1 STAR Extremely disappointed with Sushi Kingdom tonight. We've been regular customers here for a long time, and the owner knows us well, which honestly made tonight's experience that much worse. We came in around 6:30 PM on a Saturday and the restaurant was basically empty. You would think with hardly anyone there, the customer service would at least be decent. Instead, our waitress, an older Asian lady with red hair, had a horrible attitude from the beginning and made us feel completely unwelcome. What really got me was how everything was handled afterward. The chef could clearly tell I was upset and even asked the owner if she wanted to come talk to us. She didn't. She knew who we were, knew something was wrong, and still didn't take a minute to come over and ask what happened or try to make things right. I even ordered a drink and was so irritated with the experience that I didn't even touch it. We've supported this restaurant many times, so I never expected to be treated like this. I understand that bad service can happen anywhere, but when the owner knows a regular customer is clearly unhappy and doesn't even bother to acknowledge the situation, that says a lot. The food was good and the only reason why I gave it any stars. We came on a Monday around 8pm there were only two other customers and the service was terrible. The waitress was refilling soy sauce bottles instead of taking our order we had to call the chef to get her attention. They also charged us $16 of gratuity for two people with no previous warning. Sure, the presentation was pretty, but very deceiving. I paid $24.99 plus tax's for basically a bowl of white rice! I called twice to talk to someone and was told the person in charge would call me back, but she never did. I went here specifically for the AYCE sushi, but unfortunately it was a complete waste of money because of the service. I was there for 3 hours, and my server only came to my table about 3 times. I was only able to order around 4 rolls the entire time because they repeatedly refused to come back to my table. I even tried waving servers down, and I was completely ignored. At one point, my cup sat empty for over an hour, despite multiple servers walking past my table. The chef even sat there and watched us sit at an empty table for over 30 minutes without anyone checking on us. How can you advertise "all you can eat" when customers are sitting there with an empty table, waiting 30+ minutes just for someone to take their next order or bring their food? The food itself is good, but the service completely ruined the experience. In my opinion, this is one of the worst sushi restaurants in the Inland Empire when it comes to service. I paid for AYCE and barely got to eat because the staff would not actually serve us. If I'm paying AYCE prices, I expect to actually be able to order and eat. My absolute favorite is the Lemon Paradise, but the Cherry Blossom is also super good and the Orange Blossom was absolutely delicious! We're new to the area and were really hoping to find our go-to sushi spot, especially since we eat sushi often and typically spend around $150 a week. We placed a large order today for 8 people the same order we get everywhere and specifically asked for eel sauce and spicy mayo. When we got home, we realized the sauces weren't included (only enough for maybe two people). My husband called, and at first we were told our order doesn't come with spicy mayo. Then shortly after, they called back and said the person who took the order didn't hear us. While we appreciate the follow up apology, this was a pretty big miss for a large order. Asked a friend what a good spot to eat in this area was and they were quick to recommend Sushi Kingdom. As a self proclaimed Avid Foodie I have to say this place absolutely exceeded my expectations. Sunny our server was a literal ray of sun, it was our first time and she was thorough on her explanation of the AYCE option and menu, she gave great recommendations for both Beer and Sushi!
