (at least better than kura). Heavier on the rice side with the cuts of fish more on the leaner side. Do not get the oyster shooters (one of the members of my party had to go puke in the bathroom) the oysters were not iced and was pretty warm. Sushi at best were room temp and weren't even chilled. It was around 36ish a person and they gave a 10% discount since all three of use did AYCE. The dishes that were decent: rolls, soft shell crab, pretty much anything that wasn't raw. Tips start at 18% so you'll have to do your own calculations if you want to do anything else. Servers were pretty much attentive. Verdict: I might visit again but I would not do AYCE. Wasn't with the ordeal (quality wise) - not comparing to established sushi joints. Just my 2cents from my ventures in SGV and now IE. read more

Fish had an off smell ) hot food are all fried , so oily and greasy! The AYCE sushi is pretty decent; it's $36 a person and it's pretty easy to eat your way past that, No sashimi for the AYCE but they offer it separately if you want more. They also have ramen, udon, and other dishes. The only thing I was not a fan of was the mango roll and the udon. The mango roll probably just wasn't for me, it was really sweet. But the udon was insanely salty, like they left it simmering on the stove all day I couldn't even fix it with water because the noodles had been cooking in the super salty broth. Thought I was being picky but my friend tried it and also agreed it was inedible. Other than that, the fish is all pretty good! FOOD: the sizzling spicy garlic tuna is a must and the baked mussels were a great way to start off the lunch for us! Those two are a must get if you are here! The Bento Box was very big in portions. The sushi on the Bentos are 8 a serving which is nice ! The sexy Jessica was also very good as well! My wife loves sushi. For Valentine's Day, I took her out to sushi but the restaurant I took her to lacked seared and Cajun tuna. She wanted MORE. I pulled out my trusty Yelp app and found Sumo Sushi that had Cajun tuna and other goodies. One of the draws of this location was the AYCE special. Depending on the number of people in the party, there was a certain discount. We had three adults and were given a 10% off discount. The other component is that we went on a weekend, which was considered dinner AYCE (during lunch hours); this meant that we had access to certain specials such as bluefin tuna and oyster shooters. We were lucky being the first people there in a relatively large restaurant. For the first hour, we had the luxury of speed. As my daughter put it, "I like this place because the food comes out super fast!" The absolute favorite of lunch was the salmon collar. A lot of people don't eat this part but it's the best given that it's fried goodness with crispy, crunchy skin and the good fats. One order was equivalent to two generous sized pieces and were maxed out with three orders. The other favorite was Cajun tuna. These were not overly seasoned and had a gentle sear to them. In total, we ordered about twelve pieces. Other honorable mentions include the dinner specials which were the oyster shooters, bluefin tuna, and spider crab--all delicious but unfortunately were capped by the number of people in the party. I doordashed an order of 2 large miso soups because I was sick and the spicy mexican roll because I hadn't eaten in a day! The miso soup was so friggin hot when I received my order so I couldn't imagine how hot it is in person. It's also really really good with a ton of seaweed! Their kindness and hospitality were just next-level--I've never felt so welcomed at a restaurant before.
