Such a nice brewery with great company! Parking is available in the back of building in a secluded lot. There isn't an entrance from the back of the building, so you'd have to walk around to get to the front. There is also street parking if you get lucky. I had visited Strum Brewery on a Thursday night with a friend. I had noticed that they didn't have dinner entrees for sale, so I had gotten birria tacos from two blocks down to bring with me. I had entered right upon opening, and had felt a sense of comfort being there. There was coloring paper on random tables alongside cute, random ballon characters/animals. There was a lot of pride representation and support scattered around, too. This brewery is also very supportive of pet adoption as it is advertised on their coasters. I was able to see the brewery cat for the first thirty minutes. So adorable! I had ordered their Purple Haze Hazy IPA twice! It quenched my thirst on a super hot day! They had AC fans going and it was nice inside. The beertenders were sweet and you can tell they're a good time! Nearly the time we left, they had live performers singing on stage. It was very nice to see! Absolutely will be visiting here again whenever possible. read more

What a cool joint! A couple weeks back I came to Strum in Ontario with a friend to listen to another friend play. There were 3 sets this night, ranging from solo acoustic to rock band to punk band. They were each showcasing their (mostly) independent works, which was fun! The sound system was pretty loud for the narrow, smallish space, but no one minded! In looking at their upcoming offerings, I was impressed with the wide array of musical talent, trivia nights, and deaf/hard of hearing dance nights. The walls and counters display art by local artists. LGBTQ + flags are present. You got games available to play over here and community fliers to peruse over there. Wanna buy some jewelry by an Indy artist? Got that too! Overall, the vibe here is cozy, welcoming, friendly, and really feels like a hub for folks to gather over a pint. The community spirit is solid. My seltzer was delish! The friendly bartender suggested an addition of raspberry, so yes indeedy, please! Mmm! My friend liked her beer, but she likes hers icy cold, so she said she would've enjoyed it more if it had been colder. Indeed, beer not withstanding, it was pretty warm inside, and could've done with some airflow. At a point someone opened the front door. We knew from parking in the back, that there was no entrance/exit there for a breezeway. If you do park in the lot behind, you'll need to walk around the corner. If you can get it, there's street parking. Overall, I enjoyed my night at Strum! It's the kind of place you're sure to meet some folks, chat a bit, drink a bit, and enjoy live music! read more

Great staff and clean facilities are of paramount importance to me - so check and check! There's also a generally a good selection of snacks: amazing hummus & pita (sometimes I take a tub TO GO!), "crummy" cookies (ditto with this one - lol), as well as a good assortment of bagged stuffed (chips etc , for when you're just a little peckish). Aside from the great staff, clean facilities, and amazing hummus (what else do you even need??) there's live music / events! The music really adds to the ambience. If live music isn't your thing: consider stopping in before / after - or just chilling through it - you never know which band / song will strike your fancy. Was there last night to support a friend, my biggest issue with any place that serves drinks is not having enough bartenders they had one serving the entire night To wait in that line it's just not worth it. I'd rather get nothing. It's never made sense to me to not have at minimum two bartenders. It's a benefit to the company the more drinks you served more money you make it took forever just to get a beer, which is why I would pass on coming back. read more

Went to check out the brewery today. What a great time. Nice, open configuration. They have a great selection and like all breweries, some are outstanding while others aren't for me. I asked for recommendations and they were cool suggesting diff beers. They had a live band that was a little loud, but then again, I'm older lol. What was really cool and a little different is they had an artist named "Wayne" who was doing penciled characters sketches for tips. This dude was great. His art looked so realistic and it was fun getting some sketches done with me and my wife and we had him draw the Strum Brewery in background so we had something to remember our first visit there. My son's band performed at this brewery and I found it to be one of the nicest and friendliest that his band has performed at. I'm not a beer drinker but the lovely lady bartending (whom I believe was the owner) was so helpful and inquired what flavors I liked etc. She allowed me to sample some beers and tailored a drink for me that was delicious! Strum is a friendly and welcoming brewery. Although it is quite small compared to other local breweries, the beer and the staff make this place great to come to. They have a cat named Nugget who is extremely well trained and they occasionally give her some treats in exchange for a fist bump; which is really cool and cute. Strum has the occasional comedy nights that are free, they always put on a great show and it's great to support smaller comics. Most of their beers are great, a few seltzers have been a miss but I am always looking forward to coming back to try more. It's also great that they have a touch tunes! read more

First stop on a night of brewery hopping. I got the mango lager. The mango flavor threw me off. This beer didn't have to be brewed. I'm sucker for trying things though. Stopped in to meet up with some friends from church for some brews and fellowship. This is a nice spot on Euclid ave. In downtown Ontario. It was my first time there and servers were very friendly and took my order right away. One of the patrons there had her cat that looked like a mini leopard. She must have been a regular, as the servers let him walk on the bar area. I like breweries that are animal friendly! My first beer was a brown ale which was pretty basic. Best atmosphere and vibe here at Strum. The brews are great, the service, incredible, and I'll keep coming back for more. And to top it off, Nugget the Cat is the star of the show over there! Best. Seriously this place is easy to miss. When I walked in I felt like I walked into my buddy's garage who just converted it to a bar and let their friends garage band play in it. It really has a great feel to it. This is not a polished, slick place. It's friendly, kinda homey in a brewery sort of way. Puppy Souls! A pale ale with a plethora of hop flavor. I really didn't particularly care for this one. The hop flavors really lingered on my palate. Chile Con Corny, a cream ale with roasted hatch Chile's. Chile beers are not my thing, but this one worked pretty well. It had the flavor of the hatch Chile's without the real spiciness. I still wouldn't order a pint of it but of the ones I have had over the years, this was the best. SBC is a light ale with calamansi. Yeah, I had to google that myself. Calamansi are basically a Philippine lime. This had a nice light lime aroma and flavor. This was a very good beer, especially as hot as it was today. Geauxinue is a tamarind Gose. Yes, Gose seems to be the new IPA. It's amazing how few Gose I used to run across but now it seems like every third brewery or so has one. I didn't particularly get tamarind from it but definitely did get a sweetness. Not great for me, but not bad. Chillin' With The Homies is a 70 shilling ale, which actually costs more than 70 shillings I'm pretty sure. This was a nice lightly flavored reddish colored beer. No overpowering flavors st all. Definitely a session beer. Blackity Black Black is a decent coffee-ish Stout. Roasty, coffee flavors on the nose and all the way through. A very decent beer! Peanut Butter Stout (Warning contains peanuts!) if I didn't know what it was I wouldn't have identified peanut in it particularly. Perhaps a little peanut on the nose but not in the flavor. I didn't particularly like this one, though in fairness I think peanut butter beers are overrated anyway. It could just be me... Nothing at Strum really stood out for me. The beers are not bad by any means just none really wowed me. I would stop in again, and probably will although it is a little out of the way for me. The beer is just BAD. I took home a four-pack of 4 different beers, each with the same horrible aftertaste. It is almost like that brewed with spoiled hops. For the price, I forced myself to drink it. I love craft beer and always try all the local breweries. I cannot understand how they have high reviews for such horrible-tasting beer. There is absolutely NOTHING they don't do well. I never go there with the intention of breaking into the "Sausages" skit from Kids in The Hall on the car ride home but here we are again LOL! Yeah, they know how to pack a punch into a tasty beverage so be forewarned and buy some to take with you to drink back at home. I've been a patron since the old place, and seriously, these are some of the kindest, most welcoming and most supportive brewers (they support their fellow breweries) in the Inland Empire.
