TK is still one of my favorite restaurants due to the delicious sushi and rolls! It has been and will remain in my regular rotation. In all of my visits the seafood has been fresh and quality as well as super tasty in preparation. Their Salmon and Eel sushi is so divine. Great sushi chefs. I love the ambiance of TK as well. There are two changes that I think could bring TK up to 5 star range. One would be more consistent service. They have some really great servers, like Chris and Lauren (some others as well, in the past whose names I will get in the future), but it is somewhat common to get forgotten for 20min during a change of service or because they are understaffed, which is difficult when you are ordering in rounds rather than all at once. And second, it would be so amazing if they would have 1 night a week (maybe a Sunday or Monday) reserved for relaxing music; really anything from Standards, Jazz, Japanese, Classic Rock, Trip Hop....anything mellow. We would go on that night every time! (And I've heard other people express the same wish.) It is not uncommon here to end up eating to super loud, raucous, music that makes me feel like I should be in a mosh pit rather than a dining room. It makes both conversation and relaxation difficult. I have nothing against rage against the machine, but I prefer not to rage while I'm eating. read more

This was our first visit here and Sat at the bar tonight , I just have to say Thank you Lauren for great drinks and great service ! From the moment we walked in she was super sweet and attended us right away . The food was as pretty good and came out with decent timing for a Friday night . I would've gave 5 starts if it wasn't for the bartender that came to break Lauren , she had a bad attitude and you can just see her mood in her face . Sadly she ruined what could've been 5 start experience and my date night with my husband . She kept making comments and complaining on how stressed she was to the customer next to us and just made everything completely awkward for us . Man this place is so pretty but customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE Staff completely forgets about you while looking in your direction and just keeps it pushing. It was also not cleaned from the last table who had dinner. And i'm hoping the dishes were at least washed. Yikes! I definitely don't recommend if you're hungry. read more

It was a funny experience. I ordered online on the website directly for a pick up. Ordered the combination of filet mignon and chicken and a side of chicken gyoza. Get to the restaurant to pick up the food. The food was given away accidentally to someone else. Haha well I am a chill person. It happens people make mistakes. I walked out to the car to tell my hunny about the situation. We decided to make the best of it actually have them make it for us at a table instead of taking it home. Luis apologized and did what he could to make our experience good. Reyleen made a killer old fashioned. Peloy was our chef. He was funny and very good. His flavor and seasoning was perfect. When did Tokyo kitchen today? Got there at two didn't get our chef until 335. Our server Robert was not a good server. People that arrived after us got helped before us I was ready to walk out and cancel then chef came. Our chef did make it better. We were told that since we had to wait for so long, we would get a discount and they only gave us 15%. Our bill was still over $100. I don't think I'll be going back to this Tokyo kitchen. It's Tuesday night and the restaurant closes at 10 o'clock. I walked in and sat at the sushi bar and I sat there for 10 minutes and not one person came to help me including the sushi chef. Eventually, someone came and took my drink order but greeted me with the fact that I had to leave by 8 PM because the sushi chef was closing the sushi bar at 8 PM. My wife and my daughter arrived separately and immediately sat down only for the manager to come tell us that we weren't going to be served because the sushi chef was not going to make sushi anymore. This is not the first time the customer service absolutely stinks. If you can find a better place, I would recommend you do so because they clearly do not care about customer service. Went there today to celebrate son's birthday. As we walked in, we hear a woman talking very loud profanity. She just kept on going about how much she pays for the meat and stuff. Didn't mind the bragging but the profanity was just too much. Asked the waitress who she was and she said she was one of the owners. She also had a small child sitting with her at the bar, totally illegal. Then as we are getting our food prepared, another woman starts kissing her. This was our first time ever coming and we had a party of 5 with a baby. The whole experience, from beginning to end, was absolutely incredible. Upon checking in, we waited for 15 minutes, and were then seated and served drinks as well as an appetizer, the Palm Springs roll. We are on keto so we are avoiding eating too much rice or carbs. Our server was Julian, who was hands down the best server I've had in quite sometime! My wife and I went with the filet shrimp and filet and lobster, which I think was some of the best we've had. Instead of the rice, we asked for more vegetables. The chef we had was very fun and welcoming, he made sure to do the fun things for the kids and crack some jokes to keep the party engaged. My daughter got a vegetable noodles, but she was not too hungry, so she didn't eat too much. The miso soup and salad salad as good, and we also ordered sake, but it was a citrus/lemon type of sake that was chilled and very tasteful. I never knew this restaurant was so close to home! If you used to love Benihana back in the day, you'll absolutely love this place. They cook the food right in front of you with the same interactive style, and the food is genuinely delicious. We ordered the filet mignon, ribeye, chicken, shrimp, fried rice, and chicken, and everything was really good--well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and very satisfying. Our cook was friendly, funny, and kept the whole table entertained, which made the experience even better. This is a great spot for a birthday or special occasion, especially if you want to fill the table with friends or family and enjoy a fun, lively meal together. I personally, wouldnt have given a tip over $35 when I spent so much time requesting refills, napkins etc. $2.99 for fried rice instead of steam rice. Fee not disclosed before order. I'm not sure if all but I believe most entrees include a small salad w a carrot style dressing & a mushroom soup (so good alone but also w some rice if you save some until then LOL). I will warn that you are typically waiting a while after being seated as they are limited on cooks- so if you're impatient or super hungry this may not be the spot to go to on a weekend during rush hours. We made reservations requested a specific cook we sat at the the table for 45 minutes then the cook we requested got assigned to the table next to us. We waited at the table for about an hour before they found another cook. This has been one of the worst experience we had. They are very unorganized. Came here for lunch with my family and it was really good! They have a very good lunch special and lots to choose from. I'll start off by explaining the customer service, which was beyond phenomenal. Julian our server was very friendly and kind. Super pleasant person, everything we wanted, which was a lot haha he did not complain. The orders was correct and he was satisfying. Our cook PILOY was the bomb, this man knows how to cook with sense of humor and good techniques. Nonetheless, the food was prepared perfect. My salmon, shrimp, and veggies were on point. I ordered the seafood lunch special, shrimp and salmon. With salad at my side. Also, for my drink a glass of moscato that was just right. The decor is super cute and very modern, very different for a open grill restaurant. I like the velvet chairs, restrooms doors, and the bar area. They also have a seating area for sushi. Overall, this place is good. Better than Benihana's, and popular known open grill. I will be back and hope to get the same service and I make sure you definitely ask for PILOY as you cook if you can. Had lunch there today, had a reservation, we arrived at 12. By 1:10 they had not started cooking our food. So actually, we didn't get to start eating our food till 130 or so. The food was OK. The service was fast & attentive on a Sunday! We made reservations for 5pm however, it wasn't very packed at this time. They close at 3pm then open again at 5pm. The dinner service came with onion soup & a yummy salad (not pictured) Japanese Tofu Delight 8/10: the tofu was yummy, but definitely would have wanted it a bit more crispy. The seasoned veggies were delicious, but a bit too heavy on the butter for me Vegetarian noodles 8/10: so much food!! So yummy, but a again a bit heavy on the butter The ambiance is Instagram worthy with cherry blossoms on the ceiling which make a beautiful aesthetic It was incredibly hot outside & unfortunately where we sat near the door, was very hot as well which made us unable to eat comfortably.
