We've been wanting to try this place but live pretty far away. We happened to be in Pomona and decided to make a detour. We stopped in not too long before closing. We got seated, ordered using the QR code at the table and were quickly served. Food came out so fast! The ramen was done and brought out first. The broth was lovely, not too salty. The chashu was tender and flavorful. We ordered the super tatsu roll (not pictured). It was good but wouldn't say it was anything special. The don't ask chef special was really lovely - a little spicy but refreshing with the seaweed salad on top. Overall, a fun anime shop located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Inside isn't too big so it may get crowded during peak hours. It wasn't too busy toward closing but there was also a steady stream of people walking in to pick up to go orders. Service was self serve order via QR code on the table which I don't mind. Food came pretty quick after ordering. Environment is cute with the big screen displaying Naruto cartoons but it was a bit warm in there. Fried chicken appetizer small portion for the price and it only had regular mayo for dipping. Shrimp tempura also small for the price. It was good but could have been better if it was a mixed tempura instead. Chashu ramen - it was okay. Nothing spectacular. Chashu was a it chewy even though it looked good. Corn pieces were very hard. Dragon roll - this was very good. I did like it. Salmon skin roll - also was good Salmon carpaccio - not good quality even though given thick pieces. Eel sushi - average Red snapper sushi - bad. Not good quality and chewy. I guess I would say - ramen ok, rolls better, don't get the sushi. Considering it's self service order and they don't check on you, should not have 18% as default tip. read more

I thought Ramen Ichiraku was just a fictional restaurant in Naruto, but was surprised to find one in El Monte and here at this location. My son is really into Naruto anime and he has some t-shirts and posters with Ramen Ichiraku on them, which is why I decided to do a Google search last night and came across this one. I didn't expect food to be that good because I thought this place was mainly selling itself on the Naruto theme, but was surprised by the quality of the ramen. I got the signature Naruto Chashu Ramen (non-spicy). The broth was very smooth and soothing. It wasn't too oily nor salty. It came with bamboo shoots, half of soft boiled egg, green onions, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, and chashu. Crunchy Roll was good although pretty standard tasting. I thought the price was a bit steep compared to other places. Sasuke Love was also good. It's a five hand roll combination that comes with tuna hand roll, salmon hand roll, scallop hand roll, eel hand roll, and lobster hand roll. They all tasted fresh. Service was minimal. No one greeted us nor any of the other guests when they walked in. You scan a QR code on the table and order everything from that link. I just think places like this don't deserve a full tip because there's hardly any interaction. I would still come back on special occasions for my son since he loves Naruto, and the food is good. read more

We recently visited Ramen Ichiraku in Montclair again, and just like our first time, we were thoroughly impressed. I ordered the Naruto Ramen with a mild spicy broth, and it was absolutely delicious. The pork broth was rich and flavorful, and I loved that I could customize it with extra sides. My sons opted for a spicier version, and while it was definitely hot, they enjoyed it. We also tried the Pachanga roll, which was fresh and tasty, with a great combination of cream cheese and jalapeno. The service was top-notch, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The intimate seating capacity of around thirty people makes for a cozy atmosphere, and the customer service is exceptionally great. The restroom is very clean, which is much appreciated. They also serve alcohol beverages like beer and sake - definitely make sure you give them a try. A fun touch is that the whole establishment has different anime photos, and they even have a digital screen with rotating anime footage. The bathroom is also decorated very cute with anime touches. Really tasty ramen in Montclair. This ramen spot is in a strip mall near an all you can eat buffet. The inside has a good amount of seating. I've come here multiple times soon after it opened. I've never had anything less than great food. I've tried multiple different items and I think my favorites are the pork fried rice which I highly recommended and to add some chili oil on it. The stewed pork ramen is by far my favorite ramen here, I get it medium. The stewed pork onigiri is something I have to get every single time I order from here. It's just mandatory at this point. The times I've dined in the service is amazing and everybody is super kind. They've always gone out of their way to make sure we were doing great at our table. I love Naruto and the vibes here are just amazing and the Naruto theme is the entire reason I even came here. Even if you don't like ordering in person this is a good spot to sit in at since they do have QR codes you scan at your table to order from your phone, which is nice and simple. At first we would drop in just for ramen and the occasional onigiri but have recently started trying other dishes. Every plate is so filling and worth the price! Sushi & sashimi are soo yummy and made just on the other side of the counter from what we've seen. My bf loves their hand rolls. My husband and I always look for new ramen spots to try, when we found this spot near target. For starters I want to say how clean the location is, very artsy with the walls covered of Naruto art. Pretty good ramen and sushi place in Montclair! The decor is really cool with the Naruto Characters on the walls! The place was a bit hot though when we went in, with one air conditioning, but I liked how you could either order from them or scan a QR code to order from your phone. I noticed when you did place an order the music would stop for a little letting them know a order was placed. Food The food was pretty decent, wasn't the best I have had, but for how it was , in this city it's not bad. They have appetizers, ramen, sushi, and one cool thing to note is that they also have a way for you to substitute the ramen for Udon. Finally a place that has this. There are some people that can't have ramen due to egg allergies, or just want another choice, happy to see that here. They currently have a lunch special which was 4 California rolls, a milk tea and the Naruto Ramen for about $18, the ramen was really tasty! They also had a special which was but one roll, get one half off, so we were able to try their dynamite roll and their super tatsu roll. Surprisingly good! Came in after an anime convention to stay in theme with my two kids in tow. Thought to try this place because my older son (9) loves Naruto. But my 4 year old loved it too because there were other characters pictured in the restaurant as well that he recognized. Their menu was very easy to work with and mobile, so that was nice and convenient. I ordered two plain ramens for the boys and a fancier ramen for myself.
